pork_links_grandeWith an example of why we need to start afresh, the New York Times points out that most fired police just move on to a new city and are hired right away.

Posted already, but worth a re-post: Despite her failure to stand up to those values now, through her support for Clinton, what Barbara Lee did and said on September 14, 2001 was an act of bravery to remember.

The extremist Muslims of Pakistan continue to oppress and murder women, in the name of their misogynistic death cult.

Opinion, Size, Age, Shape, Color, Origin, Material, Purpose, Noun. Mark Forsyth’s big, old, fat, shit-stained, dead-tree, dictatorial book, The Elements of Eloquence has created a downright Internet Shitstorm!

The Saudi government is not paying its bills. That’s not stopping it funding wars against nations with less virulent & violent forms of Islam, than the House of Saud’s choice of Thunderous Sky Grandpa.

The allegedly-left-wing Syriza coalition sells out Greece to the highest bidders, pleasing their Plutocratic masters to no end, no doubt. “By definition, a victory to Capitalism!

Climate change continues to create conflict, even in large nations with relatively secure water supplies. l, Southern India violence has broken out, over severe water shortages.

In other Thunderous Sky Grandpa news, American extremist Christianity scores another win for “most depreaved” as another “Quiverfull” Christian celebrity is charged with child rape.

In probably the worst blow to her campaign possible, Clinton’s fainting spell will slow down her California fundraising marathon.

A local Madison, Wisconsin news outlet confirms what we’ve all known: The “voter ID” suppression tactic, part of the Uniparty’s RNC subsidiary’s duties in destroying democracy, have no basis in reality.

In other genocide-by-climate news: We’ve destroyed 10 percent of the Earth’s natural areas, just since 1993.

File Under: Got Morals? The ACLU is about to start a campaign to get Edward Snowden pardoned by Obama. I heartily congratulate the ACLU for taking such a compassionate and moral action. I’ll help, if I can. I’m also not going to hold my breath that Obama has the minimal moral compass needed to issue such a pardon.

Your Weekend of Weekends.

UnkaWillbur - May 26, 2017

Here' some links to nosh on, to start of your weekend. I hope everyone's weekend is great; me, myself, I'm planning on jumping out of a perfectly…

  • Nevin

I really have to think about what I am going to post as it could effect how this thread will go.

    • panem et circenses

      Nailed it.

    • Good morning 9+8. Hope your day is going well.

      • 17

Off to a good start. High fives all around 😉

    • Ann Watson

It really is time I treated myself to the means of some real coffee instead of this instant crap.

  • Via The_Fixer from yesterday’s thread:

Bring Back Bernie Sanders. Clinton Might Actually Lose To Trump.

If Clinton ever needed to leave the race, only one person would be able to defeat Trump. With WikiLeaks releasing emails this week and further questions regarding the Clinton Foundation, Democrats need Bernie Sanders now more than ever. It’s time for anyone who truly fears the dangers of a Trump presidency to admit the DNC’s decision to undermine Sanders was a colossal mistake. It’s also time for people to realize that Clinton’s current polling lead won’t hold up with further controversy.

    • panem et circenses

I’m pretty sure the Democratic party would rather let Trump run unopposed than give Sanders the nomination.

      • I agree. Despite his abject prostration before their altar of right-wing dogma, they still won’t trust him. Hell, I’m not sure I would trust him.

  • It’s amazing what authoritarian regimes with do to preserve and promote their mythology. I’m truly surprised Reagan didn’t get this kind of treatment.

Preserving Chairman Mao: embalming a body to maintain a legacy

Mao himself had requested cremation, but powerful officials, including his mercurial widow, Jiang Qing, decided he would join the likes of Vladimir Lenin and Ho Chi Minh in being embalmed and put on display.

Before the natural processes of decay could take hold, Xie Piao, an official overseeing an experimental thermoelectric cooling project, was summoned in the middle of the night and tasked with cooling the corpse.

Will Joe Biden End Up Replacing Hillary as the Democratic Presidential Candidate?

If the DNC picks Kaine as a replacement, they have given up on the presidency. Americans may be ready for many things but they are not ready for a lefty Mr. Rogers as president. Though indications are that deep state insiders wouldn’t have a problem with him. Just what is this Coro Foundation where he was a fellow while in his senior year in college? Dianne Feinstein was also a Coro fellow. Just saying. And what exactly prompted him to leave in the middle of his Harvard Law School studies to do “missionary work” in Honduras which abuts Nicaragua at the time the U.S. was getting knee deep in the Nicaraguan revolution. Interesting,

Sanders and Warren would also be a guaranteed loss. They are too lefty. It’s hard to see them picking up the necessary votes. But Joe Biden is a different story. He’s presentable, familiar and no one thinks of him as
crooked, lying or too much of a lefty. And so this close to the election, it would be very difficult for Republicans to define him differently. A Trump vs.Biden race would be a close one.

    http://anotherdayintheempire.com/2016/09/12/will-joe-biden-end-replacing-hillary-democratic-presidential-candidate/

    • Unlikely. Clinton would have to abdicate her position, and I think we all know that’s not happening, with less than 60 days left until the election.

      • 17

They might pry it from her cold, dead hands, though. Who knows. But then again, all she needs is a pulse. The office has been run by others in the past without the public’s knowledge.

        • She’s not dying. At least not any more than you or I. Wishful thinking isn’t going to change that, and relying on wishful thinking won’t help prevent her election, ya know?

          • 17

            I don’t think she’s dying.

          • Then they’re not likely to pry it from her dead hands, that’s all I’m saying!

          • Dosido3

I’m telling you we need a younger progressive who gets things done. A woman. Because history. You know who I’m talking about…

          • MsPythia

She may not be dying, but she’s sicker than they’re letting on. She’s had her coughing fits for a year. And yesterday had they not held her up and then threw her into that van like a side of beef she would have fallen and had another concussion.

  • panem et circenses

“Posted already, but worth a re-post: Despite her failure to stand up to those values now, through her support for Clinton, what Barbara Lee did and said on September 14, 2001 was an act of bravery to remember.”

Lee’s bravery is unfortunately tinged by nationalism and the myth of a just US society that’s never existed. As a member of the government, she already sold those values down the river, as did the clergy member she stole it from with his mythological just church.

“The allegedly-left-wing Syriza coalition sells out Greece to the highest bidders, pleasing their Plutocratic masters to no end, no doubt. “By definition, a victory to Capitalism!”

This is what happens when liberals or even the further left Syriza embrace government as tool of progression. Capitalism and governments can’t be reformed. They’re authoritarian tools of control over the masses and protection of the wealth of the few. “Good government” is an oxymoron.

Feinstein office: Leaked document not new encryption bill

Sen. Dianne Feinstein’s office is downplaying reports that it is working on a new encrryption bill, saying it is merely an internal brainstorming file.

Just Security, a blog run by the New York University School of Law, published a piece on Friday by Cato Institute fellow Julian Sanchez saying that he had been shared a new draft of encryption legislation that stakeholders were circulating.

    http://thehill.com/policy/cybersecurity/295410-feinstein-office-leaked-document-not-new-encryption-bill

US Public Don’t Care If Politicians Lie

    You know who you are.

    http://www.strategic-culture.org/news/2016/09/12/us-public-dont-care-if-politicians-lie.html

    • Ann Watson

If it’s a politician, by definition it lies.

      • 17

I once read a very good explanation of what exactly a politician is, and wish I’d saved it. What it boils down to is that politicians aren’t real. It’s that simple.

        • panem et circenses

Their job is to be a simulacrum of the ideals of their constituents. The reality is that they’re representatives of the ruling class.

        • Ann Watson

I can tell you what a politician is, if you think of a combination of second hand car salesman, estate agent, lawyer and would be actor, you have an indication of what a politician is all about.
Seriously, politics is a very restrictive profession where dog eat dog takes on new meaning and the only way to succeed is to be top dog and gobble up all the rest.

          • Dosido3

            And we’re wearing milkbone underwear…

          • Ann Watson

I don’t wear any, so much for that. ; )
            But I take your meaning.

          • Ann Watson

            I like my assets unfettered. ; )

          • 17

Yes, but everything about them is fake. Make-up, hair, even the color of their houses is chosen by focus groups and the like. “The Campaign” starring Will Ferrell had a good example when they redid Zack’s home life to fit the desired lifestyle, including the dogs’ apparel.

          • Ann Watson

If the dog fits, everything fits?
Well woof to that, perhaps they should have chosen a cat. ; )

Geez what it is with you kids?

What you fail to understand is that they lie to us for our own good. Once you accept that as fact, it’s all good, and your worries just melt away so you can go back to the grind of supporting your family on subpar wages.

  • SmotPoker

    Oooooh…..

I think I just found a money sucker. Hey Willbur…..

    StarTrekCoin.com

    • ROFL. No kipple for me, I gave all my “Trek Money” to Star Trek Continues. 😀

    • Also: Is that just a sticker over 1 side of a half-dollar? If so: Damn, I gotta get into that business.

      • SmotPoker

I have no idea. I see they claim it’s actual US legal tender so it wouldn’t surprise me at all to find that it’s just a sticker put on a half dollar.

It’s a crying shame I’m too fucking honest. I’d be a preacher selling promises that I’d never have to provide of be held accountable for to the gullible rubes.

        • I’m not so sure about the sticker, but I have seen coins that just have an image offset-printed over the side of a coin (you can see the ridges of the face’s design). Well, it looked painted over, but the design was too clear and consistent (i saw it at a con with multiple dupes by it) to be hand-painted, so I assumed some sort of printing.

          • SmotPoker

Welp, I guess you’re just going to have to part with some cash to find out then….ROFL

          • SmotPoker

I saw you had all the old ST on your computer, wonder what the legalities of streaming it on here, and having a MSTT3K thread again using your copies. Possible, or more trouble than it’s worth?

