Candidate Corner

Sep 16, 2016
1145 Views 1216

boxing-cornerThis is the Candidate Corner: The place to discuss anything and everything about the presidential candidates. Clinton’s health, Trump’s hair, Johnson’s microcephaly, Stein’s awesomeness; if it’s about a specific issue with a candidate, this is the place for it.

We’re making this thread as Hillary Clinton’s health has become such a hot topic, generating so many comments and replies, that it’s begun to obscure other discussion and links in our daily open thread. Since we’re not interested in dictating what people can talk about, and after discussion with a some of our commenters who are interested in the topic, this thread, for candidate-specific issues,  is the result.

This thread will stay up every day, between now and election day, and will be “refreshed” when the comment count reaches 2000, to ensure that Disqus doesn’t choke.

Enjoy!

Your Weekend of Weekends.

UnkaWillbur - May 26, 2017

Here' some links to nosh on, to start of your weekend. I hope everyone's weekend is great; me, myself, I'm planning on jumping out of a perfectly…

  • Here’s one to start you all out: Frighteningly, I kinda with Trump, on this!

Trump on Clinton’s health: ‘I really have no view’

“I really have no view. I just hope she gets better and can get back out,” the Republican nominee told Fox’s Sean Hannity on Tuesday. “I just — I have no view. You know, I just don’t want to get involved with it.”

    • Nevin

I bet he is biting at the nails to say she doesn’t have the stamina and gets sick easily.

      • IMO, he’s probably biting his nails hoping she doesn’t drop out and leave him to have to actually be president!

        😀

        • Dosido3

Or…he doesn’t want to have to run against a stronger/different candidate. But I’m guessing you are closest to the truth.

          • SpiffyTheValiant

I really think that Bill called Trump and the conversations went like this.

            Conversation One

Bill: Donald, it’s me. Bill. My wife is going to run for president.

            Trump: But everyone hates her.

Bill: Yeah. Which is why we need you to run. Be as crazy as fucking possible. Then she’ll win.

Trump: Why would I do that?

Bill: Think of all the free publicity, it’ll be great for business.

            Trump: Okay! I’ll do it.

            ============================================================================

            Few months later.

*Bill calls again.* Donald, it’s me. Bill.

Donald: It’s not my fault the idiots are buying it. I thought only 30-40% of the voting electorate was nuts. People just really hate your wife.

Bill: You better not actually win.

Donald: Alright. Alright I”ll insult the parents of a dead soldier. That should do it…

          • I don’t think that’s at all impossible.

          • SpiffyTheValiant

            yup

          • Edwin
        • MsPythia

That’s what I think too — I think he ran to get her elected. You don’t say the shit he has said if you seriously wanted to be president. He gave a big populist show for the morons, and they lapped it up, but he knew damn well that all the “serious” Republicans would go to Hillary as a result. To me this looks like elaborate political theater, all staged to simply hand the presidency to Shillz.

          • I have no proof of it, Ms. P, but I feel it in my gut.

    • The_Fixer

      Oh, I have a view.

Yeah, she’s sick. It might very well be just pneumonia – people react differently to diseases. That fainting spell may just have been due to that and that only. Yeah, there may be something worse going on, but I don’t feel comfortable going beyond her official explanation because I am not a doctor, let alone one who has examined her.

But I do know something about credibility, and because she’s shuffled the truth so much on this, she has none with me. So when she says that she’s dehydrated from pneumonia and that’s all there is to it, why should I believe her? She’s a prolific liar and for that reason, I will not vote for her. I don’t care if she is as healthy as a horse or on death’s dorrstep – she ain’t gonna get my vote.

      • SpiffyTheValiant

Well at the very least we know she has Liar-itis. 🙂

        • The_Fixer

          Hi, Queen Spiffy 🙂

          • SpiffyTheValiant

            <3 fixer

      • Edwin

She’s a physical and mental wreck. End of story. 😀

    • Edwin

No one wants to be concerned with her health, but it’s front and centre and in our faces now. It would be irresponsible not to conjecture and speculate.

  • Dosido3

Any discussion yet on Donna Brazile telling us we will turn into a pillar of salt if we read the new DNC leaks?

    • SpiffyTheValiant

No. But I like the pillar of salt expression XD

      • Dosido3
        • SpiffyTheValiant

Wait I thought you were joking. Did she actually say pillar of salt?

          • Dosido3

Lol, no. She said malware – today’s pillar of salt.

          • SpiffyTheValiant

            ah i see.

          • Dosido3

Interim DNC Chair Donna Brazile warned in a statement against downloading the data because it could contain “malware,” and said there’s “one person who stands to benefit from these criminal acts, and that’s Donald Trump.”

            Criminals! trump! Russians! Oh my!

          • SpiffyTheValiant

            :))

          • MsPythia

I read that she said Russian spyware elsewhere. They are shameless.

          • SpiffyTheValiant

I hope Russia is laughing at this and doesn’t start a new Cold War over it.

          • MsPythia

They’ve already indicated that the shit Hillary and the DNC is pulling is making them nervous. Fucking assholes don’t care, as long as it provides cover for Her Royal Heinous.

          • Edwin

They probably think America is regressing into its second childhood and I wouldn’t blame them. Jeepers-Creepers, it’s so hurtin’. Aren’t people embarrassed?? (They should be. My gawd.)

    • MsPythia

She’s warning people that if they look at the leaks they could be infiltrated by Russian spyware. No, seriously.

      • Dosido3

yeah, I know. what a joke. taking tech advice from a politician…

  • SpiffyTheValiant

So I heard the DNC (or some official group of Democrats) had a meeting to discuss what would happen if she drops out. Apparently, their backup plan is Joe Biden.

    • Nancy

well, I think he’d have a better chance at beating Trump-is that a good thing? Joe is just going to be more of the same…

      • SpiffyTheValiant

Well I’m really not sure what his actual policy positions are.

I know that he forced Obama’s hand on gay marriage.

He’s at least a likable human being and we’d get some entertainment on it.

I’d obviously rather have Bernie. But I could live with Joe, easier than Hillary.

        • Dosido3

Vote for Joe for the status quo.

          • SpiffyTheValiant

IDK how many people agree with me. I’m just saying in my order of preference Bernie > Joe > Trump (he’s awful but, I hate Hillary more) > cockroach > Hillary.

          • Dosido3

Same. Biden is very charming. He’d be the spoonful of sugar to help make the bullshit go down.

          • SpiffyTheValiant

yep and hillary is a spoonful of vomit.

          • Dosido3

            Yuck! And yes…but yuck!

          • SpiffyTheValiant

            I went for accuracy.

          • MsPythia

Oh, she’s more than a mere spoonful! Bucket more like! 😀

          • SpiffyTheValiant

            lol

          • Edwin

Ha ha. You really don’t care much for her. 😀

          • Nancy

            well put.

          • Quite possibly, but a lot of people I know, even non-political ones, say he reminds them of a user car salesman! Ouch!

          • Dosido3

Sure. I see that. But what a relief a used car salesman would be after Queen Hillary…

          • MsPythia

            Yes. A smiling Glad Hander.

          • Dosido3

But he’s from scruffy Scranton! A man of the people!

          • MsPythia

Yeah, yeah — took the Amtrack to D.C. Then did nothing but brag about how he took the train.

          • Dosido3

            Yep

          • He’s also “The Senator From MBNA” (that’s the biggest credit card bank, if you didn’t recognize the initials) and he’s the guy who fucked us all over on bankruptcies, to help his other banking buddies. These are things Trump would blast him with.

          • Dosido3

            Roger that.

          • doubleplusliberal

Joe reminds me of a used diaper salesman that likes to sniff his own product.

          • Edwin

And he looks weird these days, different from at the beginning. Either he’s had surgery, been replaced by a robot or he is an alien or something.

        • Nancy

still working for the 1% is how I see him being picked. they know what they need and want.
I agree he’s much more human and therefore likeable.

          • SpiffyTheValiant

            yup yup

          • Edwin

Much more human. Same agenda. No difference.

    • Nevin

Dems are good at shooting themselves in the foot. Bernie got almost 50% of the vote and if Hillary were to drop out they would be stupid not to pick him. You want a Trump presidency, pick someone no one voted for.

      • SpiffyTheValiant

        yup

      • MsPythia

Bernie got more than that — they rigged the fucking primary! They didn’t even count over 3 million provisional ballots in California. So many people were purged or had their registrations changed in this state it’s an outrage.

    • MsPythia

A lot of those people who supported Bernie who were reluctenly convinced to support Hillary will not have this shit. The Democrats are assholes of the highest order — thank goodness I Demexited, these people make me sick.

      • SpiffyTheValiant

        indeed.

    • I believe it would cause all-out Rebellion from the Bernie supporters who have gone over to Hillary in the lesser of two evils argument. Would be my guess anyway.

      Afternoon Spiffy:^)

      • SpiffyTheValiant

        afternoon 🙂

  • Nancy

well, this is nice to see…I have zero interest in anything “tech” si-fi and some of the other topics on this blog, but scroll through them as I know we all have a wide variety of interests and mine aren’t necessarily everyone’s either. this dedicated page might sole the issue for those tired of hearing about Hillary’s health.
I find it interesting that a couple of weeks ago there were posts about beating a guy to death and how sometimes that’s just what you have to do, it was ok to post that but wishing Hillary ill was somehow worse?
    oh well…
hopefully this will make people comfortable.

    • I think it’s more about the volume of posts Hillary’s health has generated, than anything else.

      • Nancy

sure-it’s a progressive blog that is in an election and probably the most hated candidate, by progressives, is the topic that is front and centre.
I have to wade through many posts that have no interest to me…I simply understand that there is going to be people that want to post about other things.
the hypocrisy of someone saying it’s ok to beat a guy to death while we are awful for wishing Hillary ill, is very interesting to see. good that this is so easily fixed now.

        • I didn’t see the “beat a guy to death” thing. Nor did I say anyone was “awful” for wishing Hillary ill. Someone may have, but take that up with them. My only issue was that the conversations about Hillary’s health were starting to account for 60%+ of the posts in a thread. So, After talking with some folks (Spiffy, Annaleigh, Edwin) and getting their take on the idea of a campaign specific thread, I went ahead and made one.

The goal of this thread was to prevent ill feelings, not create them. I sorry you’ve taken what was intended to be a conciliatory and supportive act as some sort of insult.

          • Nancy

            not saying you did Unka.
            it was all there.

          • Dosido3

Glad I didn’t see that sentiment either. About the beating or whatever. FWIW, I think this blog is developing pretty well given the election climate.

I’m waiting to hear from Michael Beschloss or someone on past ugly campaigns of yore that compare, but he might have to go back to Caligula or something to find a similar climate. Edwin called it a coup and the lightbulb snapped on for me. It’s beyond corruption now.

          • Thank you, the kind assessment, Dosido.

          • Dosido3

            Who loves ya, baby?! 😉

          • Nancy

there is no insult felt-you are reading into my post.
            please don’t.

          • Edwin

I’m good with whatever keeps the peace.

And whoever sends in emails of complaint, just stop it. Use your scroll wheel.

    • You don’t like sci-fi?!? Please say it isn’t so 😛 Afternoon Nancy.

  • Whoopsies!

Donald Trump’s Website Accidentally Leaked Personal Data of Aspiring Interns

The resumes were stored in an insecure Amazon cloud server that was accessible for anyone who knew where to look. Chris Vickery, a researcher from security firm MacKeeper, who has specialized in finding insecure and exposed databases online, found the data last week, before alerting Trump’s campaign. The leak has now been fixed, but the resumes were left exposed for weeks, if not longer.

    • Nevin

Were any of them labeled classified?

      • I do believe there’s some federal privacy laws that apply to job applications, but I don’t know what or if there’s any real penalties. But it certainly doesn’t surprise me that Trump would hire the kind of chucklefuck IT people that can’t even configure Amazon’s AWS/S3.

        • Dosido3

did you see in yesterday’s DNC leak where they were going to change passwords frequently and update people with the new passwords through email? XD

          • MsPythia

            Lol!

  • MsPythia
  • Nevin
  • SpiffyTheValiant

When Hillary’s loyal lapdog, Nate Silver, says it’s highly competitive, you know it’s bad.

    http://www.mediaite.com/online/nate-silver-calls-the-election-highly-competitive-with-this-new-data-from-fivethirtyeight/

    • MsPythia

Seriously — he’s been in the tank for Hillary from the beginning.

      • SpiffyTheValiant

He used to be spot on, till it was Bernie vs Hillary.

        • His methodologies just couldn’t account for an insurgency campaign like Sanders’ (or even, to a degree, Trump’s) and instead of admitting that, he bullshitted his way through the primaries, constantly being wrong and refusing to cop a “mea culpa.”

          • SpiffyTheValiant

            yup

  • Dosido3
    • SpiffyTheValiant

      well done.

  • MsPythia

The latest leaks from Guccifer 2.0 show that people in Washington have been talking about Hillary’s health for a while now. The way that Powell and Leeds casually discuss her health back in 2015 means that other people in D.C. have been aware that she’s not well, in my view.

As for these leaks the fact that they’re trying to blame them on the Russians is idiotic. They want to act as if Hillary isn’t horrible enough to have caused people to hate her fucking guts. Her policies as Sec. of State destroyed Syria and Libya, and as for Assange she’s been out to get him from the beginning. Her state department also oversaw the torture and incarceration for 35 years of Chelsea Manning, and the banishment of Edward Snowden. They tried to use the Russia Red-Baiting thing against Snowden too, when the fact is, it was OUR state department under Hillary Clinton that CHOSE to yank Snowden’s passport when he was in Russia, and when he had already boarded a plane bound for South America.

    • Nevin

I’m trying to think of the scenario of our representatives backing someone they knew was ill. I’m not into conspiracy theories, but someone is going to benefit from either Kaine ending up as president, Trump becomes president or Hillary is a one term president.

      • MsPythia

The 1% will benefit no matter what with all three, but Hillary will likely give them the biggest bang for their bucks since she’s been plotting with them for so long.

        • Nevin

I can’t imagine someone putting their political career on the line to back someone they knew was very ill.

          • MsPythia

It will pay off if she okays the TPP and the Pipelines, and starts more wars that become quagmires.

          • Nevin

Can you imagine the outrage if people found out they knowing backed someone they knew was very ill. You talk about a revolution. That would turn our election process upside down.

