Deadly US raid on Yemen produced no major intelligence

It looks like Trump is about to learn that ordering commando raids overseas is not necessarily an easy or fun way to make his bones as a war time leader. Now his team in on the firing line, accused of putting out “fake news” on a large trove of Intel being taken. Press secretary Spicer went further, claiming that American lives would be saved because of it, an odd, subjective thing to say at this point.

It is generally a safe play to make such claims when you know that what was found can never be made public, but government officials who claim to be in the know are stating that none was really found.

  I’ve read Listen Liberal. I think it stays too much in the boundaries of the Village Narrative of the ruling class, but otherwise a solid read.

    Agreed. I had a similar feel for his earlier book, What’s the Matter with Kansas – it didn’t go far enough.
    
    However, I think he does a fairly good job at laying much of the Dems current woes at the feet of the Clintons, even if he doesn’t come straight out and say it.

      I haven’t read either book but I’ve got this funny feeling that if it had not been the Clintons it would have been somebody else. And perhaps they felt the same way. “If we don’t do this somebody else will so what the fuck!?!” That’s not said to let them off the hook,of course but some other swine( no offense Noti) would have taken the job.

        If we can take back one of the parties or form a new one maybe, imho. These ones we got now ain’t for shit. I don’t really care for Jill Stein but that’s irrelevant in that she was not going to ascend in any case. I voted green just on the off chance that a new force may arise. Cuz if we don’t do it with votes then it’ll be guns and I’m not that despairing yet. Some who post here are and perhaps they are right.