          • Ya know. I think a Twitch stream, if it’s semi-private might just be the ticket. Let me me look into it. I mean, it’s certain Twitch would shut it down, for copyright reasons, if they caught it. Like the Stein Town Halls that some guy was broadcasting. Of course, they didn’t shut down his entire account, just the stream.

Reckless Security Firm Hired to Protect Dakota Pipeline Company Has Dark Past in Palestine

When the Standing Rock Sioux Tribe mobilized thousands to protect their land and water in Cannon Ball, North Dakota from a proposed $3.8 billion crude-oil pipeline, they were met with national guard deployments, police crackdowns, an FBI investigation and private security forces that attacked them with dogs. A key firm hired during this time to provide security for the pipeline company, Dakota Access LLC, is the British
multinational G4S—one of the largest private security corporations in the world targeted by a years-long global boycott campaign for profiting from the inhumane treatment of Palestinians in Israeli prisons, including the torture of children.

Perpetual War In Four Easy Steps

      1. Ask a nation to do something that will piss off their neighbors in the region.
      2. Promise US aid both in money, and military might to protect the nation.
      3. Nation accepts, shit erupts, and the money train starts a rolling along full speed ahead as money, blood, and bullets are shipped overseas to defend American “interests”.

“If you don’t want to stand for the national anthem, you can line up over there by the fence and let our military personnel take a few shots at you since they’re taking shots for you,” the announcer said at the game.

Not surprising though as they all seem to think we live in a Democracy which would technically be Mob Rule, instead we live in a Democratic Republic, a distinction often wasted on these scoundrels, and deniers of reality.

Keith Olbermann bringing political commentary to GQ

You didn’t expect Keith Olbermann to keep quiet during the last two months of a presidential campaign involving Donald Trump, did you? GQ magazine said Monday that it has named the former MSNBC host as a
special correspondent. Starting Tuesday, Olbermann will air a web series on GQ.com twice a week on the 2016 election and other news topics.

    https://www.mail.com/entertainment/movie/4599386-keith-olbermann-bringing-political-commentary-to-g.html#.23140-stage-set4-3

    • Well, it’s good to see Keith working. Not sure how relevant his commentary will be, He’s always been a bit of an “Insider Horse-Race Announcer” kind of commentator, to me. Though he’s not one to totally embrace the Narrative of the Day, so that’s always been a plus about him

  • Nevin

Brian Fallon, Hillary’s Press Secretary, is really spinning it today. Claims once Hillary got into the cool van she was fine. Also, yes he went there, said that’s the kind of president she will be, working her heart out.

    • MsPythia

◔_◔ Her sycophants have been shoveling the same “working her heart out” thing since yesterday.

Behold The Superior Race! Stand In Awe At Our Greatness!

Homeless white folks go on racist attack calling a black resident a well known racial slur after he asked them to leave his street as they were setting up camp.

Really? You stupid fucks are homeless, he’s living in a house, and taking care of business while you losers are sleeping in your van, changing streets every few days, and you think you are superior to him? I don’t think stupid is quite a strong enough word to describe you morons.

    http://katu.com/news/local/people-have-racist-vulgar-response-when-man-tells-them-they-cannot-camp-on-street

    • So, the homeless folks were racist dicks, the homeowning neighborhood batman was just a regular dick and they got into a dick battle.

      • SmotPoker

I disagree. The homeowner was polite about it, and he certainly has a right to not want the trash left over by these “campers” when they leave as many of them do. A public street is not a campground.

I feel for the homeless, not those racist pricks.

        • Yeah, here’s the thing. I’ve lived in multiple neighborhoods with people like that guy, “TRASH EVERYWHERE!! BUMS! NEEDLES!” and, in every instance, it wasn’t any more true than in neighborhoods without homeless. That guy is just one of a type, for whom there’s always an invasion of some sort of undesirable, apparently there for the specific purpose of driving his or her property values down.

The racists were wankery fucks who deserved to get yelled at, though.

(I have several homeless folks in my neighborhood, now. 1 couple works (hard), but still can’t afford the outrageous rents these days, the two single males are kind and respectful, 1 does yard work for me, for the little cash I can afford and for dry dog food I get from a relative.) That’s pretty much been my experience everywhere but urban centers where opiate abusers abound. )

          • panem et circenses

The desperate act desperately. If I ever have the misfortune of finding myself homeless and having the necessity of stealing to survive, my hope is that I’d figure out some way to steal exclusively from the rich rather than other poor folks. A problem with that is that the homeless are kept far away from the homes of the rich, and crimes against the rich are actually taken seriously and severely punished. That’s why the working class poor and the homeless end up sharing the same spaces.

          • I’ve taught myself, and am practicing it as often as possible, wilderness survival. If I’m ever homeless, I’m taking to the woods, ASAP.

            It’s an increasingly popular option.

          • panem et circenses

That’s lifestyle homelessness that pretty much eliminates your chances of finding a job.

        • panem et circenses

You don’t seem to care for the homeless much, with your classist generalized assertions like:

“he’s taking care of business while you losers are sleeping in your van”

          • SmotPoker

Those particular losers, not all the homeless. I understand how no paycheck for a week or two can totally devastate a family, believe me. Being homeless is no excuse for being a hateful, racist fuck though.

          • panem et circenses

Yeah, homeless isn’t a moral failing. Racism is disgusting in itself. There’s no need to pile prejudice on top of prejudice to express our anger. Racism is a tool of the same system that steals the fruits of our labor, protects the rights of private property and pushes many people into homelessness.

Miami Dolphins Owner Becomes First to Support Protesting Players

Steve Ross, the multi-billionaire Miami Dolphins owner, is the first NFL team owner to join players kneeling during the national anthem in solidarity with San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick. Ross, who is also the co-founder of the nonprofit organization Ross Initiative for Sports and Equality (RISE), insisted the four Miami players who took a knee before Sunday’s game with the Seattle Seahawks — safety Michael Thomas, running back Arian Foster, wide receiver Kenny Stills, and linebacker Jelani Jenkins — were showing the ultimate form of respect by exercising their right to protest.

Setting Fire To The Orlando Gunman’s Mosque On September 11 Is Islamophobia

“Every Imam will be in this position in the future because mosques are open public places. Hundreds of people come; we don’t know their actions [or] what they watch on the internet, Rahman said. “As far as we here in Fort Pierce are concerned, we [are] very conscious — consciously speaking about peace, about love, about unity. We came to this country; this country gave us everything. And this is against Islamic law that you can benefit from a community, from a country, and then you are doing conspiracies against it.”

Works for me, but kinda choppy, and I can hear you typing in the background.

      • 17

        Don’t believe me? Say hello!

        • 17

          Now just lost audio.

          • Try now. Should be getting audio only from my speaker device.

          • 17

            Needs volume please.

          • 17

            There ya go!

          • Some Triffids, for ya 😀

          • SmotPoker

Are you streaming Triffids? I don’t see it, as I also say in the Twitch window for the page if you look it sez offline.

          • Had some sort of problem with the stream. Restarted now.

          • 17

            Now weak audio.

    • Now with streaming MTV, from 1982.

      • Dosido3

        Oooh! VJs!

      • Dosido3

I clicked through just now and it says offline. But I’m late to the party of course…

    • I’ll leave this test running, to see if Twitch cares. Likely not, as we’re unlikely to get the kinds of user numbers (and consumption of their bandwidth) that, say, a Jill Stein Townhall re-broadcast would.

So, we’ll be using the stream to do custom re-streaming of cable-tv political broadcasts, so live-threads, and sometimes TV episodes for “MST3K” style group viewing events! (thanks for the suggestion, @disqus_nX8IaIQISp:disqus )

      • SmotPoker

I’m sure there has to be some cheesy old films that are now in the public domain that we can watch, and ridicule together.

    • SmotPoker

A bit choppy, but I can see it. It is now stuck.

      • Not sure If I can fix the choppy. May just be my connection which, as I always say, is the cheapest I can get and so not necessarily conducive to streaming. LOL

      • BTW: I’m streaming Triffids 1981 for you….

        • SmotPoker

          FYI, still shows as offline

          • Sorry, I took it offline. I had to reboot, due to a program I’m writing running away with some memory and not returning it to the system

          • Let me know later and I’ll put it up and we can watch it.

  • MsPythia

    Seen on Twitter:

    She’s fine

    Well, a little fatigued

    Just a little allergies
    Wait, it’s heat stroke

    We meant pneumonia

What’s with all the conspiracy theories?

    • Nevin

I get the impression that Axelrod hates her.

      • MsPythia

        What did he say?

        • Nevin

“Unhealthy penchant for privacy.” I’ve seen him before talk about Hillary and he just doesn’t seem impressed with her.

        • kreskin

“Antibiotics can take care of pneumonia,” Axelrod said Monday on Twitter, referring to Clinton’s diagnosis of pneumonia Friday. “What’s the cure for an unhealthy penchant for privacy that repeatedly creates unnecessary problems?”

          • Dosido3

            Hahaha. I like it.

  • kreskin
  • Nevin

Ohio governor Strickland says “Kaine is “a wonderful and prepared person to be the president” in Hillary Clinton’s place if it became necessary”

Kaine says Hillary’s energy “staggers him.” Yes Tim, we were all staggered when Hillary staggered to the van.

    • MsPythia

If those assholes make Kaine the nominee it proves they don’t care about losing to Trump.

      • Nevin

I don’t think Hillary is going to step down from the nomination.

        • MsPythia

And again, that’s because she doesn’t care about losing to Trump, and neither does the DNC. That’s why they rigged the primary against the candidate that crushed Trump in all the polls.

          • Dosido3

TPTB are so clueless they just can’t believe that Trump AND Bernie are both more popular than Hillary!