          • MsPythia

That’s why the media is attempting to cover for her in whatever way they can. It seems clear that it was decided a long time ago by the 1% that Hillary was going to be the only one who would be treated like a “serious’ candidate. Yesterday with them saying “Power Through” umpteen times, and CBS erasing that 3 seconds of video of Bill slipping up about her “frequent” dizzy spells seem like perfect examples.

          • Nevin

The 3 seconds were only missing on the CBS News broadcast. It was in the CBS morning show and other outlets that got a copy.

          • MsPythia

I’m glad that people caught it and put it up on twitter and youtube since they tried to clean it up for Hill and Bill.

          • Nevin
          • MsPythia

That sounds like bullshit doesn’t it? And is it really too much trouble for her to remember to drink water? Or you know, have a member of that giant entourage she’s always with to carry a water bottle with them, and tell Madame Wobbles it’s time she had her required sips?

          • That was my thought when I heard Bill Clinton statement.
Like why is she getting so dehydrated all the time, she literally has people who take care of her all the time.

Madame wobbles time for your sips… cracked me up ;^)

          • MsPythia

It’s all very disturbing. If she is this neglectful of her health and intake requirements when she knows this has happened before, and when she knows the press is watching her every move, what does that say about her mentally? And what does that say about how she should be trusted to look after the interests of the people of this nation, here in America, and around the world?

          • Nevin

            She doesn’t forget to eat.

          • MsPythia

She’s gained a lot of weight. Yet, she does have that thyroid condition (in addition to whatever else) though…

          • Nevin

There were times when I would forget to eat. Ever since my surgery in 2007 if I am hungry I have to eat right then. Thankfully I don’t have a weight issue.

          • MsPythia

But like Stephanie pointed out, she’s got people who are there to take care of her every need at all times! You’d think that they’d know when she’s skipping meals or not drinking and would just go get her stuff — unless she’s such a colossal bitch to them that they don’t care…

          • Nevin

I’m sure she is not cooking for Bill and herself. You would think being around someone for 8+ hours a day they would notice if she was drinking for not. Yesterday one of them said she hardly drinks water. I’m drinking water all day long.

          • Dosido3

I’m kinda done trying to figure it out because everything they tell us is bullshit anyway.

          • MsPythia

            Yes, they’re liars about EVERYTHING.

          • Dosido3

wait, I figured it out. They have a fatal TRUTH allergy.

          • MsPythia

            And secrecy pneumonia! LOL!

          • MsPythia

Me too — I feel like shit if I don’t at least nibble and I drink tons of water. I also love to drink jasmine green tea in the afternoon– it’s like drinking a vegetable it’s so good for you.

          • That’s a real thought there, it wouldn’t be the first time that I heard that she treated her staff abominably.

          • Dosido3

LOL, well, tbh, I have one medication, just one I have to take now that I’m older, that has caused me to gain a little in the middle. That’s my excuse and I’m sticking with it!

          • MsPythia

Once you hit menopause, every woman gains in the waistline. I hate that, too.

          • Dosido3

yeah, that too. sigh. I get very jealous of my friends who are quite physically active, run marathons, etc. I could do same, but I don’t, sluggo that I am. I’m not fat, just…soft.

          • Since I had a hysterectomy, it’s going to be hard for me to tell when I hit menopause, should happen any day now.

          • Dosido3

we can force people to drink their water, you know what I’m saying?

          • Nevin

            I know I shouldn’t, but LOL.

          • Nevin

“That I recall” is her go to answer. You should know if you fainted more than once or twice.

          • MsPythia

Yeah, she either has trouble remembering things, or she’s straight up lying to everyone. In either case it makes her a dangerous pick for the presidency.

          • That’s going to be their Shield that they had it on other venues for people view.

However I would Hazard to Guess that the evening news has the highest ratings of any of those other venues, even the morning show.

The real thought here how can we effectively lie/ suppress information to the most amount of people. Or the opposite how can we reveal the truth to the least amount of people.

          • Nevin

But it caused more problems since other outlets were questioning why the 3 seconds were removed.

          • MsPythia

But they were hoping that no one would notice. Kind of like Hillary and her poor health. This is how sneaky people act.

          • Nevin

It highlighted the comment by the omission. If they had left it in no one would probably be talking about it.

          • This time. How many other times has it worked 🙁

          • Nevin

If there is another time when she is going to faint you have to believe they are going to cover it up a lot better.

          • MsPythia

But what if they can’t? What if it’s right out in front of everyone?

          • Nevin

I fainted once and I knew it was going to happened for probably a minute. I’m sure they can be creative.

          • MsPythia

If she has a disease that’s progressing, we may end up seeing something no matter how hard they try. I’m thinking of how she has had weird over-exaggerated expressions and facial ticks, or how she’s spaced out a bunch of times — like that one time she lost the thread of her remarks and said the nonsensical “upward spiral.”

            https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ohnVx88IIdU

          • Nevin

I’m tuning into the debates just to see if anything happens to her.

          • Dosido3

oh good idea. I can watch with the sound off.

          • Nevin

If you have the sound off you won’t know if she lost her train of thought.

          • Dosido3

I can her eyes bug out or cross as she has done previously. If I listen, I might have a seizure myself.

          • Nevin

Or just use closed captioned. What a mess that would be.

          • Dosido3

the thing with the DNC balloons was fucking weird…

          • Nevin

It was an over exaggeration. What I took is she was trying to convey she’s a normal person that gets excited about fireworks like everyone else.

          • MsPythia

Maybe. Or maybe she’s had a bit of ongoing brain trauma as a result of her concussion and blood clot. As some of the doctors who have weighed in on this have said, at least half of the people who had a brain clot like hers have issues that continue long afterward, and sometimes permanently.

          • Dosido3

well, I see what you are saying, but I thought it was weird beyond belief. She’s usually a choreographed stiff.

          • Edwin

I think the balloons triggered some sort of “brain event” and not the good kind.

          • Edwin

            freaked me out weird

            some ting wong!!!

          • Nevin

That wasn’t even losing a word. She lost the whole train of thought.

          • Yes and then that’s when they Implement their Shield “We’re being truthful and honest we’ve put it on other sites we are not trying to hide anything we had to do it for time constraint” whether or not people by into that, is another thought.

          • Dosido3

Are you talking about fellow DC insiders or voters? After reading Katherine Graham’s biography, I learned that it is quite common and polite for society folks to look the other way if someone in their circle is having any kind of a breakdown or medical episode. IIRC, her husband, Phil Graham was bipolar and had a very public outburst in the middle of a high level dinner of some kind in California. JFK offered a plane to him and his people to take him home. That stuff never hits the news.

          • Nevin

            DC insiders, specifically politicians.

          • Dosido3

IMHO, I think ignoring serious health issues is the last professional courtesy left in DC.

          • MsPythia

Oh wait, you’re talking about all the other Dems backing her? I think she’s been hiding her health, and that people have only whispered about it. The thing is, that video of her at the 9/11 memorial really ripped the mask off, and showed that her and her closest cronies are the only ones who really know what’s up with her health.

          • Nevin

Yes, our dem leaders backing her. And even now they seem to being making excuses for her.

          • Dosido3

All they need is someone in the throne, a placeholder, the corpse of Reagan even, to keep out the undesirables like Bernie or Jill.

      • Dosido3

I didn’t even know who the fuck Kaine was until he arose from the fever swamps of the DNC, representing the 1%.

        • Nevin

I heard his name before, but didn’t know anything about him. I don’t know why people cheered that she picked him since he is conservative.

          • Dosido3

            me either…

      • Dosido3

Reagan – I know he was already elected but I still count him.

  • SpiffyTheValiant

    :)) Nancy Pelosi is sneaky.

Saw an email saying from Nancy and at first I thought it was our nancy. Then I noticed the last name.

    • MsPythia

😀 Our Nancy is a lovely person.

      • SpiffyTheValiant

        indeed 🙂

  • Nevin

Maybe someone should tell Hillary Bill is still “dicking bimbos.”

    https://twitter.com/willrahn/status/776100071658098688/photo/1

    • SpiffyTheValiant

She’s a friend, but he doesn’t want to vote for her :)) some friend.

      • Nevin

I wonder if her friends have told her Bill is cheating or as long as it is kept from the public she is OK with it.

        • MsPythia

She’s very comfortable with secrecy. It’s the truth getting out that makes her unhappy and it it wrecks the bullshit narratives that they’ve so carefully erected for political purposes.

        • SpiffyTheValiant

I honestly don’t really think she would care lol

          • MsPythia

The caring ship sailed long ago. To me it appears that their relationship is based on greed and insane ambition alone.

          • SpiffyTheValiant

It’s more of a business partnership.

    • MsPythia

Lmao! And that was after his heart surgery. We know that Bill is creative with cigars and other implements, of course.

      • Nevin

He called her greedy and not transformational. What a friend.

        • MsPythia

Yeah – I get the sense that “friend” means something different in D.C. Than it means to average people.

          • Nevin

I just noticed he said she was 70 years old, but that email is 2 years old.

          • MsPythia

Odd, that… In the email from Leeds it struck me the way he said “she’ll turn 70 in office” like it was already a done deal.

          • SpiffyTheValiant

            Maybe he was just rounding?

          • Nevin

Probably, but I don’t want someone to round up 2 years on my age.

          • SpiffyTheValiant

            good point.

  • I know this is the candidate corner thread, but how do people feel about off-topic posts? Acceptable unacceptable?

    • SpiffyTheValiant

      personally, am fine with it.

      • Good to know, it wouldn’t bother me one little bit either :^)

        • SpiffyTheValiant

          <3

        • Nancy

          Afternoon!

          • lindajoyous

            Hi Nancy!

          • Nancy

            Linda! hello 😉

          • lindajoyous

            🙂

      • lindajoyous

        Hi spiffy! 🙂

        • SpiffyTheValiant

          hi 🙂

          • lindajoyous

            :-))

          • SpiffyTheValiant

            😉

    • MsPythia

      I’m good with it too.

      • Nancy

        Hey Ms!

        • MsPythia

          Hi Nancy! 🙂

    • Nancy

      I’m fine with it.

      • Hey Nancy <3 Good afternoon.

      • Speaking of pups how’s your little one?

        • Nancy

she is at the beauty parlour as we speak…she will come back looking like this and feel like those really soft blankets!
thanks for asking…how is your day going?

          • Until I go off on my business trips things will be relatively easy.

I always feel a little guilty…actually more than just a little at how easy life has gotten for me.

I’m glad your puppy is getting beautified :^)

          • Nancy

oh my…I know that feeling. mine has taken a lovely turn in the last year-it’s wonderful to be semi-retired and not stressed and upset. I feel like a different person. I have little patience with silly bullshit-but that’s not a bad thing.
enjoy it all my dear-you worked hard for this!

          • Thank you I appreciate that, it’s not like I haven’t paid my dues.

I just know that there’s alot of people out there, that never get a return on what they put in. That’s not my fault
I do everything that I can to make the system more fair and just, but still all the same I feel bad about the unfairness of it all.

I hope this doesn’t sound corny but I’m so glad I know you Nancy<3

          • Nancy

corny is good! same Stephanie-you, and many others here are why I am come back!

    • Nevin

Personally, I thought having a thread just to talk about the candidates was ridiculous. We’re all adults and can decide what topics we care to discuss.

      • I’ll accept this as a gesture of Goodwill or a solution to a problem.
But on a site that is not really topic orientated and more of a community, it can have its problems.

    • Edwin

As a class-A bad boy (^_^) I always approve of colouring outside the lines.

      • That’s why I loves ya, have a goodnight Edwin 😉

        • Edwin

          sweet dreams

  • MsPythia

    Off topic:

    • Adorable :^) did you get a puppy?

      • MsPythia

I never get tired of seeing dogs wearing hats. 😀

        • Sometimes I worry when people dress up their animals they look really miserable or worse yet scared, but this puppy just looks happy as can be.

          • MsPythia

Yeah, the whole body outfit thing is disturbing, but a hat? a stick on bow at Christmas? LOVE! 😀

          • Some animals are quite fine with it, they loved all the attention. And you can tell that they love it too.

      • MsPythia

No, it’s just a picture I saw on Twitter.

    • doubleplusliberal
      • MsPythia

        Hahaha!

    • Nevin

Strangely, I think it is the shoes, that outfit makes the dog look bigger than she/he probably is.

      • MsPythia

I love how the dog looks like it’s smiling! 🙂

        • That puppy is very well taken care of, he is quite happy

          • MsPythia

Likes being the center of attention — I love dogs!

        • Nancy

so much smiles. the cat below has a perfect “derp” face.

  • lindajoyous

    Hi everyone!

    • Hello dear Linda :^)

      • lindajoyous

        How’s it going today?

        • I have the chicken cooking for the recipe idea that you gave me I can’t wait for dinner tonight.

Are you feeling any better today, how do you feel…

          • lindajoyous

Thats cool, hope you like the chicken recipe! I love it but doesn’t work out well with colitis!
Yes feel somewhat better. Thank you Stephanie.

          • I’m so glad to hear that you’re feeling better.

Here’s a funny video. Although I don’t know if you still needed if you’re feeling better :^)

            https://youtu.be/txD8cTsuj9I

          • lindajoyous

Thank you for the cute video!

          • <3

          • lindajoyous

            🙂

    • MsPythia

      Hi Linda! 🙂

      • lindajoyous

        How are you today?

        • MsPythia

          Doing good, how about you?

          • lindajoyous

            Doing good thank you! 🙂

          • MsPythia

            Excellent!

          • lindajoyous

            Thank you!

    • Nevin

Hi Linda. Are you feeling better?

      • lindajoyous

Yes thank you, how are you doing?

        • Nevin

          Fine, thank you.

          • lindajoyous

            You’re very welcomed!

          • Nancy

            Nevin-hello!

          • Nevin

How are you Nancy? I’m anxious for Hillary to hit the campaign trail instead of the ground.

          • Nancy

            lol, you crack me up.

          • Nevin

Sometimes I do that to myself.

          • Nancy

good-I hope you laugh out loud when you do!

          • Nevin

I do Nancy. Someones I laugh so hard I can barely type.

          • Nancy

same…and have to run to pee.

          • Nevin

I think that is just old age. 🙁

          • Nancy

            yup…

          • lindajoyous

Hey Nancy I cough and dribble lol!

          • Nancy

            lol, yup-kids and age…

          • Me too :^)

          • lindajoyous

I’ll be watching movies or the “Golden Girls” instead!

          • Nevin

Good choice. I will watch the debates to see how Hillary acts.

