Here’ some links to nosh on, to start of your weekend. I hope everyone’s weekend is great; me, myself, I’m planning on jumping out of a perfectly good airplane! A small note regarding the site: yes, my template modifications are going slowly; I hope to have them done by next week.
First up, our Plutocratic overlords are getting the vapors over their own security theater, as Bloomberg laments that our “leaky” “intelligence” services are “losing respect.” All balderdash, of course, but illustrative of the little narrative our political masters like to run on us.
Over at Shadowproof, Jon Walker expresses undue surprise that Kevin “Numbers Confuse Me” Drum would gin up some fake numbers to justify the DNC’s outright rejection of progressivism. Of course, this isn’t an isolated editorial, as the media would have us believe, but an orchestrated campaign against single-payer.
Over at FAIR, Dean Baker points out that the (right-wing) deficit-scare tactics, used by Democrats and Republicans alike are what people should fear, and not deficits themselves.
Nina Turner tries to spin yet another loss for Progressives, in trying to change the DNC power structure, as “proof” that it can be done. Pro-Tip, Nina: It won’t happen, Go Green.
Finally, Lying Joe backs out, after too many plutocratic servants complain.
What’s been your favorite story this week, how’s it been spun?