        • kreskin

They’d have to take it away from her , this is what she’s been living for .

      • Dosido3

The best democracy money and machines can deliver!

      • kreskin

Like Hillary is such a strong candidate ?

        • Dosido3

Well she does have a strong brand …of FARTS!

          Childish I know.

          • kreskin

            That was bad .

          • Dosido3

Sorry….slinking off now. Gotta find a snack or something…oh look!…

          • MsPythia

She and the nurses holding her up are Stronger Together!

          • Dosido3

Haha! But really, it’s scary. It’s scary because she really is sick. And it’s scary because she is literally hellbent for election. Why? Why? I can only think she and CF want to control global cash flow and she’ll be Queen of the world. It she cared about the good of the country she wouldn’t do or say or lie about the shit she does. No cure for sociopathy.

        • MsPythia

Kaine is completely unknown. If they did this, it’s one more GIANT fuck you to Bernie’s supporters.

          • Dosido3

I’m sure Bill be happy to volunteer!

          • kreskin

The powers that be are not going to allow Sanders to get a shot at it . They think they can crap on us and get away with it , I hope they will be proven wrong.

  • kreskin
  • MsPythia

    Denying the obvious
Hillary Clinton supporters refuse to see what is before their eyes: a seriously ill candidate who has no business running for President
    https://medium.com/@yvonneclaes/denying-the-obvious-38374a918253#.p7rroys0e

    • panem et circenses

Why would her health be any different than everything else they ignore about their candidate?

    • Nevin

9/11 was overshadowed by Hillary’s incident.

      • MsPythia

She didn’t have enough sense to stay home. No respect for the day or the victim’s families there.

Indeed, no respect for her grandkids since she took walking pneumonia to her daughters house rather than going to the hospital? A house with a young child and an INFANT? No respect for the little girl she hugged outside, even though she supposedly has walking pneumonia which is incredibly contagious for children? The photo ops were more important than ANY thing else.

  • Nevin

Tim Kaine is taking questions and to me it is so bizarre. He’s talking about Hillary and when he got notified of the “incident.” There just doesn’t seem to be any connection they have with one another.

  • MsPythia
  • Dosido3
    • MsPythia

It’s weird — I noticed that she looked a whole lot thinner when she came out of the apartment yesterday too. They wouldn’t really use a double though, seriously?

      • Nevin

On my gay site that I go to they were talking about body doubles last night.

        • MsPythia

Well, she really does look so much thinner!

          • Nevin

Obviously the photos to the tweet were not taken on the same date. But her legs and tummy look smaller than what was in the video.

      • Dosido3

I had noticed months ago some photo with a Hillary caption. I did a double take because it *almost* looked like Hillary. But not quite. I didn’t think about body doubles and all this crap until this weekend.

As for the tweet, it just cracked me up.

    • Nevin

When was the one on the right taken?

    • kreskin

Looks like they stretched the photo … the one on the left .

      • Dosido3

Could be. It still cracked me up.

  • smkngman3
    • MsPythia

      Hilarious!

      • SpiffyTheValiant

        ms 🙂

        • MsPythia

          Hi Spiffycat! <3

          • SpiffyTheValiant

            ^^ <3

    • kreskin

      Good one .

  • smkngman3
    • towerofbabel

Does she support the Pirates or the Dodgers? See if you can get a straight answer.

  • kreskin

Breaking news , Seattle . A car has crashed into a homeless camp . Looks bad .

    • Dosido3

      Ugh! Deliberate?

      • kreskin

By the looks of it . Stay tuned.

Update : Thirty year old drunk driver . One person killed.

        • Dosido3

No! Jeez! I just don’t understand the hate of the homeless!!! So unfair and unkind!

      • SmotPoker

Would hope not, but you never know these days in America.

    • Nevin
    • That guy from Smot’s earlier comment?

      • SmotPoker

I think that was in Oregon.

        • Yeah, just a poor attempt at a joke, which I wanted to take back sa soon as I posted it.

          • SmotPoker

            It happens, trust me….

    • MsPythia

      Horrible. 🙁

    • 17

I read that the media knew this was staged and it was picked up on a “hot” mic. Seems odd that this little girl was able to stroll past security to get there. Good thing she wasn’t wearing a habib?

      • Dosido3

This and Ms’ pics below answer the question about secret service. I see them now.

        • smkngman3

They were there. Images were cropped and this certainly a planned imade opportunity.

          • Dosido3

For sure. I’m kicking myself for not thinking of that on my own. Thank goodness for you guys.

          • smkngman3

I just appened to see the uncropped image yesterday on twitter.

Her handlers were clearly off to the side for this planned shot.

          • MsPythia

It’s really so heartwarming to see her hug a child for a photo op, when they had just announced she has contagious walking pneumonia!

          • smkngman3

She was just showing how healthy she is.

She wouldn’t hug a child if she were ill, would she?

          • Edwin

            Collectively, we rock!!!

      • Just FYI: Hijab

        • 17

I knew I had it wrong but close.

      • And I saw a link to that hot mic story, somewhere, as well. Didn’t click on it, because: Horse Race Journalism

      • Found it (the raw video, I don’t care about right-wing editorializing.)
        https://www.facebook.com/fox29philadelphia/videos/vb.59404413854/10154169939228855/

        • Edwin

Oh, Gag. Totally fake. Totally fucking staged.

        • Edwin

Why hasn’t Karoli made this thread yet? I guess she’s waiting for Brock to put the final spin on it and give it the Brock seal of approval.

    • Exactamundo..

    • Nancy

      are you contagious Hill?

      • Edwin

Nothing serious, just enough to make you pass out

        • Nancy

          how disrespectful of her…

          • Edwin

            Careless, unthinking,selfish and/or a big fat liar

          • Nancy

            yes.

    • Edwin

OK, a couple of things. It looks like she sent someone back to get her shoe.

And, if she has pneumonia bad enough to make her pass out why is she hugging that little girl???

  • Your Optical Illusion of the Day. Can you see all 12 dots, at once?

    https://i0.wp.com/www.geeksaresexy.net/wp-content/uploads/2016/09/dots.jpg?resize=768%2C542&ssl=1

      • Nevin

        X2

        • You see 24? You’re looking at the wrong dots ;^)

          • Nevin

            Lol

    • panem et circenses

      Not all at once.

    • SmotPoker

Yep, and agreed, not all at once.

    • Not all at once

    • Left of Eden

Yes, when I move my eyes in a circular pattern I am able to see all twelve at once.

    • 17

      THERE ARE FOUR LIGHTS!!

      • cathyx

        12.

Download the vids before they disappear!

    https://twitter.com/AP/status/775178645069496320

    • Nancy

we need to flood social media with it…keep it alive!!!

      • smkngman3
        • it will, almost certainly, be that the guy who shot it wants more money for continued distribution rights, or that he/she sold it to some rights-aggregation corporation who wants the same.

It’s certainly possible that the Clinton campaign or one of her PAC surrogates bought it, but the optics on that would destroy her campaign. Not that it’s not possible she’s clueless enough to do that, but probably not.

          • MsPythia

There are people who copied this video a million times already. People have gotten wise that things like this happen, so they make their own copies of things they know the 1% doesn’t want people to see.

          • Yep. It’s called the “Streisand Effect” and that’s why it would be suicidal, campaign-wise, for her to try it!

          • MsPythia

            Interesting — I didn’t know there was a name for it! 😀

          • The funny thing about that, to me, is that if humanity survives climate change, then long after Babsy’s music is lost to history, that phrase is going to survive. So the only thing she’ll have left to mankind, is not her life’s work, but a sole example of how pig headed and clueless she could be. ROFLMAO!

          • MsPythia

            Sweet! 🙂

          • Nevin

There are at least two other videos of her collapse.

          • MsPythia

That particular one shows that her feet were useless, and that they were limp when they dragged her body into the van. Also shows that weird piece of metal flying out of her pant leg.

          • Nevin

All you have to do is show the other videos and say it doesn’t show her feet dragging. It like shutting the door after the dog has gotten out.

          • smkngman3

All she has to do is have her Media Minions get the rights.

          • Like that’s going to be kept a secret. Even if the buyers somehow managed to stay obfuscated, everyone will blame her anyways.

        • Nancy

          she can go fuck herself.

          • SpiffyTheValiant

Because God knows Bill isn’t doing it.(again)

          • MsPythia

            LOL!!!

          • He’s got all those teenage girls, on the Lolita Express.

          • Nancy

he’s sickened that he did it the once but it was for the sake of procreation.

          • SpiffyTheValiant

        • Nevin

The guy can’t be too bright if he just sold it. That video was played over and over on the TV stations yesterday. Besides there is other video out there.

          • panem et circenses

It’s hard to defend “intellectual property” if you aren’t a corporation or professional journalist. You need to hire lawyers and negotiate deals, among other things.

          • Nevin

In this case it was dumb luck to be in the right place at the right time.

        • LOL: Called it!

…or that he/she sold it to some rights-aggregation corporation who wants the same.

    • kreskin

      Unbelievable .

      • smkngman3

        Not at all!

        • kreskin

          You’re right , I should not be surprised .

  • Edwin

I got banned from Mother Jones last night. Every comment was removed. I didn’t go against TOS or attack anyone. I said Clinton should have been taken to the hospital after her collapse.

I guess they are 1,000% in the tank for Clinton. I don’t really care about MJ, I just find it ridiculous that the so-called progressive blogs have the most Nazi censorship policies.

    • smkngman3

How many comments did you post on the thread?

      • kreskin

        LOL

      • Nevin

        Do they limit you?

        • smkngman3

If you stick around a thread long enough, the flags add up.

Even on AN I now just comment a few times and leave.

          • Nevin

            I didn’t know that.

          • smkngman3

The Mods have to respond to numerous flags. It’s easier to ban the poster than it is to evaluate the comment being flagged.