          • lindajoyous

I just can’t stand to listen to them with what has happened to Bernie Sanders! So now it is Jill Stein I’ll focus on. 🙂

        • Nancy

          great to hear that!

  • lindajoyous

I feel pretty good today, but sad. Today is my oldest son Michael’s birthday, he passed away in 2008 from a methadone over dose. My daugher who is 1 year younger and youngest son who is 13 years younger than Michael has also taken losing Michael very hard!

    • Nancy

big hugs Linda-I cannot imagine what losing a child feels like. my heart is sad for you and your other children about this.
I hope you all can go to each other in this pain and feel closer at this time.
      so sorry that happened.

      • lindajoyous

        Thank you Nancy!

        • Nancy

          you are welcome…
          and loved-today and always!

          • lindajoyous

Awe you are so sweet Nancy!

          • Nancy

            some would disagree…
            ;-P

          • Hillbots, don’t count.

          • Nancy

            hahaha…

          • lindajoyous

            Good one Stephanie!

          • lindajoyous

It’s their loss and my gain and still sweet!

          • Nancy

            xo!

          • lindajoyous

            🙂

    • Nevin

Hugs Linda. That’s got to be hard losing a child.

      • lindajoyous

Thank you Nevin, yes it’s been hard!

    • MsPythia

So sorry for you loss Linda. Big (((HUGS))).

      • lindajoyous

Thank you MsPythia for the hugs!

        • MsPythia

          <3

    • I knew this would be a hard day for you, and I hope we can help you go through this difficult day with some fun and laughter, and love {{{hugs}}}

      • lindajoyous

Thank you Stephanie, this means alot to me coming from all of you!

        • It is my pleasure Linda you are a wonderful person, and I’m very glad that I know you <3

          • lindajoyous

Thank you, Stephanie, I am very glad to know you too! You are a wonderful person too! 🙂

          • Ty :^)

          • lindajoyous

            You’re very welcome! 🙂

    • Edwin

I’m sorry to hear that. We’re here for you.

      • lindajoyous

Thank you Edwin, that means a lot to mean.

  • MsPythia
    • We all warned the HillBots that this would happen.

    • Nevin

This is embarrassing. By all accounts Hillary should be leading with a wide margin. The DNC really fucked this up.

    • Edwin

Donald is the laughing stock of the planet and she can’t even beat him in the polls.

  • SpiffyTheValiant

MSNBC commericals suddenly have a lot of pneumonia commericals. You know after Hillary got it. But I”m sure that’s just a coincidence.

    • MsPythia

It’s bizarre how they’re trying to claim that pneumonia is something “mild” like the common cold. I saw the word “mild” in so many articles yesterday that I suspect it’s a DNC talking point like “power through.”

      • Nevin

Yesterday they did say they didn’t know what type of pneumonia she had.

        • MsPythia

But it’s “mild” Blue! Whatever kind it is!

          • Nevin

            LOL

          • MsPythia

It’s also not contagious — even though her whole staff had it too, supposedly.

        • Edwin

I heard she had the Parkinson’s disease variety.

          • MsPythia

            lol!

      • Annaleigh

And all of the Hillbots telling their pneumonia stories too. I’ve only known one person in my life who had it, and it was my Dad when he was already very sick.

        • SpiffyTheValiant

Oh yes, if you listened to them, everyone has pneumonia.

      • SpiffyTheValiant

Yes, like they are running ads for allergies or something :)) They are trying to make it seem very minor.

  • MsPythia

Hillary Clinton Is Getting Surprisingly Little Extra Lift From Blacks and Hispanics
    http://www.nytimes.com/2016/09/15/upshot/hispanic-and-black-support-for-hillary-clinton-is-overrated.html?_r=0

    • Annaleigh

Maybe now HOC (Hillbots of Color) can quit calling anyone and everyone who doesn’t support Hillary racist when for some our sin is little more than just not supporting their candidate and not actually doing or saying something racist. And the ones who made it sound like Bernie and his supporters were the second coming of the KKK and had to be stopped and then smugly congratulated themselves for doing so…

      • MsPythia

Yes, support for Bernie was because we were “privileged.” It’s bullshit. Hillary’s supporters are far more privileged and this has been borne out by the breakdown on who is voting for her: they’re older, and richer.

        • Edwin

          and stupider

          • MsPythia

            And snippy and nasty.

        • Dosido3

this is why Nina Turner was not allowed to introduce Bernie at the DNC imho. It would put the lie to the meme that Bernie only appeals to white people. White people like Danny Glover, Killer Mike. Rosario Dawson, and Nina and…

          • MsPythia

            Yes, indeed.

    • Dosido3

I’m not surprised because the support was all in her little DNC head.

  • MsPythia

    Surprise! Hillz LIED again!!!

Hillary Clinton’s story of a Vietnam era confrontation over law school admissions
    https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/fact-checker/wp/2016/09/14/hillary-clintons-story-of-a-vietnam-era-confrontation-over-law-school-admissions/

    • Annaleigh

And to think I actually kind of believed her this time, because I remembered what I’d heard about how men at Elizabeth Dole’s law school treated her back in the day. So the story was plausible, but as usual the facts don’t hold it up. Ugh.

      • MsPythia

It works as a victimized woman story for Hillary. She’s got a lot of them.

    • Nancy

my daughter bought into that one-I am glad to see your link.
I told her not ot believe it given her history of chronic lies.

      • MsPythia

Poor little Yale School Graduate! Men are so mean to her! And why should she care about whether they’re sent off to die in Vietnam anyway? She was still a registered Republican then.

        • Nancy

          such a victim…
and a liar. wow, such a liar.

    • Nevin

I never heard that story. She has so many stories she can write a horror book.

      • MsPythia

And if she’s asked about them, she probably just short-circuited, or can’t recall them later — because concussion. But don’t talk about her health, because that’s just sexist!

Is Ford Sending Car Production To Mexico To Help Trump?
    By Karoli Kuns

In what can only be described as naked opportunistic corporate meddling
in an election, the Ford Motor Company announced it is moving all of its
    small car manufacturing to Mexico.

    http://crooksandliars.com/2016/09/ford-send-mexico

I think someone has lost their marbles (and it isn’t me!)

    • Hello Edwin :^)

      • Edwin
        • MsPythia

          Haha! Hi Edwin!

          • Edwin

            Hiya.

It’s Korean Thanksgiving (Chuseok) here today. It doesn’t mean anything to me, but I like the feel in the air. It’s a big one, like Xmas over there.

          • Edwin

            Kulture Korner:

Chuseok (Korean: 추석), originally known as
hangawi (한가위 from archaic Korean for “the great middle (of
autumn)”(한가위), is a major harvest festival and a three-day holiday in
Korea celebrated on the 15th day of the 8th month of the lunar calendar
            on the full moon.

I like these guys with the ribbons on their hats (see nearer end of video)
            https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0C11dnFJyqA

          • MsPythia

Those ribbon hats are so cool!

          • Edwin

They are great to see. So energetic and very talented.

          • MsPythia

Are you going to make the Korean equivalent of a Thanksgiving meal?

          • Edwin

            No.

It is so much work. The women are in the kitchen for days beforehand. (Very chauvinist here.) They have to cook so many dishes and they all take a lot of work!!!

          • MsPythia

Well, that doesn’t mean you can’t make something you like to make yourself to eat! <3

          • Edwin

I cook all the time. A traditional Korean meal takes days to prepare. At some spreads there can be 20~30 dishes. The main dishes are always soup and rice and then they make a ton of side dishes. All of those side dishes are very labour intensive.

            http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-m-YmD6M0frw/Ufh_YLVxfgI/AAAAAAAAKHM/VNK2l1Ue7Xo/s1600/P1190273.JPG

          • Nancy

oh my I am salivating here!!! wow!

They make some really yummy stuff (and it’s all healthy.) They eat their heads off and most everyone is slim. Koreans LOVE eating!!!

I have been to meals like this.

          • Nancy

oh, if only…maybe because it’s all healthy?

        • Yay… Love it :^)

    • panem et circenses

I’m pretty sure Ford is sending their production to Mexico because the minimum wage there is $4 a day. Thanks NAFTA.

      • Edwin

That’s just crazy talk. Are you also a misogynist? Hmm??!?

It’s a plot to boost Trump and sexistly dump on poor womanized Hillary again. Darn that Ford Moter Co. Darn them!!

        • MsPythia

Everything is a plot against Hillary. I think Ford might be working with the RUSSIANS…

          • Nevin

Ford is secretly owned by the Russians. You heard it here first.

          • MsPythia

That’s why their new station wagon is called the Borsht!

          • Nevin

On cars for the US they will be called Soup.

          • MsPythia

I don’t know why, but this cracked me up!

          • Edwin

They hacked in and took over ownership so they could bring down Hillary.

          • Edwin

No doubt the Russians have their grubby little paw prints on this too. Good catch, MsP!!!

          • MsPythia

            😀

          • Dosido3

I notice all our worries focus on how Hillary’s day is going…

          • MsPythia

I want her to be shit-canned for rigging the primary.

        • panem et circenses

Her entire slant is idiotic its beyond words. She’s trying to say that Clinton will put a stop to this sort of thing, which she and her husband are responsible for and Obama hasn’t (since it’s happening while he’s president), and that Ford doing so somehow helps Trump, because, well, it just does.

          • panem et circenses

What she’s really admitting is that Clinton has no intention of curbing “free trade”, and some people are convinced that Trump just might, so she vomited all over a page about how its a conspiracy against Clinton.

          • Edwin

She’s a real crack editor. Amato picks only the best.

          • Nancy

she’s on crack? wow, hey everyone did you hear KK is on crack?

          • Edwin

I don’t know how the few good ones (commenters) left over there can wade through this garbage day after day.

          • Nancy

there aren’t many options out there.

          • MsPythia

I feel the same must be happening at Raw Story.

          • doubleplusliberal

            You misspelled, Quack.

    • Nevin

And when the election is over and Trump is president Ford will move back production to the USA. Trump will be seen as tough on corporations moving jobs out of the country and all will be good. Now where is that damn American flag I’m supposed to be waving?

    • doubleplusliberal

C&L is just stupid. They’re as insane and self unaware as the GOP-Teabagger crowd.

It’s the GOP behind all of this “Free Trade Agreement” stuff. They are the masterminds of NAFTA, and the TPP. I don’t see why the Democrats don’t bring out the fact that the GOP is in control of the House AND the Senate. They are the ones that are responsible for the formation of the bills and the budget, and have been for a long time now. The donald is trying to blame every single thing wrong with the country on the President. He thinks he will just magically become POTUS, and then, teaming up with the “do nothing” Congress, everything will be a bed of roses. It’s the REPUBLICANS DAMN IT!

      • Dosido3

I just lost 10 IQ points reading that…thanks DPL. are you still fighting the good fight and commenting there? or banned? just curious…

        • doubleplusliberal

          I’ve been banned for months.

          • Dosido3

ah. I was banned for commenting on the “wrong” sites. Not for anything I did or said on their site. kind of a retroactive banning. more ceremonial you’re fired/I quit kind of thing.

          • MsPythia

All the smartest and funniest people have been banned from the “progressive” blogs. The folks who are left are often the kinds who might have ordinarily said things in the past, but who now won’t say anything for fear offending the Hillary supporters, or being targeted for abuse.

          • Edwin

like I got banned from MJ the other day because a cadre of CTR workers didn’t like my posts

          • Edwin

anyone with a brain was banned

      • MsPythia

They’re acting like Obama isn’t the biggest TPP booster of all? Like the Clinton’s didn’t want to promote Nafta, or Bill to sign it into law? What dishonest assholes.

        • Dosido3

the tipping point for me was when KK “corrected the record” – her words! and told me Bill Clinton had his arms tied behind his back when he signed the GS repeal. I just posted his own quote saying he did it willingly and would do it again, no regrets. Pow! right in the kisser! Fucking lying asshole is KK.

          • MsPythia

That is a HUGE lie. That was Bill and Phil Graham working together on that repeal.

          • Dosido3

KK tried it twice with me.

          • MsPythia

These sycophants really don’t care about the truth at all.

          • Edwin

            she’s a bitch

          • Edwin

And people wonder why I rag on about her. She is in a position to influence opinions. She is a bald-faced liar and will stoop to anything to advance her (Brock’s) phony narrative.

I could make quite a list of the lies she told me too. Right to my face.

        • towerofbabel

It’s hardly possible to take what they say seriously. They must be having us on.

      • Edwin

Dolan55 was hushed first and bootie-wootie-wootsie second, both within seconds of each other.

Yet, we got banned and C&L welcomes this shit. Yup, cutting edge progressive shit going on there, Amato.

  • For those who haven’t called their representative to voice opposition to TPP here’s a number to direct you to your congressperson, if you would like to make that call.

    1-844-311-2016

The TPP is a piece of s*** and we need to do everything we can to try and stop it!

    • Probably should be posted in the open thread as well, since it’s general political news.

    • MsPythia

Did so yesterday — thanks Steph!

      http://www.independent.co.uk/arts-entertainment/comedy/features/the-week-in-comedy-margaret-thatcher-is-still-the-butt-of-many-jokes-9252668.html
“The point was to make people angry, as well as to make them laugh. The coverage of Mrs Thatcher’s death last year was almost entirely hagiographic”, he wrote in an article for the British Comedy Guide. “It sought to rewrite her history, only daring, in some instances to call her ‘divisive.’” And what of the criticism that he is exploiting the death of an old lady for crass commercial gain? “I like to think it’s what she would have wanted.”

It is strange that a year after her death and almost a quarter of a century after she left power Thatcher is still the butt of so many jokes. She famously had no time for humour herself. According to her biographer Charles Moore, “I’d say these things called jokes, which have punch lines and a set-up and say things like ‘there’s an Englishman, an Irishman and a Scotsman’… she had absolutely no understanding of them whatever.” And therein perhaps is the key to her comic longevity. Straight-faced always makes for a better stooge. And there were none straighter than the Iron Lady’s.

And it’s not because he’s so great, it’s because she’s getting worse.

      • MsPythia

It’s been an avalanche of bad news for her lately.

        • cathyx

I was just reading some of smokey’s comments about some more dnc leaked emails.

          • MsPythia

Yup — was that on the other thread?

          • cathyx

            At troy press

          • Edwin

I’ll have to go look. Haven’t made it over there yet. Just as I think I’m nearing the end here, I see ’43 new comments’.

          • I miss him something fierce.

