        I hadn’t heard alot of their songs before tonight, so most of this is new to me too. I hate to think that people are turned off and not posting their own favorites just because I’m following this particular group tonight. I’m beginning to think there’s no need for a music thread here. I could just listen to my music myself and not bother others with my choices/preferences.

    Definitely some Pink Floyd influence. One of the few modern bands that create songs and albums you can lose yourself in like Floyd was so great at creating.

    I’ll look a bit further into “The Tear Garden”, but for me….it’s the music more than the words that brings me in.

      Tear Garden didn’t do much and their albums are weird as shit. Edward Ka-Spel – the singer – was also in a band called Legendary Pink Dots but I didn’t get into them. Did some collaboration with the guys from Skinny Puppy too but nothing as awesome as Genesis P. Orridge (Throbbing Gristle) and Cevin Key (Skinny Puppy) on the fucked up album “Music For Cats”.
      
      All those are really weird albums but I have a thing for experimental industrial. Not sure why… Download is still one of my favorites. I can listen to their songs Tooly Hoof and Glassblower and never tire. But almost everyone I share them with thinks it’s just random noise. Must be all the seizures I had as a kid. 🙂
      
      Would totally understand if you think Tear Garden is complete garbage. 🙂