It’s in the TPV and CTR troll instruction manual.

          • panem et circenses

Bait and flag is one of their favorite tactics.

          • Edwin

They were trying to bait me, but I didn’t nibble at their wares. Guess they just flagged the shit out of me for not being a Clinton lover. Finest democracy ever. Yup.

          • Edwin

I thought America was the land of the free. I thought Americans value freedom and freedom of speech. I thought people fought and died to protect my right to say what I want.

      • Edwin

About 10 or 12. Hillbots were pushing back with all sorts of CTR copy and past comments and I replied to them very civilly. I made a point of being extremely civil.

    • panem et circenses

Mother Jones is one of the places that’s never taken action to ban thread clogging and botting upvotes for visibility. Even RS did the later.

    • Nancy

      you are such a badass!

      • Edwin

I saw in my notifications this morning. I was quite surprised as I was calm, not argumentative and did not use foul language (or anything like that). I just was not cheering on Clinton like the others there. (It was a thread about her collapse.)

        • Nancy

          unbelievable…

          • Edwin

Is it? After the last 6 months?

          • Nancy

I guess I am surprised that they are still behaving like that.

          • Edwin

The people of the world, like that, will never stop, never change. Do you think tracey marie will wake up one day and be nice?? Ha!!

          • Nancy

they have what they want…they could have stopped by now.
but you are correct Edwin-they will never change. sad eh?

          • MsPythia

They are miserable sacks of shit. That’s their problem. Being a Clinton supporter is just a symptom of the underlying issue.

          • Nancy

            hahahaha…I love that assessment.

          • SpiffyTheValiant

I really think that at least half of them are victims. They’ve been bullied into fearing Trump so much, that they will defend anything about Clinton.

          • Edwin

In other words they are morons without brains, who do not think for themselves. Fuck ’em.

          • SpiffyTheValiant

that’s basically what they said about trump supporters. well the “undeplorable ones.”

          • smkngman3

That’s how they got you at RS!

They bragged about it a TPV!

          • Nancy

            yup…what an accomplishment eh?
            jesus…

          • Edwin

They’re just jealous because you’re such hot stuff. Don’t forget, you got me babe. 😀

          • Nancy

            I feel like Cher
            😉

          • Edwin

            except way hotter

          • Nancy

            I <3 you Edwin!

          • smkngman3

            Suck up!

          • Edwin

I got an I <3 you out of it. 😀

Besides, you have to be nice to your gf. Them's the rules.

          • Edwin

            RPV?

          • smkngman3

            corrected

          • Edwin

TPV? (must I refresh and wipe out 20 new comments below?)

          • smkngman3

            Of course!

          • Edwin

Ha ha. I swear they are the stupidest band of fuckers that ever walked the earth. Complete fucking morons.

The one that cracks me up is “Nancy the Artist”. Like all the others did, right: Van Gogh the Artist, Da Vinci the artist. I cringe in my imagination of whatever kind of shit art she makes.

Anyway. I learned a lot about myself from them. Like, I am a kid at my parents’ house in Asia and the Nancy (yes, our Nancy) is my girlfriend. OH, and I have a lot of cheerleaders. (Wonder if that’s how Karoli found that out, reading TPV.)

          • towerofbabel

How long were Nancy and you a thing?

          • SpiffyTheValiant

Until she found out about his cheerleaders 😉

          • Edwin

I’d have to check in with tracey marie to find out, but I am banned from TPV so I have to wait until I run into her elsewhere, by accident.

Until that time, consider Nancy and me a hot item. (smooch smooch)

    • Nevin

“MoJo needs you—we’re trying to change how journalism is paid for. Join us and support hard-hitting nonprofit reporting.”

Aren’t you glad you didn’t give them anything.

    • SpiffyTheValiant

They banned you just for saying she should go to the hospital? Me thinks that the Correct the Record bots had it out for you for awhile and that’s probably the real reason.

      • Nevin

Edwin left out one small detail. He said they should take her to a mental hospital.

        • Edwin

Now, now. I actually did not. I had my goody-two-shoes on.

          • Nevin

You might as well have considering you got banned for being nice.

          • Edwin

Sometimes being nice is the best way to win an argument, or be persuasive.

          • Nevin

            But your comments went poof.

          • cathyx

If they ban you, all your comments disappear.

          • Nevin

I know. I’ve been banned from a few places.

          • Edwin

Because I didn’t lick the shit from Hillary’s a-hole. There were CTR trolls perched in the thread. I could tell because they had the usual copy/paste script.

            1) She’s survived 25 years of GOP attacks
            2) are you voting for Trump
            3) etc…. seen it before

          • Annaleigh

Looks like the newest CTR talking point is “women keep going through illness to take of other people/things, etc. you’re not a sexist are you?”

          • Edwin

Just a teensy bit misogynist (with a dash of racism, but let’s not go there)

      • Edwin

I think that sounds like it’s probably the reason too.

One of them went after me with a copy and paste list of all the reasons she’s not a criminal and I replied, “I never said she was a criminal. You did. I said she should have been taken to hospital.” It went like that.

      • cathyx

Maybe karoli got all her gang together to get you.

        • Edwin

Ha ha. Could be. She’s such a shaker and mover with this politics stuff, the douchebag.

      • Like RNC trolls, the DNC trolls have “Flag/Report” brigades. Seen them in action when I worked for a CTR-like organization about 8 years ago…

        • Edwin

Wasn’t it at MJ that 17, me, cathyx and a few others had it out with Ricki, Neb, TBR78, Marissa and the rest of their socks? That was OK. No one banned, no comments removed.

          • I think that was The Hill

          • I bow to @disqus_1uzTskJ6Uh:disqus & @MsPythia:disqus who no doubt have a better memory than I, for such things, my head being filled with programming languages and SciFi trivia. LOL.

          • MsPythia

I thought that was at Mediaite

          • cathyx

            I thought that was mediaite.

          • MsPythia

Ha — we said the same thing!

          • Nevin

And this time you were first.

          • MsPythia

            😀

          • cathyx

            😀

          • Edwin

Maybe at mediaite. They all look the same to me. 😀

          • Nancy

            it was…I peeked.

          • 17

            Mediaite

          • Edwin

Yes, corrected below. I guess their comment standards are low. I thought MJ was a free-for-all place.

          • cathyx

SK got banned from there recently, so i knew something had changed with them.

          • towerofbabel

I must have been like battling the Gorgon.

        • SpiffyTheValiant

I figure that if they have 5-10 peeps flagging you, eventually it’d get the desired result.

          • Edwin

I posted some good stuff, too. 🙁

          • I doubt they have their auto-hiding on, for flagging, on those big sites. We have it on here, but, given the diversity of opinion and tolerance of commenters here, I figure if 15 commenters here flag something, I want it hidden, until I can get the notices and review it myself.

          • SpiffyTheValiant

            ah

          • Edwin

I’m starting to think the DNC/Camp Clinton made/own/designed disqus. Funny how all the sites changed over to it before the election started and what a great way to control opinions.

    • towerofbabel

I got banned from The Troy Press yesterday.

      • cathyx

        Lol.

      • 17

        You’re shitting me.

        • Please deal with your drama elsewhere, Bringing your drama here is not acceptable.

          Thank you.

        • Update: Sorry, @disqus_A5S9iPYgbS:disqus, this was intended as a reply to one of RT’s multiple posts. But it does sort of apply to you and tower as well. And, no, nobody here get’s banned, temporarily or otherwise, for not agreeing with me.

One can even call me scurrilous names, and not get banned.

      • Nancy

I saw that exchange. I will not post there.
so tired of the pissing contests that go on. you were slammed and I think it was uncalled for.

        • towerofbabel

Thanks. But I participated too. I really don’t want to get sucked in to those arguments. They are not productive and not fun.

          • Nancy

I think how a person is being informed/corrected is very important.
it was stupid and unnecessary and all I saw was a lot of posturing and ego run riot in how you were approached about what you posted, when it didn’t have to go to that place.

          • towerofbabel

I’ll take my share of the blame. But thanks Nancy.

          • Nancy

there is no excuse for rudeness and that kind of treatment when posting among friends.
everyone has differing areas of expertise and information-you weren’t treated respectfully.

          • 17

Tower, as you know I was in that with you. I saw all of it, but I’m amazed that you were banned. I’m not sure what to think of things anymore.

          • towerofbabel

People are people. I prefer sites that are tolerant. People fly off the handle now and then. Let’s not get too uptight!

          • towerofbabel

            17, I don’t mind a heated debate.

      • MsPythia

        You’re joking, right?

        • towerofbabel

Nope. I was attacked by a bee and I used the word “jackass.” I normally reserve that word for DNCers and journalists but I guess I just lost my cool. No biggie. I really didn’t have time for that stuff.

          • MsPythia

            Wow. That’s depressing. 🙁

          • towerofbabel

No it’s OK. I did throw out the JA word. Who knew?

          • RTIII

Tower was NOT banned. He’s pissed off because he called someone a jackass – violated the ToS and got a time-out. So now he’s whining about it. Actually, that site won’t and doesn’t ban people. It has a no-banning policy. It just gives time-outs to people who’ve violated the ToS.

            Read up yourself…

            http://TheTroyPress.com/timeout.html

          • Please take your site drama elsewhere RT. This site is not run for you to hash out the drama you create on your own site

            Thank you.

          • panem et circenses

Just read it. You were actually correct. Sort of. Carbon steel doesn’t have to reach its melting point for it to totally buckle under the weight of a building. It becomes malleable at 60% of it’s melting temperature, which is 1347°F. The melting point matters if you’re talking about a beam that’s lying on the ground, not if you’re talking about one that’s holding up a 92 story steel and concrete building against the force of gravity.