          • Nancy

            same.

          • Edwin

Did he go somewhere? (Has he left us?)

    • Nevin

This episode, which shall remain nameless, isn’t going to help her in the next polls

      • cathyx

We’re allowed to name it here, just not anywhere else, i guess.

        • Nevin

According to Clinton and her supporters it is a non episode.

        • Just stop with that.

          • Nevin

I took Cathy’s comment to mean other sites, like raw story and crooks and liars.

          • cathyx

No, I didn’t mean other sites, Nevin. I got my hand slapped.

          • Nevin

            Oh.

          • Again, pointless snark, why? I don’t see anyone else feeling like they’re being terribly oppressed or controlled, and my aim is to make everyone happy, but here you are, agitating and, backhandedly, deriding me, to no purpose. Again why?

Just let whatever chip it is go, no one’s trying to punish or silence you, or anyone.

          • cathyx

It’s not pointless snark. I have a whole lot i could say to you, but out of respect for this site, i’m not going to.

          • It’s my site, in pointlessly disrespecting me, you’re disrespecting the site. If you’re unhappy here, no one is making you comment here. But don’t come into my house and insult me, and pretend I shouldn’t be offended.

I’m sorry it’s come to me saying that, I’ve never had any ill feeling towards you, but it’s clear you’ve got a giant chip on your shoulder and nothing I can do will make you drop it and there’s no need for you to come to this site and bad-mouth me, the person who runs it for the benefit of people whose opinions I enjoy and respect and who I work to make the site enjoyable for.

          • cathyx

I think it’s too bad that you aren’t open to discussing things here. You make a rule, we have to live by it or leave. If anyone disagrees with you, then you take it as a personal insult and an attack and feel disrespected. No chance for a discussion at all. Any opposition to your opinion is viewed as a personal attack to you. And I’m not talking just about this issue now. Anyone who disagrees with you is called out as disrespecting you.

          • What are you talking about what rule? I made a page/thread for a specific topis that was eating up the Open Threads. No one has been stopped from talking about anything, I just made a special thread for one, popular topic.

Saying crap like “We’re allowed to name it here, just not anywhere else” and “I got my hand slapped.” is being snarky and rude, no matter how much you pretend it’s not.

And that “Anyone who disagrees with you is called out” nonsense is just bull, and you know it. Please stop trying to cause trouble, where there was none.

  • Ann Watson
    • Nevin

she is in excellent mental condition.

I don’t see where Hillary’s physician is qualified to make that assessment.

      • panem et circenses

That was a pretty odd statement. I’m guessing they meant “medical”, unless someone is pulling a bait-and-switch.

        • Nevin

I disagree panem. I think they meant mental.

      • doubleplusliberal

“she is in excellent mental condition.

So she has coughing fits, hacks up green wall paper paste, faints on a frequent basis, requires a medical team to shadow her every move, and needs a small army to drag and toss her limp body into a van when she has an episode….but she’s in peak mental condition….seems reasonable.

        • Nevin

But they explained it…she has pneumonia. Get with the program double.

      • MsPythia

I thought the same. It’s as bizarre in it’s way as what Donald Trump’s gastrointestinal doctor said about him. Hillary’s doctor is not a neurologist so she has no expertise to make a claim like that.

    • Nancy

      hey Ann…

      • Ann Watson

        Hey Nancy!
        How are you?

        • Nancy

I am good…how is my favourite Brit?

          • Ann Watson

            indeed! lol…

    • cathyx

Of course, nothing to see here, move along.

      • Nancy

there is nothing to see because they are probably lying-as they do about everything else.

    • MsPythia

Of course she’s perfectly fine!!! Now take her other arm and let’s haul her into her van before she takes another header!

        • Nancy

I’d rather be called a bimbo.
…not if he was the last man on earth.

          • Nevin

People say he is charismatic in person. I don’t know what women see in him and it has nothing to do with my being gay. I’ve seen a lot of guys where I could understand the attraction women would have for them.

          • Nancy

I have always thought he was a sleazebag.
            smarmy and a perv.

          • I just see a flabby douchebag.

          • He’s so gross. I think I would vomit. Trump as well not sure how Marlena stands it, she sold herself cheap.

          • Nevin

The payoff is when Trump dies.

          • Honestly the guy had too many kids, she’s going to have to share a lot of it. I would be half tempted to help things along

          • Nevin

I’m thinking the kids get the businesses and she gets a good chuck of money.

          • Nancy

she was asked if she would have married him if he wasn’t rich…she answered by asking “would he have married if I wasn’t beautiful?”

          • Nevin

At least she can see the truth in that. He gets eye candy and she gets millions.

          • Nancy

        • MsPythia

If only Android would cooperate. Stupid thing. Don’t like their cloud backup, unreliable and flaky.

          • The_Fixer

Unreliable and flaky – that kind of sums up the Android experience, doesn’t it? 🙂

          • all_hail_the_hypno_toad

Yes. Don’t know if you if you’ve looked into it, but you need to start a Backup Agent, when you make a change to the data you do a DataChange(), once the OS decides it’s time to look at what to back up it then triggers their OnCreate(). The problem, it keeps giving me an error saying the Agent is null, granted this is through the Xamarin API and not native Java but still, bah.

          • The_Fixer

Sounds like a real treat to deal with. What do they back up on the cloud? Everything?

          • all_hail_the_hypno_toad

Depends on what you tell it. iOS just does it so much more smoothly and without developer intervention. I’m also not crazy about everything with Android being on the cloud, even when printing it has to go through them somehow.

          • The_Fixer

The fact that these smartphone OS people want to hang on to your data is one of the reasons why I have a feature phone. IOS may be a bit better in that regard, but I still don’t like it.

That business of having to go through google to print is insane and I would refuse to do it. No reason for that, especially since a lot of printers have WiFi capability. It’s just stupid.

I hear the latest IOS is having problems for some folks now. At work, we are recommending that our customers wait a bit before upgrading.

That quirkiness has got to drive you nuts when you are just trying to get an application written. I feel for ya.

          • all_hail_the_hypno_toad

I have a crappy cheap phone because for the last few years my employers have wanted me to give up control of my phone and not use it for personal reasons. Can’t do that if I can’t run their spyware.

          • The_Fixer

Wise move. That’s a perfectly unreasonable demand for them to make. That’s damn bold of them if they’re not paying for it. Even if they are paying for it, it’s unreasonable – people have private lives.

My phone is a company phone, and they keep suggesting I should “upgrade” – it won’t cost me anything and it’s perfectly OK. Problem is, I like a physical keyboard and don’t need all of that other crap. Right now, our phone provider has precious few of those. My phone is good enough to see a simple weather RADAR page, the only thing I really would like to see on the Internet. I don’t do e-mail on my phone, and just basically use it to talk, text, play music and wake me up. I don’t need a smartphone.

There’s something to be said for simplicity and reliability.

          • The_Fixer

Hey Steph, I did notice that Daniel upvoted a video that was posted about 3 hours ago, so he probably did turn in early.

        • Hi Fixer :^)

          • The_Fixer

            Hi, Stephanie!

        • Nancy

          ha!
          huge numbers for sure…
          evening!

          • The_Fixer

Hiya, Nancy! I think one would need a supercomputer out in the garage to get a count done in our lifetime.

          • Nancy

          • The_Fixer

You forgot step 3 – Profit!

Oh wait, that’s what Hillary does. Never mind.

          • lol

      • Edwin

        most of them

        • Nancy

has to be the case Edwin.

          • Edwin

People that aggressive and ambitious must leave a lot of carnage in their wake and also a trail of enemies.

          • Nancy

of course. it’s just collateral damage and comes with the territory.
they are just in her way.

    • The_Fixer

Let’s face it, saying “She’s a friend whom I respect” is the cushion for what comes after that. Yeah, she’s ambitious and greedy, but I respect her and call her a friend is certainly one hell of a contradictory series of statements.

And Bill? Well, we know that he has probably been on antibiotics for so long that he is likely immune to damn near every kind of STD that is known to humankind.

But they’re such a cute couple…. and deserve one another for sure.

      • Edwin

It’s like all the months of, “I like Bernie, but…” we got.

        • The_Fixer

“I like Bernie, but… I’m lying when I say that.” Something like that?

      • Nancy

I saw it as, she might be ok on a personal level but I don’t want her for a president.

        • The_Fixer

Then he’s confusing friendship with acquaintanceship.

          • Nancy

well she could be a friend…but not who he wants to see as president?
I do see what you are saying though.

  • Edwin

        Daniel upvoted your comment.

Reading, trying to keep up with all the thread, got home recently.

          • Nancy

nice to see you…she was just asking about you!
            hope today was better Daniel.

          • all_hail_the_hypno_toad

Long day at work again. I don’t like the way Google handles their backups. My manager has an iPhone and is wondering why Android doesn’t do backups the same way. Spent a good part of the day explaining as well as fighting with Android as it is really unreliable.

Slowly getting better. Less sneezing so that’s a plus, just need more sleep.

            How are you doing?

          • Glad you’re feeling a little better. Sorry Android keeps giving you problems.

            grrrrr…technology.

          • lindajoyous

I have my smartphone remind me to take my very important pills! It’s good for some things!

          • all_hail_the_hypno_toad

I have a weekly pill planner.

          • lindajoyous

I bought one, but haven’t put the pills in it yet! 🙂

          • all_hail_the_hypno_toad

I have to take two in the morning and two at night so that helps keep me in check. It’s bad enough even with taking them.

          • lindajoyous

Good you have a way to keep in check. Right how I only take a few pills at night!
My dad had alot of medicine that he had to take!

          • Nancy

yes, I sure love it when it works Linda!
            how are you feeling today?

          • lindajoyous

Much better, thank you Nancy, new bed and living room comes tomorrow yay! 🙂

          • I’m so excited, that is going to be so nice:^)

          • lindajoyous

Thanks Stephanie, I’m getting excited too! 🙂

          • The_Fixer

Remember, Linda, “pictures or it didn’t happen.” 🙂

          • Nancy

that’s great Linda-what fun for you to make your home pretty and comfortable for you!

          • lindajoyous

Thank you Nancy, my son’s wife to be loves the color I had picked out for the living room!

          • Nancy

see, another one that loves bright and happy colours!

          • lindajoyous

            Yep, happy mood colors! 🙂

      • Hey Daniel I’m so happy to see you :^) How are you feeling tonight?

    • lindajoyous

      Yay for Bernie!

      • Hi Linda :^) Everytime I hear him speak, I just feel so bad. The country could have had him, we could had that kind of integrity and honesty as our president. My anger with the hillbots, Hillary Clinton and DNC knows no bounds right now.

        • all_hail_the_hypno_toad

I know how you feel especially now with their scramble to cover her health issues and everything else. Then the it’s your fault if she loses, good grief.

          • lindajoyous

It will be her fault if she loses! Hi toad

          • all_hail_the_hypno_toad

Yep, but everyone else will get the blame.

            Waves.

          • lindajoyous

I know that is how it works! 🙂

          • Oh they can try… I won’t let them!
I’ll smack them in the face with their own stupidity for backing a loser candidate like Hillary Clinton.

        • lindajoyous

Stephanie, I feel the same, and never get tired of hearing him talk! 🙂

          • I know some people are really angry at him. I am just very proud of the fight that he waged I truly do adore him.

            LOL…I’m glad I’m not the only one:^)

          • lindajoyous

It angers me that the nomination was stolen from him! He is a good man and I respect him! 🙂

the rest of these cowards are a disgrace. I hope they get no votes from these people.

      • all_hail_the_hypno_toad

Hillary will be fighting for her corporate owners.

      • When did we as a society stop demanding that kind of Integrity in our leaders Ugg:/

        • all_hail_the_hypno_toad

Probably when Nixon got off scot free.

I seriously think if he had suffered consequences we wouldn’t have seen an emboldened W and Cheney and now the Clintons.

          • Nancy

excellent point Daniel-I will agree with you on that!

          • Interesting assessment.

          • all_hail_the_hypno_toad

Thanks, though it wouldn’t surprise me if it goes deeper and farther back.

          • I often wonder about a society’s threshold for corruption as it kind of embeds itself in the systems that have been around for a while and how difficult it is to untangle.

          • all_hail_the_hypno_toad

Look at Latin America and Italy and Greece for examples. Nothing works.

          • I know it’s scary. I hope it’s not an inherent flaw but rather we just haven’t figured it out yet.

          • MsPythia

Nailed that Daniel, that’s what I think too.

          • Dosido3

Don’t forget Reagan and Iran/contra hero Ollie North…

        • Nancy

          see Daniel’s reply!

  • 17

Man. Trevor Noah just laid into Trump somethin’ serious.

    • Nevin

We already know what Trump is. Right now the narrative is on Hillary. These emails don’t look good for her, her health issue doesn’t look good for her and the polls don’t look good for her.

      • Nancy

I so hope this will seriously damage her. she will have huge damage control in motion and have a massive clean up going on if she wants to have this all go away.

        • Nevin

I am really looking forward to the debates to see if she cracks.

          • Nancy

right…should be very interesting. I wish Jill could be there…wow-she would run circles around her-literally and figuratively.

          • all_hail_the_hypno_toad

She would kick both of their asses.

          • Nancy

they know that…she will never get on.
            too bad.

          • Jill would trash her. Bernie never wanted to be a spoiler, so he never went Full Throttle.

Just to be clear neither one would engage in character assassination, but they would whip her ass on policy.

          • Nancy

exactly. she is more outspoken than Bernie was…can you imagine if he could have really let go?

          • He would have owned Hillary. He has played this game a time or two 😉

Jill she’s just super smart people can’t trip her up, and they try ever so hard, even going so far as to edit her answers:/

          • Nancy

disgraceful. I was so glad when that came out. regardless of anything changing-it’s still out there for all to see.

          • Same here unfortunately…I don’t think enough people know about it.

That’s my real concern. There’s still a sizable gap between the people who watch television and the people who are on the internet.

          • Nancy

yes, there is a gap for sure…I’d love to think that there are enough to keep it going though…

          • Oh it will definitely keep going, far and wide particularly with millennials. it just won’t hit mainstream media of course, were unfortunately a majority of Americans still get their news.

          • Nancy

right…that’s how the keep they so ignorant.

          • True, My Hope Is that is changing… slowly but still changing.

          • all_hail_the_hypno_toad

I’ll just read it from you all, I can’t stand watching either of those morons.

          • Nancy

I can’t stomach them either Daniel.

