3fd0429The depressing thing that humans and pigs have in common: Both let their moods and feelings to influence their decisions and judgment.

The dismal dollar Democrats and their middle class “progressive” enablers are being exposed as pathetic Hollow Men and Women, enablers of the white nationalist right.

Sanders And Warren Chosen For Democratic Party Leadership Positions. The question is, “So What?”  They’ve already shown their willingness to not just cave to, but actually cheer on, right-wing interests.

The US is facing four ICC probes in four different nations that are ICC members, all related to CIA torture. Sadly, Nothing will come of it, I’m sure.

Dear Hillary Pundits, Own Your Terrible Candidate. And while you’re at it, own up to the fact that you’re conservatives, not liberals.

Syrian child disappointed she won’t get to be drone-striked by the first female president.

Of course, it’s not surprising to anyone who can admit that the Democrats are a right-wing, authoritarian party: Senate Democrats’ Surprising Strategy: Trying to Align With Trump.

Once again, listening to “experts,” who have no experimental evidence to back up their claims, proves to be a bad move, when the actual data is used as a basis: Children who drank whole milk tended to be leaner than those who drank low fat or skim milk.

Philando Castile’s murderer charged with 2nd Degree Manslaughter. I guess that’s better than letting the bastard off scott-free, the usual result.  Of course, it could just be because the cop isn’t “white.”

As the legal case against her crawls slowly along, Park Geun-hye is refusing to resign and throwing up a screen of delaying tactics at her investigators.

Your Weekend of Weekends.

UnkaWillbur - May 26, 2017

Here' some links to nosh on, to start of your weekend. I hope everyone's weekend is great; me, myself, I'm planning on jumping out of a perfectly…

  • Your Song of the Day is from Fishbone, who I’m seeing this weekend!

    https://youtu.be/MJCaFe1yamg

    • SmotPoker

Good for you. Never heard of them, but if that’s your thing then fucking awesome. I remember how jacked I used to get to attend concerts by my favorite bands. Have a great time.

      • WOW, really? They’ve been around since ’79. Considered one of the best bands to come out of the ska genre, though you’d hardly call them “pure” ska more like a fusion of ska, punk rock, funk, hard rock and soul.

    • Shohanna

That sounds awesome, I never heard of them either. I know that euphoric feeling though! I got to see Meatloaf, Def Leppard (before they went to shit) and Matchbox 20! I was stoked to go to all of them. 😀 Good luck!

      • SmotPoker

I took my daughter to go see MB20 three times. We had a blast, and I always made sure we had great seats.

That was back when I could hear. I had my set of Pearl drums (Pearl, when you want the very fucking best!) that I would set up in front of my top notch sound system, and play along to their “Yourself Or Someone Like You” CD all the fucking time.

My family, and au pair (mistress) were amazed that I was such a good drummer, and never missed a beat. I was like “kids, what you don’t know about me could fill the Grand Canyon, and still need more room….”. I had been trained since 5th grade on percussion. I can read the music, played in the Navy band during my time in boot camp, and I’ve jammed with the Guess Who. Yeah, I can keep a beat kids….

I’d play their request as well, as long as it was Rock and Roll, Smotty don’t do fucking country horseshit unless it’s Johnny Cash….

Perhaps if you make it up here one day, I’ll drag out my nephews drum kit, and play some songs for you….

        • Shohanna

Aww, I would love to hear you play. You could feel the percussion, you may not be able to hear it. I turn it up so I can hear that base! And you played my fav cd. /sigh **dreamy**

I’m no political scientist, but with all the finger pointing going on, the Democrats and their acolytes have seemed to consistently and conspicuously overlook the most obvious suspects for their deterioration, that began long before they rallied behind the least liked major party presidential candidate in recent history.

The decimation of the Democratic Party, visualized

    https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/the-fix/wp/2016/11/10/the-decimation-of-the-democratic-party-visualized/

    • It’s been my experience that politicians are very rarely interested in what political-science can teach us.

      • Dosido3

Talk about pigs. They know where the money is. That is all. Not rocket science.

  • towerofbabel

The pigs have moods story seems to be crashing through a wide open door.
But, I also think there should be a reflexive sociological analysis of the researchers.
They may be projecting a narrative onto the pigs just because.

    • Dosido3

This is just plain old conditioning.

  • SmotPoker

    Goddammit!

Still reeling from the election, and now I find out that Princess Leia was fucking Han Solo….

    Goddammit it all to hell!

    • Shohanna

It only made perfect sense. They had chemistry. That’s what drove the movie. 😀 Bet it was a request from Lucas.. HAHAH That would be even bigger scandal.