          • towerofbabel

When I used the word “melt” it could be misleading. Deform, fail, etc. would have been more precise. The crazy thing was that I am actually a 911 truther in my own way. I believe that there was some kind of conspiracy and we have not gotten to the truth yet. But this time I was going to be crucified because RTlll thought I was a denier. Funny that.

          • panem et circenses

If you don’t believe every single aspect of a theory you’re often called a denier. I like to stick as close to the verifiable facts and reasonable theories as possible, and realize that there are many things I just can’t know for certain.

          • towerofbabel

That’s sound thinking. Some people are authoritarians. Contrary opinions are an existential threat. I mean, we have all been dealing with that for months and in various ways.

          • RTIII

You weren’t banned and your timeout wasn’t based on your opinions and you know it. You apparently don’t see the difference between attacking ideas and attacking people. -shrug- So, you can stop lying to people. Take your time-out with grace, for heaven’s sake.

          • Take this elsewhere. This site is not for you to argue with people about your site, thank you.

          • panem et circenses

Right. The malleability point is what really matters when you’re talking about structural failure. “Melting point” is a misdirection.

          • Edwin

is there a link to this?

      • cathyx

        What did you do?

      • Nevin

I read Troy as Toy. I’m not familiar with that site.

        • RTIII

You might want to check it out!

          http://TheTroyPress.com

It’s a new progressive site. It has some people you know who post there!

Also note, tower was NOT banned from there – he can’t have been, they have a no-ban policy! What happened was he got a time-out of a few hours for violating the terms of service for calling someone a jackass without cause.

Here’s their Terms of Service and Time-Out policies. Pretty cool!

          • Please take the antics from your site elsewhere, this is not the place to create drama.

            Thank you.

          • Nevin

            Whose site is that RT?

      • RTIII

You weren’t banned – nobody gets banned from there. That’s part of what makes it a cool site. You had a time-out for calling someone – me as it happens – a name. Clearly against the Terms of Service.

        • Deal with your own site on your own site.

      • @towerofbabel:disqus , I appreciate your frustration, being banned, even temporarily, from a forum is no fun. And I’m sorry it happened to you. But, as I’ve said to RT below, let’s leave any drama from his site, on his site, where it belongs.

You’re always welcome here, even when you disgree with me.

        Thanks

        • towerofbabel

Thanks Unka. I like how you run things.

    • RTIII

Sorry to hear that. It USED TO BE a nice place!

I have no idea what’s wrong with the idea of taking Clinton to the hospital after a collapse?!

And banning for NOT violating the Terms of Service ought to be a crime!

Do note, though, that tower did NOT get banned – he’s just sore he was given a time-out. (Sure, the time out LOOKS like a ban, but it’s temporary.) He violated the ToS, very obviously.

Actually The Troy Press’ ToS are pretty cool and they have a no-ban policy – instead, they do time-outs for ToS violations. I was pretty impressed, actually, that they take their ToS seriously, but also that they don’t ban people. All they want is peaceful dialogue about ideas – attacks on other people isn’t tolerated, as we see.

Check it out for yourself: http://TheTroyPress.com

      • Please deal with your site, on your own site. Such drama is now welcome here.

        Thank you.

    Fuckie Chuckie to the rescue?

“No. 3 Senate Democrat Schumer discloses pneumonia diagnosis”

The No. 3 Senate Democrat, Chuck Schumer of New York, disclosed Monday that he was diagnosed with pneumonia but that it has now cleared up.

Schumer was diagnosed several weeks ago. His disclosure Monday comes amid furor over Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton’s own pneumonia diagnosis.

          • SpiffyTheValiant

o.o hmm tough call but I think childbirth is more painful than the cramps.

          • Most assuredly, but it’s temporary. Well worth not having life long menstrual cramps, at least that’s what I tell my daughter, to inspire the production of grandchildren;^)

          • SpiffyTheValiant

Yes, he’s just like is pal, Hillary.

      • Left of Eden

Odd she wasn’t taken to a hospital. The only reason I can see for this would be is if it is something which given her medical condition, recurs and is not unexpected.

        • Nevin

Going to the hospital doesn’t make for good optics.

          • Left of Eden

The presidency is obviously far and away more important to her than her health.

          • Nevin

Or the health of others around her.

          • Left of Eden

            Especially that.

The CTR trolls assured me (last night) hospitals don’t deal with this kind of thing: “Not how hospitals work.” (they said)

          • Yeah because fainting is everyday s***.

          • Edwin

If they took Hillz to the emergency room they’d boot her ass out the door.

            (They were trying to say.)

          • Did you inform them that ER’s are legally bound to treat people. There is no kicking out. At least not until they’ve been seen by a doctor and diagnosed.

          • Edwin

            Does CTR deal in facts?

          • panem et circenses

            Facts aren’t their primary concern.

          • Sorry I lost sight of who we are talking about ;^)

          • Edwin

Yet, I got banned for not going along with their nonsense.

        • MsPythia

Yeah, you’d think someone with highly contagious walking pneumonia would want to stay far away from her grandchildren, one of whom is an infant.

“States Hid Cop Killings From Feds and Violated the Law”

For the past 13 years at an unknown cost to taxpayers a federal program has failed to accurately track the number of Americans who die each year at the hands of law enforcement.

The Arrest Related Death program, by the Justice Department’s own admission, has failed to account for as much as half of law enforcement homicides annually, according to an internal report released last year and never previously reported until now.

If you inhale gasoline fumes for about 15 minutes, it’s like acid (LSD). I ran into a friend of mine in high school (in the 70s) who had just done it and was wasted. Are they going to make gasoline a schedule 1 drug?

  • ॐ peaceful_revolutionary

This is such a beautiful read!:

“Hello Dear Ones, an update as I don’t have Internet access at camp. I will share that this is of the greatest things I have ever had the honor to be a part of. Tribes before sworn enemies peacefully praying together, all colors and beliefs, smiling, laughing, singing, for the water, for the earth. Winona LaDuke, Arovol Looking Horse, Dennis Banks, Michael Lightfoot, so many big names here, all joined in prayer. Maori, Hawaiians, Aztecs, Plains, First Nations, and a huge NW group. Today they spoke of the National Guard watching us with drones and planes, and taking pictures of our license plates. “Be careful” she warned. Just as the words left her mouth, a great big bald eagle, Wambli, flew over. Everyone stopped and let out yelps, fist raised in the air. Grandfather telling us we are okay, we are protected. We all took tobacco and offered it to the fire in honor of wambli (eagle). Such an honoring of peaceful prayer here. The Govenor, pockets deep with money from oil, has no idea how to handle peaceful people. Even bulldozing the bones of their ancestors, the people were angry, but stayed in peace. How do they fight that? How can they send in the National Guard in response to peace? So they try to make things up but it isn’t working. Here in camp there is an overall feeling of peace, love, joy. I walked around with a new friend for hours last night, Corey. He had been in the Battle of Wounded Knee in the 70’s. He is the nephew of Dennis Banks and Mary Crow Dog. He’s been here since August, serving as security. I gave him one of the new Pendleton blankets that Liam Bowler sent me with. He was deeply touched. I thanked him for his good work, being away from his family to be here. We talked about how Wounded Knee had been so violent, and this is so peaceful. He took me to the river and I prayed in the moonlight. It has magical. Deep healing happening here. Kids gallop by on horses, long brown hair flying in the wind, like an old movie set. Drums and prayer songs go into the night, all night. Everyone helps each other, looks out for each other. I am so honored to be here. I am moving to the smaller camp to stay in more prayer and ceremony. I will help set up Native school there. Matt Remle, met your Aunt and Uncle today. There is so much to share. I will leave you with this: my heart weeps in joy of this prophecy coming true, and the honor of being here as a part of it. The sacred hoop rejoined, by a tribe of all colors, all nations, standing for water. Peaceful protectors, here with children and horses, bringing love back to the land and people. To stay updated, please go to sacred stone camp. I am about to give a ride to Winona LaDuke’s sister, Lorna, help cook salmon dinner, then hang out with the Maoris and Hawaiians before the nightly sweat lodge. My love to you all, and gratitude for your prayers and support at home. <3"

Media Undermine Democracy by Speculating Wildly About Undermining Democracy

“Washington Post columnist Anne Applebaum offers pure, unadulterated speculation about a Russian plot to undermine the US election—the kind of “what if, then they might” house of cards one would expect from an episode of Ancient Aliens, not in one of the most influential papers in the English-speaking world.” -FAIR

“Lawmaker issues subpoena to FBI for Clinton probe records”

A senior House Republican on Monday escalated the GOP’s battle with the FBI over its decision not to recommend criminal charges against Hillary Clinton for her use of a private email system, serving a top FBI official with a subpoena for the investigation’s full case file.

The move during a congressional hearing by Rep. Jason Chaffetz, R-Utah, the chairman of the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform, underscores mounting frustration within the GOP over what Republicans see as stonewalling by the FBI over the Clinton probe. Chaffetz and other Republicans on the panel said the bureau has withheld summaries of interviews with witnesses and unnecessarily blacked out material from documents sent last month

Hillary Clinton was headed to an emergency room following her frightening collapse at the Sept. 11 memorial ceremony — but detoured to daughter Chelsea Clinton’s apartment to keep details of her medical treatment under wraps, The Post has learned.

Secret Service protocol called for the Democratic presidential nominee to be rushed to a state-designated Level I Trauma Center in the wake of her Sunday morning health crisis, sources said

i’ve seen mentioned several times that the heavy dark haired woman traveling w/Hillary is a nurse. I don’t know if it’s true that this was taken before Hillary was overcome by “heat” issues but her pantsuit seems the same as to other photos.

    https://pbs.twimg.com/media/CsMdma3WAAEuRBn.jpg

    • Nevin

      Interesting.

      • smkngman3

        Indeed!