          • lindajoyous

After they stole the election I want nothing to do with them and get my remote and turn them off!

          • Nancy

I was so disgusted Linda…I understand your doing that.

          • lindajoyous

I know it has really turned me off. Wishing for a Jill Stein miracle!

          • Nancy

seriously…I cannot imagine how this is going to go down.

          • all_hail_the_hypno_toad

I just don’t get it, it’s out in the open, how can people not just decide screw it and vote for someone else.

          • As much attention that Jill Stein has gotten, she is still relatively Unknown by a lot of people. It’s just going to take time and more work.

I do believe we are getting there though:^)

          • Dosido3

Me too. I wonder if we deserve a miracle…

          • lindajoyous

            🙂

  • Nancy

so I do wonder how much backlash there will be with the health issues and now the damage caused by the Powell emails being leaked, for Hillary?

    • all_hail_the_hypno_toad

On true Hillbots, none whatsoever. Everyone else though, remember R’s and D’s are the minority.

      • Wow… we really have different viewpoints on that 😛

        • all_hail_the_hypno_toad

          ¯_(ツ)_/¯

Well R’s and D’s are only about 30% each. I’ll bet turnout will be low.

      • SpiffyTheValiant

<3 Toad. Someone was asking about you.

        • all_hail_the_hypno_toad

          Saw that.

          • SpiffyTheValiant

<3 you are a popular toad.

          • Our favorite toad :^)

          • SpiffyTheValiant

            dat’s right.

          • SpiffyTheValiant

            Yes, you did. 🙂

    • Both a lot of Republicans and Democrats respect Colin Powell, they can’t dismiss him as a Bernie bro.

      • Nancy

        never thought of that.
        good point.

      • Edwin

I think a lot of fingers are busy on a lot of keyboards right now. We’ll see the fruit of those labours very soon.

I predict Amanda Marcotte will have a sexist angle in her piece. Just a hunch.

        • lindajoyous

Yeah my t key is sticking!

          • We’ll keep that in mind as we read your posts 😀

          • lindajoyous

Lol, I just have to press extra hard, 🙂

        • As I go over some of the stuff they have… one hitting point because it kind of offends me as a feminist, and that is laying the blame for Bill Clinton’s extra-marital Affairs as though this is her fault.

Really though it’s the only weakness that I can see. It’ll be interesting and I’m sure equally infuriating to see what they come up with as a defense.

          • Edwin

I don’t know about that. I don’t read her stuff. I read one (in the beginning) and have scanned over a few others. It’s really dreadful crap.

    • Edwin

They can blame the Russians. Everyone at C&L, and elsewhere, will lap that shit up and write stories ballads about it. Karoli can blame the Ford Motor Company working with Trump to destroy America (and will.)

      so excellent…love it!

    • Edwin

She’s really a fake-assed bullshit artist. Corporations love people like her for PR.

She can tell you all your children are dead and never stop smiling.

      • Her fakeness oozes and drips from every pore.

        • Edwin

          Imagine living with her.

          • Ewww

          • Edwin

And not for the usual ewww reasons. ^_^

  • Edwin

Guess who wrote this bullshit quackery and win a prize. [*One guess per customer]

Hillary Clinton’s doctor, Lisa Bardack, M.D., released a
comprehensive new letter about her medical condition, her pneumonia, and
even an ear infection she had last January.

But the best paragraph in the letter is where she writes, “The
remainder of her physical exam was normal and she is in excellent mental
    condition.”

That is a clear troll to Clinton’s opponent, whose mental health has
been the subject of great speculation. While it’s non-specific, it
clearly refutes the right-wing lie machine which claims Clinton is on
the verge of some physical and/or mental collapse.

    • Nevin

      Karoli.

    • Dosido3

I call bullshit on the excellent mental condition. I don’t recall a physical including an assessment of cognitive abilities. I could be wrong.

      • Edwin

        Hi, Everybody!

        • Edwin

          Hiya, Fixer.

          Good to see you.

          • all_hail_the_hypno_toad

You’re supposed to reply “Hi Dr. Nick!”. It’s a Simpsons quote 🙂

          • The_Fixer

We typed the same thing at the same time 🙂

          • all_hail_the_hypno_toad

            Yep 😀

          • The_Fixer

Hey, Edwin. Hope you’re having a good day.

But the proper response to that is “Hi, Doctor Nick!”

          • Edwin

Oops. Haven’t seen a Simpsons in about 20 years (or more.)

          • The_Fixer

Oh, that’s understandable then. Well, the most recent ones lack the best features of the ones that appeared 20 years ago, but they are still pleasant to watch.

I don’t honestly remember which season Dr. Nick first appeared, but that was his catch phrase from the beginning, along with the that response from whomever was in the room.

I once opened up a weather spotter training talk by saying that (in a good impression of Dr. Nick’s voice) and sure enough, somebody from the audience replied “Hi, Dr. Nick!” It made my night.

        • lindajoyous

Hi Fixer, good to see you!

          • The_Fixer

Hi, Linda! Always good to see you, too. I hear your furniture is due tomorrow. Remember, pictures or it didn’t happen 🙂

          • lindajoyous

Ok I’ll show you after we get it all setup! 🙂

Thank you, it’s a very old house built in 1923. 🙂

    • The_Fixer

      I gotta guess Smelly Pee.

And no, I don’t think think that Hillary’s health, physical or mental is strong enough to be President. Look at before and after pictures of the Presidents we’ve had. It’s a tremendous strain on a person in good physical condition. She is far from it. I suspect the stress of the job would cause some pretty hefty mental issues as well.

Regardless of whether she has pneumonia, Parkinson’s, or hoof-in-mouth disease, she does not possess the stamina that is required to be President.

        • The_Fixer

          Oooh, I like candy!

          • Edwin

It was Chief Big Stink, Smelly’s BFF.

          • The_Fixer

Or as I know her, “The Reprehensible One.”

          • all_hail_the_hypno_toad

            Douchebags are more useful.

      • all_hail_the_hypno_toad

I seriously doubt she would make it the whole first term let alone get reelected.

        • Edwin

I don’t think she’s going to make it to November.

          • all_hail_the_hypno_toad

They’ll just fill her with sawdust.

          • The_Fixer

While she sings “If I only had a brain.”

          • all_hail_the_hypno_toad

            lol

          • Snort…lol

          • Edwin

They’ll just fill her with more sawdust.

          • doubleplusliberal

            lmao

      • MsPythia

What we already know about how she couldn’t use a regular desktop computer, and handled her private server and her truly insane recklessness with her many, many devices, she’s not mentally fit either. She sounds like an arrogant old woman who’s not really up to the job.

        Btw, Hi Fixer!

        • Edwin

          Karoli or Clinton?

          • MsPythia

Shillz. But that seems to apply to Kunz as well!

          • Edwin

            ^_-

          • Edwin

(never miss an opportunity, I always say)

    • MsPythia

As Blue and I were commenting earlier today, Bardack is a regular physician, she’s not a neurologist. It’s really incredibly weird for her to have said anything about Hillary’s mental condition. It’s almost as weird as what Trump’s gastroenterologist doctor said about his health to mention something outside her area of expertise.

      • Edwin

Of course, Karoli could just be LYING. That’s her specialty.

(That’s how she banned me, ferchrissakes.)

        • MsPythia

No, that is what her doctor said. It’s a really weird thing for a regular physician to comment on a patient’s mental health — in fact, it sort of raises a red flag. Like she was told to say that, or like she went farther than she has the expertise to validly comment on that because she knows something about what’s really wrong, but is protecting her. I learned a long time ago that when people lie they always go farther into detailing things that aren’t necessary for them to say, and that’s how her adding that comment on the mental condition struck me. That kind of comment would be a lot more believable coming from the neurologist that dealt with Hillary following her concussion and treatments for the blot clot, you know?

          • Edwin

It’s pretty shocking the Clinton campaign would hire a liar liar pants on for doctor, isn’t it? Who would have thought?

          • MsPythia

I know — real shocker. It seems like the Clinton’s don’t want anyone around them if they’re not willing to be in their loyalty sphere. They’re such liars and are so secretive, that those people have to be willing to lie as well, and keep their secrets hidden.

          • Edwin

That’s why Brock hired a (lying) troll army and why he pays the blogs to lie for Clinton. Notice how they all published stories about chair throwing in Nevada and “English Only” in Nevada but never retracted a word even when it became common knowledge those stories were 100% bogus?

Here’s one off the top of my head, just for example (I can find others):

MoveOn Denounces Sanders Supporters Who Shouted Down Dolores Huerta (UPDATED)

            By Karoli Kuns

updated with new lies, but never the truth

            http://crooksandliars.com/2016/02/sanders-supporters-shout-down-delores

          • MsPythia

Despicable. You’re right, they never apologize or retract anything — and then demand our votes on top of that disrespectful shit. These rotten people can kiss my ass.

          • Edwin

It’s called LYING. They’ve been lying through their teeth over there for months and months. (Yet I was the one accused of lying when I got banned.)

          • MsPythia

I know Edwin — they SUCK!

          • Nevin

I had a Dr. (back specialist) write in his report about me that it was all in my head. Actually wrote that I never complained about numbness in my lower body, which was the symptom I was seeing him about. A podiatrist narrowed the problem down by his physical exam of my foot and and the symptoms I described to him. Sent me to a heart specialist and they determined I had a blood clot behind my belly button that was restricting the flow of blood to my lower body. Drs. are so specialized today they can’t see beyond their specialty. Clinton’s Dr. was reckless in her opinion of Hillary’s mental state.

          • MsPythia

Wow — I’m glad you finally found a doctor who could narrow down what was going on Blue. Did they give you stuff to dissolve the clot, or did they have to operate to remove?

As for Clinton’s doctor, it’s truly bizarre. She makes herself sound like a quack saying that — and maybe she is. A lot of doctors seemed alarmed by the medications that Hillary is taking, and they thought there are more modern, cutting edge drugs that would likely help her more.

          • Nevin

It was a bypass surgery. Spent seven days in the hospital in the most excruciating pain. If I had not gone to the podiatrist I would most likely not be alive today. The heart specialist had in on the operating table 5 days after seeing me.

I don’t understand Hillary’s Dr. talking about her mental state. If it was just overheating or even pneumonia mental state doesn’t enter into the equation.

          • MsPythia

Glad you had good doctors and that you’re okay now — sounds like an awful and scary ordeal! <3

Yeah, like I said mentioning Hillary's mental condition actually made it sound like she's lying.

          • Nevin

Thank you MsPythia. It is like talking about a hand injury and the Dr bringing up a foot injury. It really is just bizarre.

          • MsPythia

Our bodies are such complex things, aren’t they. So strange that pain or numbness in one area actually shows that something is going on in another. It’s amazing that medicine has mapped all these things — and strange that the brain is the one organ that is still so mysterious to us. Even though we’ve used our brains to figure out all the other stuff! 🙂

          • Nevin

What I learned, no matter your knowledge, if you are not able to look beyond your expertise and ask for help, you are doomed to fail your patients.

          • MsPythia

I wonder if Hillary might go to Bardack because she always gets to dictate to her. She’s quite the control freak it seems. Even after her fainting meltdown she refused to let them take her to the hospital and insisted on going to her daughters house — and everyone, including the secret service let her do that, rather than go up against her wishes. Keeping the secret of what’s going on with her health was of utmost importance to her — another red flag that there might be something very serious going on…

          • Nevin

We have a lot of Dr. Feelgoods because they learned to do what their patients wanted. If you are not going to prescribe what I want there are other Drs. waiting in the wing for my business.

Every two years I have to take an ethics course. I laugh about it. If you are an adult and you don’t have ethics now, no fucking course is going to give you ethics.

          • MsPythia

That’s the truth! Hillary seems to have a Dr. Feelgood, and Trump seems to have a Dr. Robert! 😀

    Hillary Clinton Mental.
A checkup for people knocking on a bit here can include simple perfunctory tests for indications of cognitive decline, I assumed that was what was meant by declaring her mentally fit. It’s only if there are indications of problems that the person is referred for further specific tests, brain scans and the like. Regarding her previous history of concussion and blood clot, presumably either she was given the all clear after treatment or she has regular ongoing checkups so that would not be a concern.

    • Dosido3

Thanks for the point of reference…I wasn’t sure how that worked.

If somebody who I hired talk to my children this way, he would be cold cocked, passed out on the floor.

But in this instance the father actively engages the financial investor to manipulate his child… that is some powerful crazy.

        • Nevin

In some wealthy families children are viewed differently. I’m glad at the end his mom tells him how proud she was of him. There seemed to be almost an embarrassment to being so wealthy. I loved the taxi driver.

          • That moment was very tender for me, for a variety of reasons. I’m glad that ultimately she reaffirmed her love for her son, and gave her support in his endeavor.

I was also angry and saddened when she painfully but bravely owned up to the fact that she was too weak to be an advocate for her son with his father.

          • Nevin

That family dynamic was interesting. The film that the dad made and what he saw and then to not want to talk about it. I almost got the feeling it was yeah, look what I did with my film and I couldn’t change anything.

          • I kept getting the feeling that he didn’t want to reconcile the man that he was, with the man that he had become.

          • Nevin

            Excellent point.

    • Nevin

Warren Buffett surprised me. What an asshole.

      • Right… thankfully I always look to rich people with questioning, suspicious eyes.
Admittedly we don’t know what was going on between their relationship or even his side of the story.
However even I bought into the belief that Warren Buffett is one of the “better” rich people. I guess I just always have to keep in mind, they let us see, what they want us to see.

Without getting into poor little rich kid scenario. I love how this documentary delve into how some of the children of wealthy parents question the status, only for the parents and their allies to rally together to attempt to mentally beat them back into the belief system. Also covers the consequences if they refuse.

        • Nevin

My mom grew up in a wealthy family, so did my dad. My grandfather, on my moms side, grew up dirt poor and really got lucky. I remember him taking my brother and me to the south side of Chicago. He wanted us to know how lucky we were and to see how others lived.

          • That is really interesting what do you think your grandfather was trying to stress to you…was it a work ethic- if you don’t work hard this will be your lifestyle type of thing, or did he want you to be aware of class struggle?

          • Nevin

By the time my brother, not blood related, and I were adopted things were a lot different. My mom did have the chauffeur and went to the best private schools. My grandfather knew all about his employees and their family. There was a great loyalty my grandfather had for his employees and them him. He stressed to never look down on a person no matter what their socioeconomic status was. We were never indulged as kids. If you wanted something you had to earn it. I’ve met people from wealthy families and some of them are great and others not so much.

