2 party system. End of, You can have any kind of economic policy but you can’t so far change the “status quo” without removing the mechanisms that put it there.

My priority is economic policy because my theory on this is when people have the money that they need to survive and thrive war is not something that people are willing to participate in.

And I’m not making an argument for the Lesser evil. I’m asking what is our priority and focus and what would do the most good.

One lady said she was onboard with the Greens until Stein picked Baraka. She didn’t like him at all. However, she said she was a lifelong Dem that had Demexited and was now an independent and she would NEVER vote for Hillary.

Yeah, that’s the question. Not one word was really said about Trump. This lady that hated Baraka said she would definitely be voting for down ticket races and implied she might not vote for president.

I’m hoping they are just processing through their disappointment. November seems like a long way off. I have a feeling lots of people are going to drift to Stein…eventually.

You are so right. But it’s just been a month since the Dem convention and look at how busy Stein has been. She’s getting more and more press. And her numbers have increased. Also, she is relentless and keeps hammering the Dems. I think it will pay off. I heard the most interesting idea for the debates (it was someone’s comment on the Sane Progressive’s YT channel). I think Stein might have an idea or two up her sleeve.

I really do think this is the beginning of the end. The establishment has NO idea what working class folks are going through. And these folks have had enough.

She is so smart to do that. She is a truly brilliant and brutally honest woman, and proves it every time she speaks.

I align myself with the Eugene Debs camp of socialism and progressivism — who upon his 10 year conviction for violating the Sedition Act (via Democrat Woodrow Wilson) because he dared to give an anti-war speech prior to WWI, gave one of the most amazing speeches ever, and at the beginning of it he said:

I’m supporting and voting for candidates and ballot initiatives that align with my principles and values. I am seeking to become more engaged in my community, particularly the GP here in NV.

I did say that but I mostly meant it in jest. Mostly. I was honestly curious to know who people were going to support for the presidential ticket now that Bernie was not an option. I only “push” Stein because that’s who I believe in. I don’t really browbeat folks into voting for someone. Who you vote for has to be your own decision. I might not agree with it but I do respect it.

And really, in the back of my mind, I still WANT to believe in Bernie. I gave a lot of my time and money to his campaign. I felt betrayed by him for a number of reasons such as that he never really spoke up about the election fraud and also I felt he did not follow through with his promise about fighting at the convention. Nothing I saw tonight on his livestream was encouraging to me.

And may I ask you something? You write: “you could have cared less about our Revolution that I
find to be undermining the event.” How are you measuring my level of “caring less”? I’ve very curious. Also, since when do you “own” our Revolution? The revolution is as much mine as it is yours. I don’t cede the revolution to you or anyone else.

I think we are on the same page here. I support progressive values and principles. I would vote for a Dem such as Tim Canova or Alan Grayson in a heartbeat.

I’m not sure using the metric of no GP office holders in Congress is fair. The establishment parties have quite the stronghold on the system for a variety of reasons the most obvious one being the quid pro quo that comes with campaign contributions and main stream media collusion.

I think it’s too early to talk about the 2018 elections because this cycle is not over and it’s proving to be a transformational one which will, undoubtedly, impact the next one. Let’s take it one step at a time.

I’m not sure how anyone will be applying pressure to Clinton or any of the establishment Repubs and Dems. If they are willing to hijack the primaries to ensure their victory, I don’t think it bodes well for our future elections. But we’ll see. I do think if there is enough of a groundswell with the populace, then the tide will turn. I’m hopeful this is what’s happening.

There’s no undermining “Our Revolution” — because it made no sense from the beginning anyway. I was a totally dedicated volunteer for Bernie’s campaign, and neither I, or anyone else I worked alongside of has taken this thing seriously. Most of us think that Bernie himself undermined his Revolution from the very moment he endorsed the establishment candidate who stole the primary from him, and who represents everything we were voting against, and working our asses off to defeat.

I gave him all I had during the primary. I will give him no money to pump into the DNC coffers, because it’s all going to Shillz. It was that way during the primary, and it’s that way now. Fuck Her.

I disagree. He owed them NOTHING once it was clear that he’d been cheated by the DNC. He OWED ALL OF US WHO WORKED AND DONATED SO MUCH TO HIM MORE. Without us, there IS NO REVOLUTION.

The money we donated all went into the DNC’s coffers for their down ballot races. They stole our money, just like they stole our primary. Fuck them. I’m not a Democrat any longer after working, donating and volunteering my ass off for them my entire life. They don’t deserve the money or the efforts, or the loyalty of people like me any longer. They stole from and cheated me too, and they can go fuck themselves.

I’m Green Party now. I’ve given enough to that corrupt neoliberal party and I don’t believe in what they stand for any longer. Only two among the so-called “progressive” politicians endorsed Bernie, the progressive candidate. They endorsed Shillz. They are SHIT in my eyes now. There’s no going back from who and what I now know them to be.

I don’t either. The only thing that would have made sense was to continue what he started outside the Dem Party. There is NO REVOLUTION inside it that can happen, and if he was as smart as we’ve given him credit for being, he’d have gone with the Greens. He just didn’t have the guts that his supporters and volunteers do, sadly. And he is clearly too tied to being “respectable” in the Senate.