    • Do you have a picture of her shoes? No, seriously: having a family full of nurses, serving all over the medical profession (practices, hospitals, home-health, etc.) that will answer the question, for me.

      • Nevin

Do her feet have to be in them?

      • Nevin
        • cathyx

          I understand he’s not a medical doctor?

          • Nevin

I was just trying to find a photo of the nurses’ feet for Unka. This one just happened to have the arrow on the guy. I’ve heard people argue SS wouldn’t allow someone that overweight. Just one more mystery.

          • smkngman3

Hillary would never allow SS to touch/support her!

I think what shoes the woman wears is a non issue as it would give away her profession.

The Big dude disappeared for awhile when it was claimed he carrried some kind of medication. But he has been back recently.

          • Nevin

I’m not going to get hung up on the shoes either. Notice when they are walking Hillary is squeezing the woman’s hand or fingers.

          • smkngman3

            Get a grip! ; )

          • Edwin

Who is that woman? Her new BFF. I mean seriously, who is she?

          • Nevin

People are speculating she is a nurse.

          • Edwin

And if she isn’t, who the heck is she going around with her holding hands while she’s campaigning?

If she isn’t a nurse then it’s really fucking weird.

          • smkngman3

Index finger. Look at her knuckles which indicate her other fingers are bent.

          • Left of Eden

Where did you hear that? Isn’t he the same person who rushed to her side during an Arizona rally (or was it Nevada?) and told her that they were there and to continue talking. He is also the same person, I believe, carrying what appears to some eyes a Diazepam pen at her nomination speech. I’d say the inner coterie, comprised of the two women and African American man are medical staff and the outer ring are security agents.

          • Edwin

Ha ha. As team Hillary strives to erase the incident from the internet and from our memories (Streisand Effect– h/t Unka), millions of pairs of eyes are scrutinizing ever picture they can get their hands on to decipher all the lies we’ve been told.

(I’d better go to C&L and see what Karoli Kuns found. Good idea, no?)

          • Nevin

Edwin why don’t just you just create another account and post there?

          • Edwin

            That would be no fun.

          • Nevin

I think it would be cause they don’t know it is you.

          • Edwin

Believe me, I have thought about it, but I think I should save it for a “zinger moment.”

Like rubbing all their noses in it when she loses (or drops out).

          • smkngman3

            That be he!

        • Well, with this pic I’m left still undecided on the lady in the dark dress. She could be a nurse, but she’s not wearing a nurse’s shoes, those are too fashionable on hot good for her feet. I’ve never known a nurse, on duty to wear shoes you couldn’t stand in for hours. Now, maybe the Clinton campaign forces her to wear them, but as I said, that only leaves me undecided. 😀

          • Nevin

The woman to the left carrying a purse looks like she is wearing the same shoes. Flats are pretty comfortable and it is not like she is in a hospital environment.

          • It’s just, in my experience (I can, off hand, think of 18 nurses in my family (Including cousins, aunts, etc.) Nurses wear high-quality sneakers, just about everywhere.

Like I said, her not wearing “nurse’s shoes) doesn’t mean, to me, she’s not a nurse, it’s just not the “positive” proof I would need to say, “Yup, looks like a nurse to me!”

            😀

          • smkngman3

Well, do you think the “nurse” asked Hillary to squeeze her finger or pull it?

          • I’d have to see the video. From the still she could just be holding it. But, If I’m allowed to speculate, I’d say fart humor is beneath Her Nibbs. ROFL

            😉 😛

          • smkngman3

Look closely at the image I posted.

Look closely at the “nurses” hand/knuckles. Hillary has a grip on the index finger.

I didn’t see your response and just posted that to you down thread.

          • Nevin

Actually her right hand is supporting Hillary’s hand while the left hand on top of Hillary’s hand. God, I’m going to have hand nightmares tonight.

          • Well, as I’ve said, all the nurses I’ve know don’t care about the environment they’re in. They just seem addicted to the super-arch-support style of tennis-shoe. That she’s not wearing them isn’t indicative of anything, to me.

      • smkngman3

This is not the first time that this woman was described as a nurse.

It is the first time I’ve seen Hillary squeezing her finger!

“LONG-SECRET STINGRAY MANUALS DETAIL HOW POLICE CAN SPY ON PHONES”

HARRIS CORP.’S STINGRAY surveillance device has been one of the most closely guarded secrets in law enforcement for more than 15 years. The company and its police clients across the United States have fought to keep information about the mobile phone-monitoring boxes from the public against which they are used. The Intercept has obtained several Harris instruction manuals spanning roughly 200 pages and meticulously detailing how to create a cellular surveillance dragnet.

  • Brian Sonenstein brings us an update on the nation-wide prison strike. Sadly, a blessed relief from speculation on Clinton’s health woes. We definitely need more of this kind of action, throwing off of our economic shackles!

Prison Strike Against Slave-Like Conditions Spreads To At Least Twelve States

Years of prisoner organizing and resistance culminated on September 9, as a national labor strike against slave-like conditions started. As of this writing, incarcerated workers in facilities in at least twelve states reportedly engaged in work stoppages. Some counts even put the number at 24 states.

EDIT: It would help if I included a title for the link.

    • smkngman3
      • Yeah, doesn’t reach me. Horse-race gossip about a candidate’s health is just meaningless bullshit, in comparison to the torture and murder inflicted upon America’s imprisoned slave-class.

Not to be too serious, but, well, it’s a serious issue and the gossip about Clinton’s health is, IMO, a media distraction from the real issues that disqualify her. If it was a real, serious issue, would the corporate media be spending so much time talking about it? My experience with them say, “no.”

        • smkngman3

Hillarys media has gone out of its way to IGNORE questions on Hillarys health. They chose to minimize all questions of her coughing fits as well.

Without the video taken yesterday this would still not be an issue!

Remember, initial reports suggested her having “heat” issues.

My new neighbor was using AirDrop to move some files from his phone to his iMac. I hadn’t introduced myself yet, but I already knew his name. Meanwhile, someone with a Pebble watch was walking past, and someone named “Johnny B” was idling at the stoplight at the corner in their Volkswagen Beetle, following directions from their Garmin Nuvi. Another person was using an Apple Pencil with their iPad at a nearby shop. And someone just turned on their Samsung smart television.

I knew all this because each person advertised their presence wirelessly, either over “classic” Bluetooth or the newer Bluetooth Low Energy (BTLE) protocol—and I was running an open source tool called Blue Hydra, a project from the team at Pwnie Express. Blue Hydra is intended to give security professionals a way of tracking the presence of traditional Bluetooth, BTLE devices, and BTLE “iBeacon” proximity sensors. But it can also be connected to other tools to provide alerts on the presence of particular devices.

Oh. I thought you were talking about that 1960s movie (I think it was the sixties.). Didn’t realize there was a later miniseries. How did I miss that?

          • Yep! And it’s actually quite good. Way better than the movie, imho. There’s also a 2009 remake of that series, also from the BBC, which is good, but not quite as good, I think.

BONUS: All the 80s tech and clothing is a laugh-riot.

          • notisaidthepig

Oh, I must to see it (as we would say in Kiev)!

        • notisaidthepig

Oh, no. Remember to take care of yourself first and foremost.

        • Sorry, 🙁 I’m assuming you’ve talked to a doctor already. Wishing you well

          • all_hail_the_hypno_toad

Well the cold didn’t happen in a vacuum. In reality my liver is not doing well, kept me awake most of last week, hence the cold happened. A few tell tale signs have continued to show up and well a fever.

          • <3

    • I’ve played with Blue Hydra. People just have no clue.

    • Nancy

      hello Daniel!

      • all_hail_the_hypno_toad

        • Nancy

          hugs

            Hugs back.

Back in the 1960s, a sugar industry executive wrote fat checks to a group of Harvard researchers so that they’d downplay the links between sugar and heart disease in a prominent medical journal—and the researchers did it, according to historical documents reported Monday in the journal JAMA Internal Medicine.

One of those Harvard researchers went on to become the head of nutrition at the United States Department of Agriculture, where he set the stage for the federal government’s current dietary guidelines. All in all, the corrupted researchers and skewed scientific literature successfully helped draw attention away from the health risks of sweets and shift the blame solely to fats—for nearly five decades. The low-fat, high-sugar diets that health experts subsequently encouraged are now seen as a main driver of the current obesity epidemic.

The bitter revelations come from archived documents from the Sugar Research Foundation (now the Sugar Association), dug up by researchers at the University of California, San Francisco. Their dive into the old, sour affair highlights both the perils of trusting industry-sponsored research to inform policy and the importance of requiring scientists to disclose conflicts of interest—something that didn’t become the norm until years later. Perhaps most strikingly, it spotlights the concerning power of the sugar industry.

    • Corrupting politicians is a fairly well-known phenomenon. Corruption of academics is something quite a few people have yet to catch onto.

      • notisaidthepig

It’s so unethical it makes my blood boil.

        • Mine too Noti.

          • notisaidthepig

Good evening, Stephanie. I hope you are doing well.

          • Yes Noti, very fine :^) I saw that you had a good day too.

          • notisaidthepig

Glad to hear it. Yes, I had a great day. Glad the last two weeks of setting the stage finally paid off. Noti rules! 😉

          • all_hail_the_hypno_toad

Nice, glad to hear. I knew you could do it.

          • notisaidthepig

            Awww. Thanks, Toad.

          • Fist pump for Noti rules :^)

    • SpiffyTheValiant

*waves white flag* everything i like is apparently going to kill me.

      • all_hail_the_hypno_toad

Hugs Spiffy as we wait for our doom.

        • SpiffyTheValiant

well if i’m going to die, it was nice knowing all of you.

          • all_hail_the_hypno_toad

            Likewise.

          • SpiffyTheValiant

            yup

          • SpiffyTheValiant

            🙂

      • Life is a terminal disease.

