TGIF everyone. How come I didn’t get Trump’s email for media accountability. hmmph.

    • 17

You didn’t donate enough cash. Did you honestly think anyone knows you’re even alive without it?

  • Dosido3

I wish all Americans could get united against our federal government and vote all the rat bastards out. They are NOT for us but for each other. They squabble like siblings but close ranks against anyone outside the “family”. Just another “reality” show.

    • Hear, hear!

    • Edwin

What if no one voted? And I mean no one.

      • Dosido3

You know…my theory is people came to the polls to vote for everything except president…

        • Edwin

          True.

Imagine no one votes. The TV stations have to sit there, showing footage, and tell us about not a single soul showed up to vote. No one calls the election. The next day everyone wakes up to….. (what?)

          • thud

Martial law? Marshal Dylon(Gunsmoke)? Theocratic authoritarianism?

  • Dosido3

thanks for the Paste article on Sarandon. Those points cannot be repeated enough. Clinton cost Clinton the election. PERIOD!

Did you check out Katie Halper’s tweets? What a treat!

.Trump Sticks to Pro-Business Message in Boeing Appearance

As Trump took the stage with a wave to the crowd and a smile, a number of the reporters on hand readied themselves who what they imagined would be a repeated of the White House press conference that had occurred 24 hours earlier, when the president bounded from topic to topic and frequently crossed swords with members of the press.

It’s really unfair to make a judgement based on appearances but in this case I will make an exception.http://www.gannett-cdn.com/-mm-/e6b4d52df9adb018defabb5e6519bc6c08c69e64/c=0-182-512-471&r=x633&c=1200×630/local/-/media/2015/08/03/USATODAY/USATODAY/635742000921075163-Ken-Paxton-080315.jpg I believe this to be his first mug shot.

        • Edwin

Oh, gawd. That’s one of the first things I do. I google image search and look at a page of their mugshots. It’s amazing what one can learn from that. (Almost everything.) Then I rush to make a summary judgement, good, bad or indifferent.

(Call me trashy, or shallow, but that’s what I do… and it is very accurate.) ^_^

I am Extra Sensory Perceptive. ^_^

.Trump Nullifies Rule Protecting Streams From Coal Waste

President Donald Trump on Wednesday put his signature to a joint resolution that nullifies an Obama-era Interior Department rule protecting streams from coal mining waste.

Seated in the Roosevelt room of the White House and flanked by lawmakers from coal-mining states and miners, in hard hats, from West Virginia, Trump said the resolution before him would “eliminate another
terrible job-killing rule saving many thousands of American jobs especially in the mines, which I’ve been promising you.

.VIDEO: Psycho Cop Tries to Fight Teen, Threatens to ‘Rip the F**k’ Out of Him with K9 — for Filming

Atlantic City, NJ — An Atlantic City police officer has been placed on administrative leave after he
was caught on camera in a profanity-laced tirade directed toward several young black teenagers. The youth, who know their rights, and know it is not a crime to film police, may have been in fear for their lives,
before, during, and after the incident. In fact, at one point during the confrontation, the officer threatened to release his K9 attack dog on the young men — for filming.

.Horrifying Video Shows Cops Torture Man With Mace Who’s Strapped to a Chair

When pepper spray was invented, it was, in the words of one of its creators, to be “used to avoid confrontation or injury.” But in the hands of so-called law enforcement, it is increasingly being used as a device of torture, especially when the subject getting pepper sprayed is already in four-point restraints to a
    chair.

As to the “Liberal Hatred for Susan Sarandon” article

“Hayes is coming from a place of good intentions, and he’s not cynical in the same way that many of his cable news colleagues can be”

I pegged Chris Hayes as a tool the first time I saw that smug asshole sitting behind a desk at MSDNC. I learned years ago there are people in the world who will mouth stuff they think his their audience already believe to be able to sell another meme. I saw him invent too many facts to sell a dishonest point, such as citing non-existent laws such as it was illegal in Illinois for a citizen to video record a police officer making an arrest, it is not, changing Cliven Bundy’s age to make a point about his generation, and I could go on. In my book he is not coming from good intentions, he is propagandizing for money. If he had good intentions he would have been fired from MSDNC a while ago.

btw, as a whole I agree with the rest of the article.

      • kreskin

A tool , no skin in the game .

    • Edwin

      Yup.

I never got sucked into MSNBC. Hopefully people have woked up and turned it off.

    • Dosido3

That line stood out to me as well. You don’t become a major player on corporate media by being naive, but acting that way? Yes. Sell that earnesty.

    • Edwin

Pretty sad. You’d think someone coulda found that in pocket change and saved the person from being foreclosed on.

      • thud

        C.mon Ed! It’s the principle.

        • Edwin

Yeah. I suppose. Gotta teach ’em a lesson so they don’t do it again!!

          • thud

If’n one were to dig into the dirty details of that vile operation one finds that in addition to forging hundreds of thousands of notary public signatures they also had no clear deeds or titles to the properties and in many cases such a train of proof of ownership was utterly lost.

          • Edwin

And the Obama administration was fine with it.

Hillary told them to “cut it out”.

I guess all’s well that ends well.

          • thud

There was some financial consequences on some of the worst offenders such as BOA but it took years and actually only hurt the shareholders ,Rules were made to force legal procedures to be followed and help upsidedown homeowners keep the property but the banks ran what they called dual track where on one hand the process for refinancing was followed while on the other track foreclosure proceeded. People were told their files had disappeared over and over. The torture went on for years and yet continues.

    • Dosido3

It sticks to Kamala Harris for not prosecuting this crook.

  • notisaidthepig

The Sarandon article was so good. Neoliberals are doing their best to make sure that Trump becomes a two-term president. Ugh.

    • kreskin

Such a friggin mess , to the point that I don’t even care anymore. There’s no recovery in this country’s future , the rot is too advanced .

      • Edwin

        Hi, Unka.

        How’s things? Hope you’re doing fine. ^_^

        • Hola Edwin. Doing well, no drama or stress. Though I did almost die on the freeway the other day, from a dump-truck tire flying through the air at 96Kph. Thing flew right over my car and missed it by like 5 feet.

          • Edwin

Wow. It’s lucky you didn’t get hit by that.

Maybe you should buy a lottery ticket this weekend.

          • kreskin

I almost got ran over by a Stalin era Trolley bus yesterday , a young girl pulled me out of the way , we were waiting for a taxi bus ( tall white vans that can seat 14 -16 people ) the bus stop was right next to the trolley tracks . My hearing is really bad , gotta be more careful . Alaska airlines fucks up , loses my suitcase , passes the buck and says it’s Aerflot’s responsibility , never mind the fact that the suitcase never left Alaska Airlines Seattle , those mother fuckers have no intention of looking for it . My BP has been through the roof trying to deal with these idiots , pretty much a lost cause now . NEVER again.

      Anyone surprised ?

  • Here’s some Saturday Night Anime. FLCL aka “Fooly Cooly.”

While it’s theoretically about how “A boy’s humdrum life is turned upside-down with the arrival of an alien investigator.” It’s much more than that. It’s a tour-de-force of anime and manga styles, with tones of in-jokes for both Japanese and Global audiences. It’s a six episode series. Here’s the first…
