The most light-weight solution would involve a metal frame. If you do it out of wood, it’ll be too heavy and bulky or it will be flimsy and not durable. BUT, wood and metal can be blended for an even better design because wood has attributes metal doesn’t and the two can complement each other; use metal at the stress points and to transmit forces longer distances with light weight and durability.

Don’t forget that the towing yoke MUST be able to rotate on the longitudinal axis. It’s also great, but not absolutely necessary, that it be able to pivot on the horizontal axis, such that the bike’s frame and the trailer can be at different orientations, left / right. …Perhaps I could fabricate this part for you, the whole towing yoke, no charge, but you cover shipping and send me the basic yoke part you want to start with or you cover the cost of my buying one locally. …I’d think a used but good condition front axle fork would be a great starting point…

Also, some bike frames have anchors already forged, brazed / soldered, or welded in behind where the rear axle mounts, and some don’t. If you choose a tow-bike that has such an anchor already fabricated in, that’s an important good step in keeping costs down and durability up! In such case, I’d need the details of it to make sure the tow-yoke mounts in easily. … MY preferred design would “echo” the mounts, allowing additional accessories to be mounted, too, such as a rear basket…

That design won’t work for you – or won’t last: it won’t bear the “tongue weight” that your trailer will place on it – presuming your first image is the design you want. Your design will need to provide load-bearing forces to the rear tire of the tow-bike. The load will depend on what you have in the trailer and how it’s loaded in, but it would be foolish to presume it would remain near zero. This load-bearing property is exactly why the yoke used in the image you first showed goes to BOTH sides of the tire – and that is a good design!

Well it’s a really long story. But summary is as follows.

Apparently the mods at RS and CrooksAndLiars were in communication with Neb and Ricki at TBR.

They bitched about Edwin bitching.

Ricki seemed to believe they could shut down the site.

So a mod named Garza *or something like that* told Edwin to cool it.

Then there was another incident where people weren’t thinking and gave identity clues about one of our friends, as she was posting under a different site, under a different name. Youl would have thought the world was coming to an end.

Finally, Edwin had had it and there was a massive blowup on the threads. Apparently, they drug him to a private chatroom where they bitched at him for two hours.

So people got pissed at that and started leaving. I tried to stay behind to pick up stragglers and see if something could be salvaged. Apparently, if you post here at all, you are automatically banned there now. No warning or anything.

Oh and there was a post on RS about how Neb said the Jill Stein supporters at TBR and the “Clinton Derangement Syndrome” had been fixed. Yeah, they went on an old thread, from like 9 or 10 days go, to try to sneakily recruit Hillary supporters. This from people who were bitching about Hillary for months with us.

Everything about Neb and Ricki was a lie. That’s what they are all about. The mask got ripped off, and they deflected the blame onto Plum Dumpling, me, and in the end…Edwin. When everyone saw who they really were, everyone defected. No one wants to be anywhere near them. I see you’ve been to The Woodshed, so you know things weren’t as they seemed.

That was all after the fact. Lies to cover their asses.

About a month ago they interrogated me (another time– not what I posted above) because I ran into 17 at another blog and said, HI. I joked with him that he should start his own blog (as he had been banned so many places.) Cathy x was also there.

Ricki took that to mean that we were disloyal to her and plotting with 17 to bring her down.

And, please note: that means she stalked my progress to other blogs and recorded what I said to other people (not on her blog). Who the fuck is she to say we can’t talk to other people on the net???!!!

I don’t know her that well. Bernie supporters were getting banned at all the blogs so they opened TBR for us. She invited me to come over. They said it was a safe zone, by invitation only, and we could post whatever we wanted.

Then, lo and behold, they are stalkers and out to fuck with everyone. TBR was like a spider’s web to draw in their victims. So now we’ve all left and want nothing to do with them.

It’s all really very creepy.