      • Nevin

If you drink enough you won’t remember what is going to kill you. 🙂

        • SpiffyTheValiant

          yay

        • notisaidthepig

          So smart. Oink!

          • Nevin

        (((joins the club)))

    • Dosido3

My first question about these types of studies is ” who funded the study?”

      • Yep, same here. I wish more people ask that question.

  • all_hail_the_hypno_toad
    • Nancy

      like these!
they remind me of Patrick Nagel’s work.
      http://www.patricknagel.com/

      • all_hail_the_hypno_toad

        Those look familiar.

        • Nancy

he was very famous in the 80’s

      • Thank you, I could NOT remember his name. Though I own a couple of his prints.

        /bought in the 80s.

// PRINTS, I’m not rich. LOL.

        • Nancy

          lol
I have been a fan for years.

          • That explains a lot.

            😉 😛

          • Nancy

            ha! ;-P

        • Dosido3

Fun fact: one of his models was Jeana Tomasino Keough, one of the Real Housewives of the OC…

          • I vaguely remember her from Playboy. I wouldn’t know about the TV show you mentioned. I don’t watch those shows”.

(* Exposure to the kind of bitchy drama they portray pushes us, unconsciously, to adopt that behavior. It’s a natural response that normally occurs when a person joins new social group, we start to adopt the traits and features of that groups members..)

          • Dosido3

Yeah… I don’t either except I caught the one at her house where she mentions it to a new friend because she saw the Nagel print.

          • Dosido3

Oh and ZZtops Legs video. I don’t buy Playboy!

          • Well, I don’t buy it now, but I was 14 in 1980, so…. 😀

          • Dosido3

Yeah, now we have the Internet!

          • Yeah, but now I’m too old to show such rabid interest, in ink and paper (electricity & light?) girls. My interests now revolve around the real ones that tell me they want me to hold them. 😀

          • Dosido3

            LOL. Good man!

    • All very well done. Really like the Rachel one.

    • MsPythia

      Beautiful.

    • The_Fixer

I love the Batmobile poster. When the Batman TV series premiered early 1966, I was 11 years old and was in love with the Batmobile. It was the coolest thing I had ever seen. I spent hours trying to figure out what kind of car it was based on, only to learn years later that it was built from a Lincoln Futura from the 1950s.

When I was perhaps 18, I learned that it was on display in a car museum North of Chicago. As I lived in the Chicago area, it was a manageable trip and I was anxious to see it in person.

When I got there, I was horrified at what I saw. It’s formerly perfect glossy paint job had been replaced by… “Bat Fur”. I was deeply disappointed, it was worse than learning that there was no Santa Claus.

The Batman series had long been cancelled and the public had lost interest in it. As a result, the tours of the Batmobile were not bringing in much interest, and therefore, not much money. In order to cut down on maintenance (the constant care of the finish – washing and waxing fingerprints off of that beautiful gloss black finish), George Barris, the owner and creator of the car had this stupid “bat fur” put on over that beautiful gloss-black paint.

Eventually, interest in Batman, along with the interest in that wonderfully campy 1960s series, came back. Barris had the good sense to restore it’s glossy black paint job and gave it a sort of restoration. He later sold the car for $4.5 Million – here’s the YouTube video of the auction:

      https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TNIpjHy7500

It starts at about 1:45 or so.

It has also inspired people to create their own replicas. Here’s one of them, made from the original molds that George Barris used:

      https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mc0DBCEG_2Q

Yes, the one, the only, the original Batmobile was the car I loved in my youth.

      • Hello Fixer :^)

        • The_Fixer

Hi, Stephanie. How are you doing tonight?

          • Good, hope you are doing well :^)

          • The_Fixer

I am doing well, but going to turn in soon. You have a good night!

          • Have a goodnight Fixer :^)

      • all_hail_the_hypno_toad

Can’t build replicas anymore, trademarked. Stupid IP system we have here.

        • The_Fixer

There is a guy who does make them, and is licensed by DC Comics to do so. They start at $100,000. I am sure a significant portion of that is a royalty payment.

But yeah, one has to be licensed to do so. And yeah, the IP system in this country is whacky. One could write a book about it (and people have, I’m sure). It is outright stupid.

  • notisaidthepig
    • all_hail_the_hypno_toad

      Yes she is.

      • notisaidthepig

It’s official: I’m in love with Jimmy. He really speaks for me.

I haven’t disagreed with what he says yet.

          • Edwin

Back of the line, Buster. I called dibs first.

            (Hi, Daniel.)

          • SpiffyTheValiant

You already have cheerleaders and should learn to share 😛

          • Edwin

In what universe are cheerleaders and our Jimmy!!! even remotely alike.

(I love you, dearly, my cheerleaders, but there’s only one Jimmy!!!)

        • Nevin

Has he reached out and touched you yet?

          • Nancy

show us on the doll where he touched you…

          • MsPythia

            LMAO!

          • Nevin

            To you or Noti?

          • MsPythia

Me. 😀 I don’t mind if he visits Piggie though. I don’t want to be selfish.

          • Edwin

Maybe Jimmy is good with sharesies… or even group meetings

        • MsPythia

He’s got it all. Smart, funny, fearless and handsome.

        too funny eh?!

        • Yeah, for me, it’s too funny in some ways, too sad, in others. 🙁

    • MsPythia

They just want a little attention.

      • Nancy

        indeed…evening!

    • Dosido3

Who funded this? :P. Seriously, cool graphic.

      • It’s from teh webcomic site, XKCD. I don’t think it was funded by anyone but the artist. I lists his sources, in the timeline and, IIRC, on the page.

        • Dosido3

Oh I was just being sarcastic about funding and sincere about its coolness…thanks for sharing. I like when abstract or big scale ideas are put into a easy to understand picture.

          • Derp! I missed the sarcasm. Well, I’m old and things are breaking down all the time. LOL.

          • Dosido3

Np. I’m old and not always clear!

    • Nancy

      so cool!

    • MsPythia

I could use some of that slate for landscaping.

      • Nevin

How much are you going to charge your clients?

        • MsPythia

Well, I was thinking more for me… It would be so exotic to have Martian Landscaping!

          • Nevin

Looks like it would be pain in the ass.

          • MsPythia

I think it would be quite expensive to hire the cosmonauts needed to make a decent garden display! 😉

          • Nevin

There you go…always thinking about your bottom line.

          • MsPythia

Well, I mean why bother if you can’t make an impression? Although I guess a small free standing fountain grotto in a corner of the yard might be okay — probably could get that on the cheap.

    • Super cool! Some good roof-tile there. 😉

  • all_hail_the_hypno_toad

Can’t stay up any longer, laters

          • Nevin

            Collateral damage.

          • lindajoyous

            I agree, very irresponsible!

          • Dosido3

She didn’t want to go to an ER and declare her real ailment, that’s for sure.

      • lindajoyous

Check down below, my comment to you went to Nevin lol! Here is what I wrote!

Sorry I missed your comment, My son is getting married on the 1st! Thank you Nancy! 🙂

    • Hi Linda :^)

  • More Islamophobic violence.

A Muslim woman was just set on fire in the middle of NYC

“[The attack is] symptomatic of the overall rise in Islamophobic sentiment in our society,” said Ibrahim Hooper, of the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), stressing the importance of a complete investigation. “That’s based on the spike across the country in hate crimes and hate incidents, in recent days and over the past year,” he said.

    • MsPythia

Probably hired by her family. 🙁

      • That would then be Islamic Misogyny. Just as terrible.

        • MsPythia

They go after their women who try to lead western-style lives.

          • Most certainly. Extremist Islamic sects and their practices are a stain on a region with some fine people.

      • Dosido3

My guess is 9/11 “payback”. Awful.

        • MsPythia

          Could be that too. 🙁

  • Nevin

  • MsPythia

Just saw this on the Twits, not sure if it’s based in any truth, but if so…

    • Nevin

      “provisions” is the key word.

    • Well, he’s a centrist Dem, who couldn’t get elected in Nevada (1% in the primary), but beyond that, I don’t have a baseline of data to to judge his reliability.

      • MsPythia

I bet he’d do better than Biden or Kaine would.

        • Sanders? Almost certainly!

        • Nevin

          In a national election?

          • MsPythia

Yes. There were a lot of people who liked Bernie’s stances on things who are independents.

          • Nevin

What a minute, I was talking about Dan. Dammit, I’m becoming Hillary.

          • MsPythia

            😀

          • Nevin

Lets just keep this between you and I.

          • MsPythia

It’s okay to have a brain fart occasionally. As long as you’re not being tossed into a van like a side of beef and losing shoes and shit! 🙂

          • You guys crack me up.

          • Nevin

Wait a minute, there was shit? Was Hillary lying in it?

          • MsPythia

Likely. I think we saw the metal piece that held her bag to her leg pop off!

        • Safe bet :^)

      • Dosido3

Bernie should run as an independent. Maybe it’s too late…

        • Far too late. He couldn’t get on many, if any ballots.

          • Dosido3

Agreed. But what IF hacking Hillary dropped out?

          • Nevin

Are you serious Dosido? Hillary will drop out once they embalm her.

          • Dosido3

Lol. Well, yes and no. As I said earlier today she is literally hellbent for election. She’s not dead yet!

          • Nevin

            She’s not dead yet!

            That’s what you think. 😉

          • Dosido3

I hope the body double is ready to tell her family that her business trip is going to last a little longer…

          • Nevin

I’ve got to say, if my life’s vision would be a body double I would hope I looked like Jennifer O’Neill.

          • Dosido3

Jennifer O’Neill? Like from the 70s?

          • Nevin

Yes, although she is a little crazy.

          • Dosido3

Lol. Whatever floats your boat! I think I’d like to be Cate Blanchett.