      • SmotPoker

        But, but you don’t understand……

        She was MY FUCKING PRINCESS!

Particularly Slave Outfit Princess Leia, mreoooow!

        • Shohanna

          Hehe Cute. 😀

        • EdgarHF

I was absolutely pissed when I saw the new Star Wars movie. It enough I have to look at the old fuck in the mirror at home. I had to see that movie and see stars of my youth looking like a recast of Ron Howard’s Cocoon.

  • SmotPoker

    People.

The link should take you to the Miami News Times online where I found it.

        • Shohanna

I got it on YouTube that was horrible! O.O That dude should have his picture taken and posted in the restaurant and banned from ever coming in the door.

      • panem et circenses
    • Shohanna

Nope, no video there either. Did it go viral? I might be able to find it on YouTube. lol

  • SmotPoker

If Shohanna comes to me, I will play along on the drums to this song for her. It makes me think of her.

    • Shohanna

OMFG That is one of my favorite songs!! *HUGS* Still trying! I have to do some medical stuff. 😀

    • Shohanna

That was so sweet! Thank you Smot! You brought some happiness today! **weeps**

    • 17

So that’s how it’s done? Hmm.

    • Dosido3

What a nice thought, Smot! Awwww…

Baltimore Teacher Loses Cool Tells Students You’ll End Up Being Shot N*ggers

Stupid woman, there are much easier, and classier ways of quitting your job. Did you consider just taking a huge shit on the principals desk?

She also needs to keep her fucking hands off the kids. If that had been me as a teenager she would have ended up against the blackboard with my hands around her throat.

Yeah, I wasn’t the easy going, smooth criminal I am today that you all know, and love, I was a bit of a hothead…..

Sacramento Cop Arrested After Found with Hard Drugs and Duty Weapon

Isaac Knutila a 16 year veteran with the Sacramento Police was arrested after a separate department tipped off the Sacramento PD to alleged prostitution and drug activity in a local hotel.

An investigation revealed that Knutila was in possession of multiple narcotics and his department issued weapon. The drugs collected at the scene included methamphetamine, cocaine, heroin and over an ounce of marijuana.

Is there another profession where you can break the law for months and expect the tax payers to foot the bill for your salary while you are investigated? Seriously, think about that fact for a minute. A costumed
crusader for the state is allowed paid vacation while being investigated, while the rest of us rot in cages.

The High Cost of Vengeance Culture & Its Alternatives

Authoritarians and activists both operate on a fatal premise, which is that vengeance is justice.

Vengeance culture permeates every aspect of American life these days. The solution to every problem comes down to making someone pay! From the wretched legal institutions that are focused entirely on punishment rather than reform, to those who protest those institutions and everyone in between, the
destructive ideology of vengeance has become the primary demand.

Feds Push for Three Trials in Nevada Rancher Standoff

Federal prosecutors want Nevada rancher Cliven Bundy and 16 co-defendants to be tried in separate groups based upon their roles in an April 2014 armed standoff with federal authorities.

Bogden estimates a single trial of all 17 defendants would take between four and six months to complete, creating scheduling difficulties and conflicts among the 17 defendants and their attorneys. He also says
holding 17 separate trials, likewise, would create significant delays and take up to 17 months to complete.

There’s that number again. Over and over and over.

Normally I’m not big into banking stuff, but this is quite interesting. Also covers Asian tiger economies and the IMF crisis of the late 90s. I was living in Korea then and remember it well, but I did not understand it. I was still grappling with being an expat in a foreign and very different land. It also deals with the EU banking system. (Basically it’s all rigged by the uber-wealthy and the USA, and has been since WWII.)

Dreaming Up a Reason for NATO’s Relevance

Dems and New Dem Chair Must Break Reliance on George Soros
Campaign finance reform will never succeed as long as billionaires capture political parties in a web of donations
      By Michael Sainato • 11/16/16 10:30am

Soros has also poured money into the Center for American Progress, founded by Clinton campaign chair John Podesta, and the David Brock-run Media Matters, in addition to running the politically influential Open Society Foundations. According to SFGate, several staffers from Bernie Sanders’ new organization, Our Revolution, reportedly quit over Sanders’ presidential campaign director Jeff Weaver’s plans to solicit donations from Soros and billionaire Tom Steyer.

The emails released by WikiLeaks from Clinton campaign chair John Podesta provided some insight into the access these donations provided Soros. The Clinton campaign spent a great deal of time keeping its wealthy donors happy, while the concerns of average voters weren’t even on the radar.

