Aha! Well good news. I settled my hash with my dad, and I don’t think anyone will ever be able to find the body, and for future reference, woodchippers are a motherfucker to clean out. My kid brother got his settlement done. It wasn’t as much as he was expecting, but at least now he has a good sum of cash to start a business or something to provide him with additional income, and $2500 a month for the rest of his life.

I kid, my dad is perfectly safe, but we did settle our beef, so all is well as can be once again.

Glad to hear some things are going in a positive direction for you and your kinfolk.

.The Time to Decide the Future is Now

The future will be Putin or the People, Trump or Liberty.

The future will be authoritarian nationalism or pluralistic liberty. The future will be populism manipulated by elites and social division by government command, or the future will be freedom of association, cooperative individualism, and universal human rights.

The world will not go back to the way it was. The future will build on the past to make something new. It is up to all of us to do some part in making sure the future moves forward from the best of what we have. Authoritarian nationalists are acting in their common interests and the free people of the world should do the same.

I’m betting a certain party will fold like a deck of cards.

      • FaunaAndFlora

        I won’t take that bet.

Regarding hydro power, I’ve wondered if it would be better to use the tides instead of the wind to generate power on the coasts.

.New Bill Aims To Stop Warrantless Stingray Spying

A bill introduced in the New York Assembly would ban the use of “stingrays” to track the location of phones and sweep up electronic communications without a warrant in most situations. The proposed law would not only protect privacy in New York, but would also hinder one aspect of the federal surveillance state.

I don’t know about you guys, but if congress does ever get around to impeachment proceedings, I’ll be interested to see what grounds they choose to prosecute. IOW, there should already be proceedings against Trump regarding conflicts of interest, outrage about muslim bans notwithstanding…

    • towerofbabel

I think they will ignore the illegalities and abrogating the Constitution and impeach him for not being Hillary.

      • Dosido3

Yes. You’re not one of us. Never mind the corruption…

.Rex Tillerson and His Friends: The End Game of America

Is Trump unaware that it is the System Behind the System, acting independently, which has created the failed foreign policy adventures of the past two and a half decades? If he is going to drain the swamp, as he promised, why does he want to appoint another member of it to run the show? If you ever wondered what Chicago would have been like if Al Capone was the actual Mayor instead of merely controlling the elected
officials, you may be about to find out.

.In denouncing Trump’s travel ban, Goldman Sachs goes up against a White House filled with Goldman alumni

Blankfein’s defiance of the Trump administration on the immigration order may speak to his independence and values. It might also speak to the true power of his firm. Perhaps the Trump administration needs
Goldman Sachs more than Goldman needs Trump.

.The CIA’s “Deep State”, Donald Trump and His “War on Terrorism”

How does Trump wage a total war against Islamic terrorism when the agency of which he is “the biggest fan”, that he “supports one thousand percent”, is responsible for the creation and ongoing use of Islamic
terrorism, as military-intelligence assets for Anglo-American geopolicy? Does Trump realize that the CIA is funding and arming ISIS, Al-Nusra and Al-Qaeda?
