      • Well, right now I can’t quite be rational about Moon and Ahmed: They’re trying to prevent Dweezil performing under the “Zappa” name, by trademarking “Zappa”. They’ve both been the most outspoken opponents of the ZpZ tours. Lord knows if they even realize that they’re actually hurting the estate. Or maybe they do, if they hold a grudge over the situation you just described.

      This is from my second favorite Zappa album after Overnight Sensation. I really like Zappa’s work but the statement he is the best composer of the 20th century is a bit of an overstatement. Okay, it’s a huge overstatement.

    So……

    Yesterday I cruise into my local Best Buy to pick up an Xbox One. They have basically what appears to be a skeleton crew working the store. I ask two of the blue shirts if they can help me for a second, and get blown off being told that they got a few other customers they are working with despite be being the only one in the fucking area. Cool. I wait around 5 minutes, then 10, and finally I say in a very loud voice “Who the fuck do I have to blow to get some help over here?”, heads turn, next thing you know I got two blue shirts heading over to help me. I get talking with the one with my questions, as I was also considering the PS4. I apologize profusely for my outburst, I felt bad for getting pissed off, and I was raised to admit your mistakes, and apologize. I shake the mans hand once again apologizing, and he tells me it’s OK.

    I go back today to get something else, I check in with the guy at the front of the store because I thought I may have left my winter hat there at the store. It’s one of the rabbit fur hats, that my deceased mother got me, so I’m bummed over it disappearing on me. I explain I was there yesterday, and that he may have even heard about it, as I was the one that got pissed off, and said some shit at the top of my voice. He laughed, and goes “That was you?” Sheepishly I admit that yes, it was me, and he smiles, and goes you are awesome! We were talking about you. I’m like what? No, he goes, really. People do go off on us all the time, but you’re the only that has ever apologized for it! You left here in greater regard, than when you entered!

    Mind blown…..

    Nope, they didn’t have my hat either. I’m pretty positive it was stolen while I was at the doctors office from the waiting room. I’m pissed, bummed, and at times want to cry when I think about it. It’s not that it was an expensive hat or anything, it was faux fur, quilted on the inside, but it was the last gift my mother ever gave me. That hurts. It hurts a lot.

      LOL at your outburst and apology – my hubs comes close sometimes…

      As for your hat, ouch. You could try two things…think of its loss as maybe it’s meant to move on to someone who might need it more or it’s a sign from your mom about something. I like to think magically in those situations. Or sometimes I pray to St. Joseph (my Catholic hubby taught me that one) for a lost thing or to St. Jude for lost causes…I know that’s not for everybody. I’ll do it for you! 🙂

        • Accusing the Jews as a people, or Israel as a state, of inventing or exaggerating the Holocaust
        • Demonizing Israel by blaming it for all inter-religious or political tensions
        • Judge Israel by a double standard that one would not apply to any other democratic nation

        There’s yer problem, right there. Actually, IME, the real problem is that the government of Israel feels free to find some fundamentalist Christian American legislator and send them on an expense-free trip around “Europe and The Holy Land” and then, after doing this old reciprocity shtick on him, he’s easy to click into action. And none of that is the fault of all Jews, just the ones that run the Israeli government.

        This country just needs to sever all financial and military ties with the state of Israel. It’s the only moral thing to do at this point.

        EDIT: Anyone know what King Umpaloompa’s attitude towards Israel is?

            YT was able to do what it did, long before Google gobbled it, because the dot-com boom money was still flowing, and YT was able to secure half-a-billion in funding before lunch. I don’t know if that could be arranged, these days.