Politico reported Soros recently held a closed door strategy meeting with Sen. Elizabeth Warren, Rep. Nancy Pelosi, and Rep. Keith Ellison—currently the Democratic National Committee chair nominee—and Clinton Super PAC hit man David Brock and Clinton loyalist Neera Tanden. Ellison is one of 12 Democratic members of Congress to receive funding from Bend the Arc PAC, chaired by Soros’ son, Alex.

While formally announcing he was running for chair of the DNC, Ellison cited Alex Soros as one of his supporters, putting into perspective why Sens. Harry Reid and Charles Schumer also endorsed Ellison for the position. Endorsements from top Democrats, including Sanders, makes it likely that Ellison will be the next DNC chair.
      http://observer.com/2016/11/dems-and-new-dem-chair-must-break-reliance-on-george-soros/

Expect the David Brock-CTR trolling to continue and become amplified as the next round of elections nears.
      They’re not going away.

      • kreskin

To hell with the Democratic party , cut out the rot and there’d be nothing left of it .

        • doubleplusliberal

When they rediscover their populist roots and stick up for the working class, I might vote for them.
          Until that day happens…I’m done.

          • Edwin

Never gonna happen. Time to look elsewhere.

          • towerofbabel

            Too far gone.

The Real Winner of the 2016 Elections Is …. The Weapons Industry. Military Contractor Stocks Soar…

Although political and media analysts will be parsing the election results for months to come one winner is blatantly obvious, and it is not Donald Trump. Rather, it is something all tax-paying Americans support, even if they don’t think about it: the military-industrial congressional-complex (MICC).

To confirm that one need look no further than the stock market on November 9. As Defense One reported, military contractor stocks soared:

    Lockheed Martin: Up 4.8 percent
    Northrop Grumman: Up 5.1 percent
    Raytheon: Up 6.2 percent
    General Dynamics: Up 4.1 percent
    L-3 Communications: Up 5.4 percent
    Textron: Up 2.2 percent
    Boeing: Up .76 percent
    Huntington Ingalls: Up 6.5 percent

As the title of an op-ed in Forbes put it, “For The Defense Industry, Trump’s Win Means Happy Days Are Here Again.”

Mysterious NYC skyscraper owned by AT&T nerve center of NSA mass surveillance programs

Built to endure a nuclear attack, a New York City skyscraper known as the AT&T Long Lines Building is actually among the most essential assets of the NSA, which runs mass surveillance programs inside the
windowless tower, according to the Intercept.

    https://www.rt.com/usa/367252-nsa-skyscraper-nyc-spying/

    • Edwin

Spooky, creepy shit. If we have a nuclear war I hope the human race becomes extinct, like it will deserve to.

      • 17

What good do you suppose it does to make a building “Nuclear Blast Proof” when the surrounding country doesn’t exist?

          • 17

Well it better figure out how to power itself with no outside help or there’s gonna be a problem. And BTW…who’s it gonna spy on then…itself?

          • Edwin

They’ll lay in wait until the microbes which survive evolve into upright land-based lifeforms. And then exercise their powers of control over them. Bwahahahaha.

        • kreskin

Or nukes that don’t destroy buildings but kills all humans and most living things .

          • SmotPoker

            Neutron bomb.

      • SmotPoker

        Save the planet, kill humanity…..

    • SmotPoker

The worst part of it is that these things aren’t just sitting there being run by robots. There are humans beings, our neighbors, members of society that go to work there each day so they can fuck over, and spy on everyone. They call themselves “patriots”, we call them spying, lying, cocksuckers.

There is a reason nations give the death penalty to spies, they can bring down a whole society, ask any of the third world banana republics the CIA has overthrown through manipulations over the decades. Ask Iran how they enjoyed the turmoil we created in their nation in 1953…..

Spies are scum that need to be eradicated at every turn, no matter their intentions.

Of course they spoke to me through a Facebook meme, not their own words. Basically it said if you voted for trump or third party you’re responsible for all the ills in the world. Fuck, these hillybillies are in denial. In the end it said to “fuck off and unfriend me”. Mission accomplished.

A population of killer whales that live off the coast of Vancouver, Canada is under threat by a planned oil pipeline that could lead to a disruption of their habitat by increased tanker traffic. Texas-based Kinder Morgan is planning to build the $5 billion US Trans Mountain Expansion pipeline project that would transport bitumen from the Alberta Tar Sands directly to the edge of the whales’ habitat in the Pacific Ocean off the coast of southern British Columbia. The Canadian government has already been advised to approve the project, and its fate now lies with the government of Prime Minister Justin Trudeau.