The documentary was interesting to see how each dealt with wealth.

          • Not that any generation is without its problems, but it’s not surprising that your grandfather was a man of character. That was a day and age when the word professionalism and professional had very distinct meanings… of responsibility for your consumers, to your employees, as well as your community.

My grandfather like yours was such a man. I miss that ethic in my generation and my parents generation. Hopefully my children’s generation can recapture that belief system.

Hillary Clinton’s new book branded ‘most excellent toilet paper ever’ as sales tank

She wrote it with Tim Kaine.

I love this review. ” “I was pretty disappointed with this book. When the subject of the book is one of greatest criminals in American history I was really hoping for more.”

Damn I will never be that witty ;/

      • doubleplusliberal

        Here’s the whole revue.

By James on September 14, 2016
        Format: Paperback

I was pretty disappointed with this book. When the subject of the book is one of greatest criminals in American history I was really hoping for more.

Anyone can be a criminal, but how do you become the GREATEST criminal? that is what readers really want to know.

A step-by-step guide on how to monetize political influence, how to flaunt criminal behavior and even daringly project ones own criminal behavior onto other people — specifically other political opponents — is what I, and I think I can speak for everyone, would really want from Hillary.

For example, How do I get the head of the FBI to conjure up non-existent legal standards for my law breaking? What kind of dirt do I need on the FBI for the head of the organization to lie under oath about the need for “intent” to mishandle classified information when an intent requirement is nowhere to be found for this law? Furthermore, how do I get the FBI director to look the other way from the obvious intent of setting up the server in the first place, telling staffers to remove classified headings, telling the company monitoring my server to use bleachbit to delete all the emails AFTER getting a subpoena? This is truly groundbreaking criminal excellence that needs to be explained and shared. Hillary claims to be about fairness so her keeping all these tips to herself isn’t very “fair” to the rest of us aspiring criminals.

How about a step-by-step explanation for how I can project my illegal dealings with the Russians into a negative narrative for my political opponent? Hillary was able to sell 25% of an American strategic mineral (uranium) while coincidentally receiving a large donation to her foundation from people associated to the deal and the Russian company purchasing the large stake of US uranium, but that is not all! Hillary’s husband went to Russia to give an AMAZING speech at a russian gov owned bank, I don’t really know if it was amazing but I imagine it had to be for them to be willing to pay hundreds of thousands of dollars for a 45-90 min speech wink wink. Yet despite all this obviously nefarious and clearly dangerous for US Nat security behavior Hillary has successfully been able to shift her Russian ties onto her political opponent, another incredible feat!

        How is it done?

        How can we do it?

5 stars when I can get those answers!

        • Nevin

          Thanks double.

        • SpiffyTheValiant

          oh wow, they were thorough.

Unk, my vision kind of sucks and it’s hard for me to make out details…I need glasses but can’t afford them.

        • Nevin

If you click on the photo it allows you to enlarge it. You might try those readers you can find at the drug store.

          • doubleplusliberal

I’ve got readers…and magnifying glasses. My eyes are just bad lol.

          • Nevin
          • doubleplusliberal

            Hey, thanks for the link!

          • Nevin

            Hope it helps you.

          • Edwin

Ooops. You can ignore my “helpful” tips above.

        • Sorry Dpl 🙁

        • I wasn’t commenting on you, just the Photoshop.

I had no basis to assume you had perfect vision and didn’t. Since we have several folks here with physical issues, I never assume someone has the same physical abilities as me.

        • Edwin

You can buy some of those “cheaters” (magnifiers) at the pharmacy. They will do the trick for the computer and whatnot.

        • Edwin

This is easy to use. I use it every day many times. Enlarge up to 10X

          http://magnifier.sourceforge.net/

    • And, really, I was exaggerating, this is the worst photoshop ever… 😀

  • I’m curious to see how many have you guys have seen this documentary the Four Horsemen?

    http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=5fbvquHSPJU

    • Edwin

I’m pretty sure I’ve seen it. I watch so many I lose track.

      • Watch it again if you please… for I would like to hear your thoughts on their Solutions of Taxation.
Employee-owned companies is something I fully support. I’m just trying to figure out how consumer taxation would fit into that. Consumer taxation makes me think of sales tax which inordinately affect the poor, but they seem to imply it would be taxation on Capital which I would support.

        • Edwin

I will check it out. I know I kept seeing in and didn’t download which indiicates to me I had watched it.

If you’re interested in employee owned companies you might want to watch some Richard Wolff (economist) videos. He’s pretty cool. He has a gazillion vids on Youtube.

          • I’ve been watching his stuff I do like him a lot.
Plus I read an excellent book on the topic years ago, but I loaned it to somebody, and I never got it back.
Unfortunately I can’t remember the title.

  • kreskin

The recipe could not be simpler. Mix cynicism with greed, quickly stir and voila ! American politics and government served up on a platter to the highest bidder.

Call it low cuisine. And it doesn’t get any lower than what we’ve seen during this wretched campaign season — a presidential contest that, as one friend in Washington recently said, pits “the unethical versus the unhinged.”

    Hillary Clinton’s Iron Lung

    By Mike Lux

The hype over Hillary Clinton’s health is a worrisome indicator of the sickness of Big Media.

    http://crooksandliars.com/2016/09/hillary-clintons-iron-will

Yes, blame the media for her passing out on 9/11.

    • Edwin

Oops. Should be -> Hillary Clinton’s Iron Will

(now how did that happen?) ^_^

      • panem et circenses

It’s okay, you picked yourself up and powered through that commenting stumble. You’re like the Hillary Clinton of Disqus commenters.

        • Edwin

To say otherwise would be sexist.

          • doubleplusliberal

The easily manipulated dolts lap that crap up too…takes no time for the comments to turn into this…
            https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t4zYlOU7Fpk

          • Edwin

It was already getting really bad before Purge #2 (bootie-wootsie, Cathy Cucaracha, etc.) . The dolts that have flooded in since we all got banned are just idiots.

          • Edwin

Karoli forbidding us from talking about the Brock Troll Army, on pain of banning, was beyond the pale. It was an international news story, but it made her gal look bad.

          • doubleplusliberal

They banned and forced out those in the community who called out their bullshit.
I have NO respect for Amato and his site team of liars. They’re no better than the Republicans.

          • SpiffyTheValiant

I was banned on Crooks, for saying I was banned on RS.

          • doubleplusliberal

I called them a propaganda outlet and asked how much Brock was paying them.

          • SpiffyTheValiant

Well at least you got to go out with a bang lol.

          • Dosido3

she IS a tired old hag…I just want to run down the street shouting, THE EMPRESS HAS NO CLOTHES ON!!!

          • SpiffyTheValiant

O_O *pictures her naked. Is scarded now.*

          • Dosido3

that was a Big Tell, right there. if she isn’t in on it, why would she mind?

          • Edwin

She’s so totally wired into the Clinton campaign. Susie and Nicole are at BNR. I’m sure they email back and forth all the daily Brock talking points.

Oh, but…. they’re not in the tank for anyone. (Assholes.)

  • MsPythia

Hey kids — are you all powering through your day? Are you strong and true no matter how many times people mess with you and knock you down do you quit? If so you’re just like Hillary!!!

    • Feeling mighty powerful today MsPy…lol

      • MsPythia

Me too — hardly hacking up any wads of phlegm at all!

      • MsPythia

        LMAO! That’s awesome!

        • panem et circenses

First page of a “power through” image search. Who said conservatives are never funny?

          • MsPythia

I posted it to my FB — I said I hoped everyone was having a powerful day! 😀

          • SpiffyTheValiant

            Such a nice ms.

    • SpiffyTheValiant

      Power through.

      • MsPythia

        Spiffy! <3

        • SpiffyTheValiant

<3 Basket of deplorables, power through.. they have such a robotic language, these Clintonites.

          • MsPythia

Well, we would think that — being deplorable Bernie/Jill Bros!

The first presidential debate between Democrat Hillary Clinton and Republican Donald Trump is less than two weeks away.

The debate is set for Sept. 26 at New York’s Hofstra University with moderator Lester Holt of NBC Nightly News. It will air live from 9-10:30 p.m. EST (8-9:30 CST) without commercial breaks and will be carried on all major networks – ABC, C-SPAN, CBS, Fox, NBC, CNN, Fox News and MSNBC, among others.
    http://www.al.com/news/index.ssf/2016/09/when_is_the_hillary_clinton_vs.html

    • Nevin

Lets hope the only thing Hillary falls over is her words.

      • MsPythia

I hope she has another medical episode on camera — so that they’ll be forced to tell us what’s actually wrong with her.

        • Nevin

In all fairness I was being sarcastic.

        • cathyx

          That’s what i’m hoping for.

          • MsPythia

I think that will be the only way she can lose at this point — having a major episode in front of everyone, so that there is no doubt left at all that she’s got some sort of neurological problem.

          • cathyx

I’m not even sure that will work. Her supporters, the media, and every politician will make excuses for her.

          • Edwin

It was a once in a thousand years blip. Nothing to see here.

Let the (cough) medical experts explain.

          • cathyx

            Are you saying it’s nothingburger?

          • Edwin

            yup

            touche 😀

          • 17

            Good point!

          • MsPythia

She’ll power through her clotting/stroking/fainting/falling nothingburger.

          • 17

And MsP enters the competion with a point! out of nowhere!

          • cathyx

She’s not competing, so i think the point should go to me, since i started it.

          • 17

            Your comment is awaiting Moderation.

          • cathyx

lol. Big bad moderator, flexing your muscles.

        • Edwin

I bet if someone could sneak a strobe light in there it would trigger something (like the balloons did.)

          https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eeZQ5VROfBE

          • Dosido3

I notice when she turns her head to the right, something goes haywire. Might explain why she turned to lean on the podium with her elbow in one of the debates with Bernie. He was standing on her right. Maybe I’m reading too much into this…

          • Nevin

You could be right as Parkinson’s can initially affect just one side.

  • MsPythia

If the DNC really cares about losing to Trump, they would tell Hillary to bow out due to health concerns, and put Bernie in there. But they won’t, and they don’t really care about Trump. The election must be rigged already.
    https://pbs.twimg.com/media/Csa6B8mUsAACiXu.jpg

    • Nevin

If she has her coughing spells during the debates she is toast.

      • MsPythia

I’ll bet she’ll win no matter what. This appears to have been promised to her a long time ago — the 1% really wants this on the left and right. The Neocons are all voting for her.

        • Nevin

Trump was terrible in the debates and yet his poll numbers went up after the debates and he won the repub nomination. If people have lingering doubts about her health he could steal it from her.

          • Dosido3

That’s not really a fair assessment. Trump looked like John Q. Adams compared to some of those booger eaters and knuckle draggers. Don’t forget snarlin’ Carly and Krispy Kreme. He had mastered the art of the sound bite and the tweet!

          • Nevin

But…he never really said anything pertaining to the questions. His zingers were good, but that told us nothing of his policies.

          • Dosido3

the debates are for show and who “performs” well, at least, which candidate the MSM says performs well. And soundbites for the echo chamber.

          • Edwin

The thing is, he was able to knock the other guys out with things like calling Jeb low energy, etc., and he won. And that’s all that seems to matter in American politics.

    • SpiffyTheValiant

      No pa 🙁 ?

Wow he’s ahead in all of them.

  • cathyx

Debate schedule: Mon. Sept 26, Sun. Oct 9, Wed. Oct. 19.

    • cathyx

The donor class, the rich people, the corporatists, the military industrial complex, big pharma, and wall street, wants to keep power at the democratic party where it is, with money. They would rather risk losing to Trump than risk winning with Bernie.

      • That is heartbreaking… but yeah that’s the choice they made.

      • Dosido3

well, it is THEIR democracy. They bought it, they own it. 😛

        • cathyx

They paid good money for it, goddamnit.

          • Dosido3

So…I blame THEM, not millennials, not berniebros, not low info voters. The Wall Street crowd get the credit (!) lock, stock and barrel.

          • SpiffyTheValiant

Yay for once my generation wasn’t blamed for something.

          • Dosido3

Did you see our millennial discussion on the other thread? MJ EdinChief doesn’t like you very much…
She didn’t bother to “hide” her sentiments in a leaked email either…put it right on Twitter for all to read.

          • SpiffyTheValiant

IDK MJ Edin, but I don’t like him either.

          • Dosido3

I meant Mother Jones Editor in Chief, sorry :/

          • SpiffyTheValiant

I figured that out. Just never really read their stuff much XD

          • I love millennials. I posted this a few days ago.

          • I raised four..beat you :^)

            😛

    • cathyx

Jimmy is voting for Trump! lol.

      • Nevin

        He’s voting for Jill.

        • cathyx

Did you watch this video? He’s voting for trump.

          • Nevin

Yes I did. He said he wouldn’t vote for a fascist.

          • cathyx

Ok, i guess it was kinda vague. But he ends with, a vote for hillary is a vote for the GOP establishment. And voting for Trump will end the GOP establishment.

          • Edwin

            go to 11 minute mark

          • MsPythia

            I think it’s a joke — maybe?

    • notisaidthepig

      Fuck. That was awesome.

    • Dosido3

just watched this all the way through. yep. a vote for Hillary is a vote for the status quo whether you are R or D. Interesting, deep down everyone, I think, a little, clings to the status quo. It’s scary to think what will happen – the unknown. But the status quo sucks so badly right now, maybe we can overcome that fear of the unknown.

    • Nevin

I really wish these emails came out a lot earlier.

      • Yep, I also wish the Wikileaks would have come out faster.

    • Edwin

      yup

We all could have guessed all this stuff. The “professional left” is lying …..(yes, you Karoli. Hiya, how’s things going, dear?)

    • Edwin

The people running your country are no smarter than the boobs you work
with. It all depends on who claws their way to the top. (And no one

  • I think somebody posted this about Scott Walker already but I’ll post it again.

And a corresponding TYT politics YouTube video on the topic.

    • Probably get more interest in this in the general OT. 😀

  • Edwin

MSNBC wasn’t the only ones jerking off to Obama yesterday. I can think of someone else who had one of their dildos fired up (to high speed.)

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EuUT2ZZjlyA

    • SpiffyTheValiant

      That was insane.

      • MsPythia

        And she HATES “that man!”

        • SpiffyTheValiant

          But Obama loves her.

          • :^)

          • Dosido3

O knows which side of his toast is buttered.