          • Nevin

Hopefully you would have better taste than her.

          • If the Dems were smart enough to make him their candidate, then yes, as I said below, I think it’s quite possible. I think it’s highly unlikely Clinton will drop out.

But, as an independent, he just could not get on the ballot in any significant number of states, this late.

          • Blue Basilisk

How would the process work at this stage of the election if one of the candidates did have to drop out for whatever reason? Would the VP pick continue in their stead or would the party select a new candidate?

          • Depends on the party. For the Dems, a candidate would have to choose to drop out. In that case the party would select a committee to chose a replacement. As I understand it, no one has preference, not the VP pick, not runner up in the primaries, just whoever the committee wants.

I Protected Hillary Clinton In The Secret Service – Here’s Why Her ‘Fainting’ Video Really Scares Me
    http://linkis.com/ijr.com/opinion/2016/CC0jK

    • Nevin

The agent that takes her right arm was fascinating to watch. I know they are trained in this, but it seemed so routine to him.

      • MsPythia

That’s what he said in that article — that it looked like they’d done this before. How crazy is that that they would allow a woman this sick to pretend she’s well?!

Also, and perhaps not surprisingly, there are people trying to blame the Russians for Hillary’s ailment!

The man who discovered CTE thinks Hillary Clinton may have been poisoned

        http://www.bostonglobe.com/news/politics/2016/09/12/the-man-who-discovered-cte-thinks-hillary-clinton-may-have-been-poisoned/QnJcVOEuxHX0hkcu3yuqKK/story.html?s_campaign=bostonglobe%3Asocialflow%3Atwitter

        • Nevin

That’s just fucking bizarre. How many people can get that close to the Clinton’s to poison them?

          • MsPythia

Her supporters are getting desperate. They’ve lied over her record all along, so why not lie about this. She and her supporters are a bunch of stupid, dishonest people.

        • Edwin

I thought they were blaming her ailment(s) on misogynists, like me.

Maybe some are the Russians’ fault and some are the misogynists’ fault and maybe even some crossover. I shudder to think about Russian misogynists!!! (hides under bed)

          • MsPythia

Just so that NOTHING is ever Hillary’s fault!

    • lindajoyous

      Great article MyPythia! 🙂

      • MsPythia

I thought so too. He really feels bad for her detail!

        • lindajoyous

How in the heck would she do a State of The Union Address with all that coughing! My dad used to cough alot, but his was due to his heart. After years of coughing they put a pace maker in him and that eliminated a lot of the coughing!

    • Nevin

You can’t stay mad watching an adorable child like that. Innocence not corrupted.

  • MsPythia

Hillary “can’t recall” how many of these dizzy spells she’s had.

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cMqmhqjQkUI

    • Nevin

To be honest, I can’t recall how dizzy I have been over the Clinton BS.

      • MsPythia

I think she’s got something wrong with her, but let’s say it’s really just that she was dehydrated while having pneumonia, once again we see that it gets back to her poor judgement. She (supposedly, and who knows because she lies all the time) ignored her doctors advice, and didn’t have enough sense to drink water? It’s absurd if this is the case, and she doesn’t show much sense.

        • Nevin

It takes a lot to get dehydrated. Living in Arizona I have sweated my ass off and never fainted due to dehydration.

          • My experiences would differ. And, neither of us are 70 years old. My mom, who’s 74 wouldn’t last 15 minutes in the summer sun, even just standing there, without shade, water and a place to sit.

          • Nevin

I’m 60 and never came close to dehydration.

          • MsPythia

Then how can she perform the job of president if she can’t handle a beautiful day in New York in the upper 70’s with a breeze blowing? That means she can’t travel to many countries to meet with leaders unless she’s kept in air conditioning at all times? Presidents are supposed to have stamina, because it can be a tough job at times.

          • My mother has never actually passed out however when we have outdoor activities I have to really think about making sure there are cool places whether it’s Shady spots or buildings with AC for she constantly gets overheated.

          • MsPythia

They’ve used this dehydration excuse going back many years with her and her falls. I’m not sure I believe it. Or if it does happen, it’s because she’s got something else going on.

          • kreskin

Pneumonia symptoms : Whole body: fever, chills, dehydration, fatigue, loss of appetite, malaise, clammy skin, or sweating
Respiratory: fast breathing, shallow breathing, shortness of breath, or wheezing
Also common: coughing , fast heart rate

It does not ” take a lot to get dehydrated ” .

          • If she’s telling the truth about her condition, and I don’t think she is.

          • Nevin

You are describing the symptoms of dehydration not how one becomes dehydrated. By the photos Hillary was not sweating. Schumer said Hillary looked fine and he was up close to her. Or was Schumer covering for her?

      • I’m just sad at all the time people are spending, gossiping about this corporate-media nonsense*, which is not going to stop Clinton running, when they could be spending that energy on getting Jill Stein elected, or least to 5%, so the Greens can get federal matching funds, for all their races!

        * And yes, regardless of the reality of any given incident, I still see it as media nonsense because no one can make her quit, and it’s clear she’ll keep running, even from her deathbed, which she’s no where near, yet.

        🙁 🙁

        • MsPythia

I’m giving Jill Stein money regularly.

          • I spent two hours phone banking.

          • And I’ll be doing more pamphlet handouts this weekend, probably about a thousand, like last.

          • MsPythia

Awesome. Glad to hear it! 🙂

          • MsPythia

I worked my ass off for Bernie. Worked regular volunteer hours every week, and sometimes many more extra. Also canvassed in my state. I’m done this election. Money is all I’m giving now.

          • Money is all I have time for as well. I have three business trips coming up which will take me well pass the November election.

Plus it’s very hard to canvas when Jill Stein isn’t even on the ballot in Indiana.

          • MsPythia

The money is actually very important — they need it to help them get on more ballots!

        • I’m willing to see if we can make her quit through public pressure alone. There’s no harm in that.

    • Liar-she so fainted. Can that woman ever tell the truth!

      • MsPythia

        I know. She lied again.

      • lindajoyous

        Hi Stephanie!

        • Hey Linda :^) having a goodnight?

          • lindajoyous

Pretty good, thank you! How are you?

          • It’s been a beautiful quiet day just the way I like it :^) I know you haven’t gotten your furniture yet, but I can’t remember did you get your bed?

          • lindajoyous

It was nice weather here too! The bed, couch and loveseat will be delivered on Friday! Thank you

          • Opps… I thought the bed was coming separately.
That will make for a lovely Friday indeed.

          • lindajoyous

Sure will, I bought everything at the same place! Sure love the new stove, the one my dad put in here before he passed away wasn’t very good one!

          • Oh nice! Have you cooked on it yet?

          • lindajoyous

Yes I did, made jiffy cornbread, layed it with chicken in chili sauce with avacodo! The glass top is so easy to clean! forgot to tell sprinkled mexican cheese on top

          • Oh thank you, I was going to make chicken tomorrow and I didn’t know what to do with it and now I do. That sounds like a great dish.

I have a radiant cooktop and they are very nice to clean. Every once in awhile you’ll get a burn mark that’s stubborn, but they should have given you a razor and I use that with Bar Keepers Friend.

          • lindajoyous

I got a little bottle of cleaner with the stove, not sure what a radiant cooktop is. What I layered the cornbread was a new product by Armour. Wasn’t to bad thougth!

          • Radiant cooktop means the same thing as glass top :^) maybe they don’t call them that anymore, it’s been a long while since I bought a stove.
Bar Keepers Friend Is A lot less pricey than the stuff that they give you. It comes in powder or liquid. It’s safe to use either one on your stove top.

Seriously I’m all excited about dinner tomorrow now.

          • lindajoyous

I forgot to say yw. Thank you for the info for cleaner. My brother-in-law (widowed) had this typed of stove. I go out to dinner with him once in a while since my sister passed away!

          • You should invite him over for dinner on your new stove :^)

          • lindajoyous

That’s a good Idea, I’m going to see if he would like to take a trip with me some where. I don’t have a boyfriend and my kids are busy with their new boyfriend and my son new wife to be!

          • Where are you thinking about going?

          • lindajoyous

My son said he’d drive us to Canada or might go north about 60 to the casino!

          • What a fun idea :^) Well Linda I’m headed off to bed, you have a lovely night hon <3

          • lindajoyous

Thanks, goodnight and you have a lovely night too. 🙂

  • MsPythia

Well kids, I’m off to bed. Lovely chatting with you today — see you tomorrow! 🙂 <3

The Candidates’ Views on America’s Top 20 Science, Engineering, Tech, Health & Environmental Issues in 2016

“The candidates for president have responded to America’s Top 20 Science, Engineering, Tech, Health & Environmental Issues in 2016. These key issues affect voters’ lives as much as the foreign policy, economic policy, and faith and values views that candidates traditionally share with journalists on the campaign trail. Several of America’s leading science and engineering organizations are urging the candidates and the press to give them equal priority in the national dialogue. For three cycles, presidential candidates have chosen to share their views here, as the Democratic and Republican candidates did in 2008 and 2012. In 2016, we also invited the Green and Libertarian candidates.”

    Mike Lux on damage control.

Yeah, okay, this hasn’t been the Clinton campaign’s best weekend
ever. The media and the Trump campaign both have reasons to play the
‘basket of deplorables’ quote and the health issue up, so of course we
will hear a lot of overheated talk about how horrible all this is for
Hillary. The simple fact, though, is that neither a quote that needed a
little tweaking (if she had said “some” of Trump supporters rather than
“half,” the quote would not have been news), nor the news about walking
pneumonia is going to change the fundamental dynamics of this race.

Clinton isn’t any better than any of Trump’s fans, including the neo-Nazis. They only dream of white supremacy, she’s put it into practice with her support for border walls and mass deportation, mass incarceration, right wing coups and wars on brown people across the planet.