          • MsPythia

Maybe he’s afraid the Clinton’s will have him knocked off like they did Seth Rich.

          • Dosido3

yeah, I thought that when he was first elected and hired all those Clinton people…

        • Edwin

        Yep.

        • Edwin

          the noive

    • MsPythia

They like that sweet, sweet CTR cash?

      • Dosido3

I thought David Corn at least would have some integrity left…but no. Disappointed!

    • Edwin

Since Hillary can’t convince the voters with her speeches, she’s trying to buy off the media.

      • MsPythia

She already has, looks like. As Jimmy Dore pointed out in his latest show, that’s why we all rely on the internet these days to hear people calling out the Democrats. The five companies that own the media are totally in the tank for Obama/Hillz.

        • Edwin

So are most of the “progressive” blogs. They sold out and trashed their long-time communities. We meant nothing to them, just a bunch of clicks so they could get $$$$$$. We are expendable. They don’t care.

          • MsPythia

But now, they are expendable to all of us. They’re not interested in the truth.

          • Edwin

there’s no point in going to a blog that censors you

          • MsPythia

It’s really weird how so many of us had to wake up to the fact that these are people who really don’t even have any progressive principles or real sense of ethics and fairness. It’s been terrible to find it out, but it’s also a good thing — that’s why all the people here are so great!

          • Edwin

Karoli had some tells. I pretty much knew who she was. I took her to task once or twice, but in the interest of harmony I mostly just noted them and bit my tongue. I hung out there because I had been going there, and nowhere else, for so many years that it was my family… largely because of the community. In general, it was always a leftie-type blog, yet heavy on the Dem koolaid drinking, which I both overlooked and commented on quite often. (As a foreigner I have never been a Dem and spotted their cracks as soon as I started following US politics in the bushCo era. Basically, a nicer brand of Republican– but not no more.)

But once this election got fired up Karoli, Madrak and Amato (Nicole was off recovering from PTBlogBitchDisorder) went fucking batshit crazy and lost their damned minds. They crushed their long-time loyal readers like Godzilla crushed Tokyo.

        • Edwin

that would be terrible, wouldn’t it?

          • all_hail_the_hypno_toad

They might down vote her, tee hee.

          • Edwin

Not satisfied with banning half their readers…

          • Dosido3

            I welcome their hatred.

      • Edwin

        I like to stay informed.

        • Dosido3

you mean informed about misinformation, I guess.

    • MsPythia

It’s like they have no idea that sane people now think both parties suck, and are filled with imbecilic assholes.

      • doubleplusliberal

SK is about the only voice of reason left in the community had he’s treated like dirt.
I commend him for keeping up the good fight.

    • doubleplusliberal

SK is about the only voice of reason left in the community and he’s often treated like dirt.
I commend him for keeping up the good fight.

      • What is he even still doing there, I wonder?

        • doubleplusliberal

Not letting the bullshit go unchallenged?

          • I guess. I just guess it seems a shame to stand in the middle of a fertilizer plant and rail against the bullshit. 🙁

          • I do think there is some Merit too challenging prevailing thought. I just contemplate how effective the lone voice in the room can be.

Though style counts for something too. Sometimes I wish people would take more of a Benjamin Franklin approach to introducing different or controversial ideas.

          • Well, I do have a good deal of appreciation for what he’s trying to do, I just can’t see him moving the needle even a micrometer, over there.

          • Particularly if they’re going to scrub posters of a particular flavor, over another, and considering the paid posters that they overlook and indulge.

          • Edwin

I’m glad there’s one or two who can go in there, just in case.

  • Nevin

I just finished watching Dancing With The Stars. Rick Perry is as stiff a dancer as he was a presidential candidate. Why is it repubs have no rhythm?

    • MsPythia

Because they’re uncool, and don’t enjoy life.

      • Nevin

I’m a great dancer and singer in the shower. But, I’m not a person that has spent many years in the public eye and developed a persona. He couldn’t even fake it.

        • MsPythia

I’m a great dancer too — comes totally natural to some people. But I even like people who aren’t naturals at it dancing. The way I see it, all you really need is to try to have fun, and lose the inhibitions about perfection when it comes to dancing. It’s one of the most human things in the world, and a beautiful one. So is singing. I used to be able to sing okay, but then I went through menopause and now my voice is terrible — and I’ll still sing, as long as I’m not making my voice crack trying to sing something too high for my voice to handle. 🙂

          • Nevin

            My shyness really inhibits me.

          • MsPythia

That’s why it’s fun to get all your friends to dance with you — being shy dissolves pretty quickly when you’re surrounded by people who like you! 🙂

          • Nevin

Nancy and I discussed it the other day. I am truly painfully shy.

          • MsPythia

But you’re smart and funny — and a good dancer! You got it all going on! 🙂

          • I second that. Well at least I can attest to the smart and funny. Plus I can add caring and insightful.

The other day as I am going to the grocery store I see a guy and his dog on the corner. Every time he walked away from his dog she showed a little bit of being upset. He is still there on my way home. I couldn’t get the image of him and his dog. I dropped my groceries off and headed back wondering if he and his dog were still there. Yes, they are there, but for how long. I go to PetsMart and buy a bag of dog good and head out to the corner. I give it to him and 10 bucks. I’ve never done that before. I head to my car and am shaking because it was a red light and this feeling of shyness overtook me.

          • MsPythia

That’s a beautiful thing you did, Blue! I used to be rather socially awkward and too self-conscious when I was younger — doing a lot of volunteer work really helped me get over a lot of that even though it made me really uncomfortable at first. Also as I get older I’ve come to realize that I was judging myself by lots of invalid metrics that this society instilled in me from day one. It’s not that I don’t want to care at all what other people think, it’s that I want to trust my own instincts and natural inclinations without filtering everything through the anxiety filter of our twisted society. What you did says a lot about who you are — a good person.

          • Nevin

In my job, because I am so confident in what I know, there is no shyness. My mom was a model and absolutely gorgeous. All my life I was compared to her and could never live up to that.

          • MsPythia

My oldest sister was the extremely popular and prettiest one in my family — so I can totally relate. But you know, people like that have their own issues too. I know that because my sister was always so pretty, she didn’t have to develop her personality and intellect in important ways, and had people always handing her everything. As she got older it was difficult for her let go of all that attention she always got, and try to develop herself in order to feel fulfilled. It’s funny that now, even though I envied her when we were young, I can finally see that I was better off — never the cutest one, but not ugly, and the one who had time to do a ton of reading and my artwork, rather than going out to socialize constantly the way she did. She has even told me that she wishes she was more like me — because I had to be self-reliant and actually work to get some attention.

It’s funny, the older I get the more I realize that we’re all walking wounded in someways — and that’s why we have to be kind to ourselves and others. <3

          • A beautiful thought MsPy ♡

          • MsPythia

            <3

          • Nevin

Excellent. I think in today’s society there is so much pressure to look a certain way. I don’t know what a person of a certain age should look like and is that really important? Maureen McCormick was a lot of peoples fantasy when she was in the Brady Bunch. She is the same age as myself and she has aged naturally.

          • MsPythia

I like natural. I’ll never get “work done” on my face, that’s for sure. I have a few friends who have done botox and other stuff, and I think it looks a bit freakish — and you can always tell because it looks unnatural. I think Diane Keaton looks amazing with her wrinkles — and she’s still stylish and unique. That’s what I’d rather aim for! 🙂

          • Nevin

I’ve been going grey since I was nineteen years old. I refuse to dye my hair.

          • MsPythia

I dye my hair — but one of these years I plan to go to my stylist and have her remove the color and see what I’ve got and maybe go lighter all over. I have naturally dark hair, and if I had streaks of grey, I’d be in love with that, but instead I’ve got curly hair with salt and pepper — and I’m not ready to look like an old poodle yet! 😀

          • Nevin

I’m lite brown/dark blond. I actually have no problem with people dying their hair or getting face lifts if that makes them happy. But don’t go chasing youth.

          • MsPythia

I guess if it makes them happy it’s worth it, but since it’s so noticeable as frozen face, or surgery I wonder how they can bear looking in the mirror. I try to not to judge, but I definitely know that it’s not for me.

          • Nevin

It is not what we see, but what they see.

          • MsPythia

Yup — and I guess it makes them feel better, or they wouldn’t go through all of that. While I’m squeamish about the very idea of it!

          • Does it really make them feel better? I wonder.

          • Nevin

Good question. Meg Ryan over did it with the lips. She is obviously not the only celebrity that has had bad plastic surgery. I feel for them wanting something and getting something that had caused them much ridicule. If you or I, not being in the public eye, had the same surgery would people notice? Does she see what we see?

          • MsPythia

Meg Ryan was so pretty before — she should have left her face alone! I bet she’d still look lovely, even with some wrinkles. Renee Zellweger did a number on her face too — I know she had that kind of aging where the eyelid starts to droop down very low, but instead of just getting that lifted a bit, she went and had her whole face re-arranged. She doesn’t even look like the same person!

          • Nevin

The question is…why? What made Meg or Renee feel they needed to alter their faces? They were both pretty women before. There just seems to be an unrealistic standard that people are chasing.

          • MsPythia

Yes. That’s what I meant when I said the anxiety filter of our society — they must attach so much to the idea of a face without lines in it. They’re actresses too though, so they might feel like they have to do stuff because of the camera… But jeeze, erasing all the character to achieve that seems bizarre too.

          • Nevin

At the same time that makes it harder for the rest of us. What does a 40, 50 or 60 year old look like?

          • MsPythia

Like Diane Keaton! Or Helen Mirren, or Meryl Streep (although she may have done a little?). They all look good!

          • The perception question is a good one. I really need to mull that over a bit.

My thought was more centered on the idea… of whatever we do it’s a temporary thing with a temporary pleasure. Does it help them in the end to deal with the fact that they are aging and all that that implies. Suppressing or in this case covering their fears and anxiety only allows them to grow and intensify at least in my opinion.

          • MsPythia

I don’t know, but clearly it’s important to them. The idea of anyone cutting my face or injecting it with poison is horrifying to me. If you got in an accident and got messed up, I get it, but voluntarily? No way!

          • Nevin

An ex of mine was in a horrific car accident. They pronounced her dead at the scene and took their time getting her to the hospital. She did have surgery to her face. I never could ask her, but was curious what it felt like looking in the mirror and seeing someone different.

          • MsPythia

Yeah — in that sort of case as long as I didn’t look like a total mess, I’d count my lucky stars that doctors can do such amazing work. That must have been very traumatic for her, but I bet she was glad that they could fix her face, you know?

          • Nevin

She was a very good look woman before and after. There will little hints that she felt she was not as good looking as before.

          • MsPythia

That’s rough — still, she was lucky to look good afterward. I know a few people who have been disfigured to the point where there was nothing that could make it look normal at all. A friend of mine from high school went through the windshield, and lost an eye and had so much damage that they couldn’t really erase a lot of the damage. It’s very sad.

          • Nevin

Why is it sad? I’m not being flippant in that question. For me I’ve always placed more on the persons personality. I had a friend, absolutely gorgeous, that women fell over themselves for her. She got Bell’s palsy and all of a sudden women would ignore her.

          • MsPythia

I guess I think it’s sad because when i ran into her after the accident, I didn’t even know who she was. I had heard about the accident, but hadn’t seen her afterward because it happened right after we graduated and I went off to college. She came up to me at a wedding I attended a couple of years later, and said hello and started talking like we were old friends, and I didn’t know it was her even though the voice sounded so familiar. I had to ask her, and I could see that made her upset, and I had to apologize. I really felt terrible, too. I do agree however that a person’s personality is all that truly matters.

          • Nevin

No need for you to have apologized MsPythia. There definitely should have been a heads up for the attendees. I can understand feeling terrible, but that is because you are a sensitive and caring person.

          • MsPythia

We were friends, but never very close friends. She was good friends with someone that I knew very well, so there had been things we did together because of that. There were a lot of people I knew from high school who attended this particular wedding, and I think I never got a heads-up because they had seen her after her accident, and were used to how she looked after all her surgeries. Only I didn’t it seemed. There is something incredibly tragic about the loss of recognizable identity in that way — and I’m sure that may be the hardest part psychologically of enduring terrible traumas like that. I am certain that people who only knew her as an acquaintance from high school would have been as in the dark as I was over who she was if they saw her.

          • Nevin

My saying is “a sense of humor is one of the most sexy qualities.” I’ve met some incredibly good looking people that just didn’t do anything for me. I think all of us can relate to meeting some that was just so ugly inside that it took away from their physical beauty.

          • MsPythia

Anyway, getting late here, and I’ve got a big day ahead of me tomorrow. It was great talking to you Blue and Stephanie! I’ll see you both soon. Have a good night!

          • Goodnight MsPy & Nevin. I’m off to bed myself.

          • Oh, that’s rough. Sometimes I can be insensitive when I ask questions. I probably would have asked her.

          • Women who have lots of facial work look like Cruella Deville to Me :/

          • Nevin

They never look younger, just worked on.

          • Nailed it!

          • MsPythia

            Yes, it’s ghastly!

          • Staying close to what is natural, both with my person and in my environment has been ever so important me, both in terms of mental and physical health/well-being.

          • My running joke is.. white girl that can’t dance 🙂

    • They have no soul? It takes soul to dance.

  • MsPythia
    • Nevin

I just got an email, yeah I’m special ;), from Robert Reich that states Hillary’s lead is “gone.” You are running against the most incompetent person and you don’t have a commanding lead. How pathetic is this?

      • MsPythia

I got that too — I’m on his email list. It’s depressing that he thinks that people who supported Bernie actually give a shit. It’s like you want to email back and say: No Shit Sherlock! Your party picked an ASSHOLE for the 1%!

        • Nevin

Thanks MsPythia from taking away my specialness. 😉

            Yourself?

            Hope you’re doing well.

          • MsPythia

I’m doing good — busy days for me lately.

          • Nevin

You are always on my mind as Noti is.

          • MsPythia

            Group hug! <3

            Nice job.

          • Edwin

The neocon leaders in Washington are cozying up to her, but what about Ma and Pa in the living rooms of America?? I think a lot of people are tired of America’s endless wars.

          • The_Fixer

Obviously we “little people” peons are quite tired of sending our sons and daughters off to engage in perpetual warfare that empties the national treasury and only yields death and destruction. Maybe that’s why so many people are embracing a two-bit orange-hued barroom braggart. You really have to be disgusting to not be able to beat him.

Trump Is Still A Birther And Always Will Be

    By ______ ____ (?)

Unfortunately, the (cough) shoddy journalism here is just a bunch of Trump tweets, re-posted. All I can say is Hillary never should have started all this Birtherism stuff by releasing the tribal picture. And given that the Clintons call Obama “That man,” and HATE HIM (see Colin Powell’s emails), I think fingers should be pointed at Hillary too, and maybe doubly so.

    http://crooksandliars.com/2016/09/trump-still-birther-and-always-will-be

    http://s3-origin-images.politico.com/080226_obama_dressed.jpg

Remember when Clinton was asked if she thought Obama was a Christian?? Remember her cheesy answer? But let’s lampoon Trump for doing the same.

She said “He was asked one more time, ‘Where was President Obama born?’
And he still wouldn’t still say ‘Hawaii.’ He still wouldn’t say
‘America.’ This man wants to be our next president? When will he stop
    this ugliness, this bigotry?

And people see this bullshit and get disgusted. The “left” (these Clintonista shills) has become worse than the right. And Clinton is losing because of it. She’s going to lose to Donald Trump.

    (So there!) ^_^

    • Edwin

Ya know… this bullshit makes for such a nothingburger story. ^.^

    • Edwin
      • Edwin

She’s (Clinton) aged a lot since 2008. I guess all those health scares really take a toll on one.

        • Nevin

She’s aged a lot in the last year.

          • The_Fixer

Imagine how she’s going to look in 4 or (wince) 8 years if she manages to steal the Presidency. Assuming that she is able to live without an artificial breathing apparatus and a battery of electronic devices keeping her “alive”, that is.

          • Forget about how she’s going to look. I think the presidency will kill her within the next four years. Morning Fixer :^)

          • The_Fixer

I agree, that’s why I qualified it with the bit about the artificial life support 🙂 She is simply not healthy enough to handle it without artificial support. Maybe that’s what she’s counting on, technology coming to the rescue. Of course, she doesn’t understand tech, no wonder she’s really barking up the wrong tree.

And Good morning to you too, Steph. Happy Friday, I am off to start my workday. Take care! 🙂

          • Dosido3

that’s kind of funny – relying on something one doesn’t understand. sigh.

          • Have a great day Fixer :^)

        • To be fair, I’ve aged a lot in the past 8 years too. Back then I still passed for youthful. 🙁

          • Edwin

I have no intention of insulting you. ^_^

          • It”s OK if you do. Even if you were to insult me, I’d know it was with love.,, And, that I probably earned it. 🙂

          • Edwin

            mwha mwha (*kiss noises)

Former Democratic Congressional Candidate Says Hillary Stole Nevada
Dan Rolle: Dems cooked voter files to rig Nevada win for Clinton
    http://observer.com/2016/09/former-democratic-congressional-candidate-says-hillary-stole-nevada/

    • Nevin

What is so disheartening is nothing will come of it.

      • MsPythia

I’m just glad we can shove this shit under the noses of the Hillbots and say: your candidate is invalid and deserves to lose.

        • Nevin

They will just deny it happened and say it is a smear campaign against her.

          • MsPythia

But they know that’s a lie, and they also know they don’t give a fuck about Democracy.

          • Edwin

Surfing around the net these days is like one of those movies where aliens have taken over the minds of everyone and we are the last few unaffected hiding out from them, at Unka’s. .

          • MsPythia

            I love this place!

          • Edwin

I looked into Alternet and HuffPo earlier. As predicted, the comments are full of the moronic Hillbots with their default ‘but Trump’ nonsense. It’s all they got.

          • MsPythia

Jimmy Dore laid out yesterday why Trump should win. I think he’s right.

          • It’s a theory MsPy, unfortunately I don’t know if it’ll pan out that way. More than likely they’ll find a way to get rid of Donald Trump and Mike Pence will be our president.

          • MsPythia

Whatever gets them in disarray I support. Whatever shows the Democrats that progressives aren’t down with their rigging of the primary I support.

          • People should vote their conscience I believe and support that thought. Just know nothing good for progressives will come of a Trump/Pence presidency.

          • You would think they would understand their candidate was a loser if their only defense was the other candidate is so much worse.

          • Edwin

Whole blogs (which shall remain nameless) (cough cough) use that as their business model. Imagine posting nothing but anti-Trump stories all day long and morons flock in to read them.

(Although I suspect Brock is slipping them a few fins under the table to spew Clintoncamp propaganda.) (I don’t think those authors actually believe the garbage they publish.)

          • I don’t know about that last part people are pretty good about rationalizing their choices and behavior.

          • Edwin

That may be true. Either way they are damned.

          • cathyx

            You’re up late tonight, no?

          • Hi cathyx :^)

          • Edwin

I am up late for me. I was already in bed, but woke up. I find I’m better to go online for an hour or so and get more tired and then go back to bed.

I went to bed at 9 pm. I usually go to bed between 9 and 10.

          • I don’t know how valid it is, but that’s what I’ve heard that it’s better to get up and do something for a little while then try to go back to sleep. Rather than tossing and turning in bed forcing yourself to try to sleep.

          • Edwin

I get lots of sleep so getting up for a bit when I can’t sleep works for me (plus I had some itchy mosquito bites.) I am a regular sleeper. I usually go to bed 9~10 and wake up at 4~5 am. I get enough regular sleep not to worry.

          • Nevin

They are in such denial about anything negative about her that I’m not so sure they do.

          • MsPythia

They’ve been the same way about Obama. Let’s face it, these people are stupid and gullible as fuck to be cheerleaders for Republican policies just because they’re now called “Democrat.”

          • Edwin

            Party tribalism has ruined America.

          • MsPythia

They’re as mindless as sports fans.

          • Edwin

            moreso

I have to say it really surprised me when I first started hitting the blogs. I never followed US politics until bushco. and when I first went into the blogs I was quite shocked at the tribalism. Canadians are not like that about our political parties, not in the least.

          • MsPythia

Canadians are so much cooler than Americans.

          • Edwin

            Hosers with stuff going on.

          • MsPythia

            😀

          • For now perhaps, especially while passions are high.
For some people truth has to sink in. Morning Nevin

          • Nevin

Morning Stephanie. How much evidence do we need for them to see the truth?

          • I don’t know the answer to that.
Society should have reached a Tipping Point of giving up on on these two losers, a while back, but with our media cheerleading and covering. I honestly don’t know what it will take.

    • Edwin

Between the “flying chairs” and “English only”, everything about Nevada stunk to high heaven, but, of course, I am just a hateful misogynist so….

      • MsPythia

        Yup, it’s called being ratfucked.

        • MsPythia
          • Nevin

I think most of us are aware the media manipulates the narrative.

          • MsPythia

Those of us who Demexited definitely know this, but they’re counting on the fact that many people just turn on the television for their propagandized “news.”

          • Nevin

Are there numbers to how many people left the dem party? I think very few people pay attention to the news. I bet you can ask people on the street about Hillary fainting and 50% probably don’t even know about it.

          • MsPythia

They don’t poll for that. That doesn’t fit the narrative to get Hillary elected.

          • Edwin

Have you seen any of Hillary’s seizures? yes/no

Have you seen any of Hillary’s coughing fits? yes/no

            What do you think?

          • lol

          • Dosido3

It’s bitchy karma for all that greed. And the lies are leaping out of her mouth like toads. That’s why she’s choking and coughing.

          • Nevin

I’m an Independent. It is interesting to see the BS I receive from both parties.

          • The_Fixer

My dear Blue, you are the Queen of understatement 🙂

          • Dosido3

yes, we are. But many people are not. I mean, wow, my coworkers were discussing The Faint – a man and a woman. The woman was describing the situation to the man who hadn’t heard the latest. And yes, the woman said she thought all the speculation was sexist. I bit down on my fist pretty hard to stay polite.

A moot point since she won’t drop out. I’m looking for to the headline, Dem party urges Hillary to drop out do to her failing health.

      • MsPythia

Maybe she won’t have a say in that if she has another medical emergency in public…

Everyone saw her collapse in NY. That toothpaste ain’t going back in the tube.

The media and the blogs are doing their best to change the subject and point at Trump’s faults, but in every single comments section I have seen people are talking about her ill health.

        • Nevin

I think they will limit her public exposure. By that I mean, half an hour, forty five minutes at tops being out in public.

          • Edwin
          • MsPythia

As I understand it, there will be no commercial breaks during the debate. I think that’s an hour long.

          • Edwin

I hope they can hide all of Hillary’s equipment behind a podium: the stuff propping her up, the braces, the catheter, etc.

          • MsPythia

Maybe she’ll have another seizure or fainting spell no matter how they try to prop her up.

          • Dosido3

They’ve got a ventriloquist at the ready. Don’t you worry…

          • Nevin

Then look to see where she focuses at.

        • No one can force her to abdicate her position as nominee, that’s clear in the DNC’s bylaws. She has to abdicate voluntarily or not at all. And Nevin is correct, she won’t drop out for love or money. At least, not as much money as they’d be willing to offer her.

          • Nevin

But the party can put pressure on her to drop out. Good for the party and all that crap.

          • Yeah, but, c’mon, do you really think she’d give in to such pressure? It’s Her Turn, and all. She’s absolutely determined to be the first “woman” president. She’s only got to hold out for 6 weeks.

          • Edwin

It’ll probably turn out that she loses and we get blamed. All the misogynists at Unka’s blog will be the new Ralph Naders.

          • MsPythia

I don’t care what they say. Not at all.

          • Edwin

Me neither. Never have. I am that gadfly.

          • MsPythia

They have no right to say shit. They destroyed any chance of unity during the primary by being as rude and disrespectful as possible anyway.

          • Nevin

I do. Legacy is very important to the Clinton’s. They have already tarnished it and what better way to brighten it up by saying for the good of the party and the nation she decided to drop out do to unforeseen health issues.

          • Well, we’ll have to disagree, I don’t think it’s “legacy” that’s important to Hillary Clinton, I think it’s “success.” and she clearly defines that as being elected the first woman president.

Add to that the last weekish of constant media chatter about her health hasn’t moved the polls any noticeable amount, which is unsurprising, to me, because all the media’s health-nattering is all just deliberate, if ad-hoc, diversion from real issues, and a helpful one, because nothing will come of it, while talk about her real, objectively factual disqualifications might move the polls against her.

          • Nevin

Actually longer than that. She needs to be sworn in otherwise she will just be the first woman to win the presidential election.

          • If enough people become concerned about her health the public can apply pressure as well.

        • notisaidthepig

Oh, MsP. I just canNOT imagine her EVER dropping out. The presidency is her Precious. She would have to die (not that I wish that on her).

    • Great article thanks for posting it. I hope you’re having a good day MsPy :^)

      • MsPythia

        Thanks Stephanie – you too!

        • SpiffyTheValiant

          Ms 🙂

          • MsPythia

The Spiffy!!! Good day dearie – I’m just about to leave the house but I’m glad I have a chance to say hello! <3

          • SpiffyTheValiant

            🙂 <3 ah okay

          • MsPythia

She’s not the only millennial 😛

      Hi Edwin.

      • Edwin

Hi, Toad (if you’re still around).

I know, but Spiffy is often vocal about millennial issues.

  • Edwin
    • notisaidthepig

Jill is polling at 1%? This is a farce. The polling is being manipulated.

      • all_hail_the_hypno_toad

        dafuq?! That sounds like bs!

      • MsPythia

As they said, no one under 50 being asked. I’m over 50, but well aware I’m in the minority among my age group — who for some psychotic reason thinks there’s only two choices.

    • all_hail_the_hypno_toad

She’s bullet proof. Impervious to attacks. Electable even.

      • notisaidthepig

        Ha!

        • all_hail_the_hypno_toad

          Is my sarcasm showing? 😉

          Hi noti.

          • notisaidthepig

            I can tell. 😉

Hi, toad. How are you doing this Friday evening? Did you hear that Star Trek Discovery has been pushed back until May 2017?

          • all_hail_the_hypno_toad

Yep, well they haven’t cast anyone so not surprising. The teaser they showed is not a final design on the ship either and Fuller is still working on American Gods.

I took off work early. Put in a lot of hours this week. Our app can backup and restore the database finally, but Android sucks and fails repeatedly.

            How’s your day going?

          • notisaidthepig

I’m good. Just got a message from my brother who wants to go see Snowden tomorrow so that’s happening. Then Sunday is going to be a full day of schoolwork again. No way to avoid it. Open House is this coming Thursday. There’s no rest for the weary. I’m feeling really tired so might head up to bed soon. Just can’t keep my eyes open.

          • all_hail_the_hypno_toad

I hope you sleep well tonight.

Let me know how the movie is please.

          • notisaidthepig

Am soooooo looking forward to tonight’s sleep. Will definitely let you know what I think about the movie.

          • MsPythia

            <3 Piggie.

          • Speaking of movies, did any of you see Zero Days? Planning to watch it but curious if anyone already did. It’s by Alex Gibney so I’m going to assume it’s really good.

Have not seen it, but thanks for the mention.

      LOL!

    • I don’t think that can be considered “art”. That is some as-yet-unknown pathology visualized through a cocktail of Fox News and LSD.

      • The_Fixer

        A bad trip, for sure.

  • Dosido3

WTF. so I guess these things aren’t true about Hillary because Bernie said them? Or something? Or they are true and how dare he point it out?

    http://www.motherjones.com/kevin-drum/2016/09/dont-hate-millennials-save-it-bernie-sanders

“Here’s where I part from Clara: I reserve most of my frustration for Bernie Sanders. He’s the one who convinced these folks that Clinton was in the pocket of Wall Street. She gave a speech to Goldman Sachs! He’s the one who convinced them she was a tool of wealthy elites. She’s raising money from rich people! He’s the one who convinced them she was a corporate shill. She supported the TPP! He’s the one who, when he finally endorsed her, did it so grudgingly that he sounded like a guy being held hostage.”

    • Nevin

I feel sorry for Bernie. If what he has said and believes it must be killing him to support Hillary.

      • I believe that to be the truth.

        • Nevin

I understand politics and know it is a dirty profession. I could not in good conscience give up my beliefs.

          • I don’t think he did. He chose a strategy that some people passionately disagree with.

He has spent his life dedicated to Progressive beliefs. I don’t know how much more a person can do, to prove their loyalty and dedication to those beliefs.

It’s late here and my brain is pudding, so I will save this for another day.

Have a good night Nevin :^)
